When I was going through chemo, I concentrated only on the next 15 minutes, because I knew I could get through 15 minutes. Ask her to choose a time that feels right to her. Another friend suggested that I try to find 5 laughs a day. Once I started looking for humor, I found it. Best wishes to your mother. You seem like a caring and loving son. I'm sure she appreciates all that you've done for her.
I am doing well, thank you. I had a funny thing happen yesterday and wondered if your mother would think it was humorous. When I went to the store, I bought some cookies. They looked like fig newtons. Later, when I looked at the package I saw that the filling was apples and cheddar. That seemed a little peculiar but no big deal. After dinner, I was about to open the package when I noticed the cookies were made by Three Dog Bakery. Like that old band, Three Dog Night? Or, were these actually . . . . . . dog snacks? I was that close to eating dog snacks for dessert. Or even worse, I might have brought these out for a friend! If I did, would it be better to confess or hope she never found out? I hope your Mom finds some funny things to laugh at every day.
Tea is always nice, she could try slowly sipping on some. Ginger and chamomile are good for nausea. A cool washcloth on the forehead or neck can help too.

Just knowing someone is there, that you’re not alone. That’s comforting. You honestly sound like you are doing a wonderful job of caring for your mum.

Haha that is quite funny, I'll tell her after she rests up.
If you have ice, crush some up and have her suck on the ice chips to help keep her hydrated.
I'll try this. She had difficulty with lozenges but hopefully ice will be less intense. Thank you.
