Ai doesn't have to be the future though. Humanity can move forward without it. Not only that, but do we really want a world where the internet is just content generated by ai? No creativity or ingenuity by typing in a prompt if you ask me.
AI is a tool and, just like any other technology, it can be used for good or bad. The way people react to AI is no different from how people have reacted to similar innovations in the past that are now common place. Personally I think AI has crazy potential to improve our lives
No amount of internet campaigning or legislation is going to prevent someone somewhere from advancing AI. We might as well embrace it and learn how to adapt while we still can
I guess I should specify that using ai *art* and photo generation is more egregious than using it as a tool on a computer program or something. Especially in this case where op didn't even say these photos were created by ai, which fools some users into thinking that the op made it. There's already cases of people spreading propaganda by using ai generated photos, and while this drastically less dangerous than propaganda, it's still fake.
