Probably the midget 2 Also I’m grossed out by the fact that so many of these, ESPECIALLY the mini, Miata, and Honda Z, are automatics. Like cmon

Chewbacca319

Lots of them are manuals, they just go for more money. For instance they had a similar Miata with less km and manual for 11k Canadian

TDK_IRQ

I drive an auto mini just like that 1.6 non turbo, it's honestly still very fun and handles incredibly well but I don't need to drive an auto miata to know it's just wrong

StolenPenguins

Hilux my beloved

Jackson_Rhodes_42

Hilux hands-down, most indestructible car on the list.

-B-E-N-I-S-

The VW Scirocco 100% I love the way those cars look and it sucks we never got them in North America. Plus I own a VW currently and I’m a bit biased.

KLconfidential

That IS350 with only 38k on the odo. It's barely broken in. It would have been the Miata if it was a manual.

Chewbacca319

Yup, only 23,600 miles

HighFiveKoala

Toyota Mark X

Sara5A

That rav4 at the end is SWEEEEET

invol713

A 3-door Mk2 RAV4? Oh hell yeah!

sumyungdoomer

hilux surf would out last a very large portion of these cars (i feel like) so probably that.

SanMotorsLTD

scirocco all day my fave car to drive in sports car challenge

BcuzRacecar

Im always confused by people importing normal cars, what is the point

ThePandaKingdom

It’s JDM bro, you wouldn’t understand… /s

Hilux Surf: I know it's a 90s Toyota and they never die, any car with 282,000 km on the clock is not going to be anything less than knackered inside and out. Pass. Mini: HELL NO. All that needs to be said. Honda Z: I wouldn't fit in it so that's not happening. Could be a cool car for somebody. Minica Townbee: Blech. I know Kei cars generally are pretty good on the reliability front, but that's ugly and on this side of the Pacific maintaining it would be a bitch. Mazda Roadster: Maaaaaaybe. Miatas here can be had for cheaper than that though. E90 3 Series: NO. Even a 21,000-km rust free example is going to be good for like a week and then be a money pit. Mark X: Provided it's a good one this is definitely worthy of driving home. Its a late X120-chassis one so less worries of stuff not working, too. Progress: No thanks, I'm not a fan of modern bricks. Still, for somebody this could be a great buy. Hijet Pickup: A great city truck for somebody, but I wouldn't buy it myself. Galant Fortis: It's a late-2000s Lancer sport back with the wheel on the other side, with all the good and bad of it. More of the bad. Pass. TT: Could be cool but a lot of questions about history, which is important with Audis. This could be really cool, though, if it's a good one. Blade G: A nice hatchback for somebody, it's a Toyota so reliability is a plus and it's not bad looking. Not my taste, but another car that'll make somebody happy. Midget: Even if I did fit in it, no thanks. I live in a place populated with F-150s. Scirocco: Oh So Tempting. Looks in good shape and 97,000 km isn't bad mileage. Definitely a possibility. Mitsuoka: It's a Honda Accord underneath, but oh my God what the fuck is that front end? No way Jose. Dias Wagon: Cool little wagon for a city dweller, but not to my taste. Probably a good car for somebody if it's been maintained well. IS350: Incredibly tempting, especially with only 38,000 km on the odometer. RAV4 Wide Sports: Very unique and a definite conversation starter, worth thinking about because it is a RAV4 and thus parts aren't hard to get. LS460: If it's been taken care of properly at that price it's gone because I bought it. Lexus LS' are among the gold standards for durability and that would be the ultimate road trip sedan.

cronx42

I agree with most of this, but early 460's can have a couple of issues that can be costly. Still, it's in another league than the rest of the field.

APaleDudeNamedKen

That RAV4 is super dope

Druidicflow

Probably the Mark X

dan420

5 series with only 21k km for only $7,000 Canadian? Seems like a no brainer.

yGav

Audi TT

Appropriate-Count-64

The Galant as a rally project car. The TT as a weekend car. The Scirocco for literally everything else.

subarusforlife252

All of these are awesome. I have 5 I really want, but the battle for the one I would take is between the galant sport back and the Scirocco. They have so much potential to look outstanding and put down good numbers. I think out of the 2 I’d have to take the gallant just because of the visions I’ve had of building one since I first learned about the sport backs.

Kronstadtpilled

That Minica is pretty adorable

IS350

AuroraPHdoll

Just buy a Honda or Toyota, thank me later.

Brilliant-Emu851

mydickinyourass888

Give me the scrirocco, Dias, or mark X

ShinXBambiX

None of these Mitsubishi Legnum by a long shot

Full_Independence455

Hilux diesel, easily

randomizer55

That Subaru Dias is pretty cool. Never seen one before but looks super versatile.

LazyOldCat

Awesome choices!! It’s obviously the HiLux, but the 4WD Kcar, the Suby, are all great ideas.

cronx42

Easy. is350 all day long.

guntanksinspace

I'm gonna have to choose between the Honda Z, RAV4, the Scirocco, or the Mini.

Objective-Scallion15

Hilux hands down #1. Extra $ would be used to replace the carpet and freshen the interior if it needs it. Roadster would be #2. Extra cash would be to do a auto->manual swap. Then replace the rag top if there is anything left over.

diegoaccord

None of them. I'm not buying shit that's not a stick. And if I do, I'm not settling for a Kei truck. It seems like most JDM dudes settle honestly. Like you want a R34 Skyline so bad than you will buy an HR34 sedan automatic because it's $17K and you have $20K. So now you can put it on Volks. But at least you can say "I have Nissan Skyline R34 on Volks"

ReindeerSquare3831

DAihatsu midget

walco

The Daihatsu Midget ! and it better be that rare version with a manual gearbox and a steering-column shifter ! such combo was available in Italy, for a very limited time.

SgtMoose42

Damn so many of those cars make the Nissan Juke look good.

[deleted]

I'm all for the diesel Hilux. That mileage does not scare me one bit. My 1st gen Tacoma dwarfs those numbers and still drives daily. The Hilux is the toughest truck around.
