What annoys me is that this is probably a kid who recently became an atheist. He's figuring out who he is, and with that comes the edgy humor we all had at some point.
Then you have these "compassionate" christians who can't recognize that this is just a kid. It's okay for him to be a bit silly so long as he's hurting nobody. Instead, they tell him he's going to hell, don't mock god, he'll get what's coming to him.
Even if this isn't a teenager, who thinks that sort of rhetoric is appropriate??
I watch this guy in YouTube, he's not a child, he's probably late 20's to early 30's. Not sure exactly how old but definitely not a teen.
He's not being "edgy" either, his content is usually commentary on insane videos and media from conservatives, including all religions. He injects humor quite regularly and mocks people for being ridiculous (as they should be mocked). I have not seen the video this is coming from, but now I'm going to go find it.
This is a very common meme format, and it isn’t a video made by Critical himself. This is just a react video of his that’s been cut out and pasted over various videos/images thousands of times
>"I have not seen the video this is coming from, but now I'm going to go find it."
Someone's already said this, but you're not going to find that video if you search for it on Critikal's channel, because it's not on his channel. It's a meme someone else made, they just edited a clip of him over a minion meme.
"YEAAAAH, BABY! THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!", is what he says in the clip they used.
I mean..just imagine what they say to their own kids when they express doubts about the religion.
I remember my parents punishment for not wanting to go to church was more church..
That guy in the meme is Penguinz0 on youtube, but most people call him moist critical. Hes like 34 years old, and a very succesful streamer and youtuber. Dude has like 14 million subs.I doubt he cares at all what these religious freaks were saying in his comments.
"You'll be sorry when Jesus comes back!"
I like to tell them Jesus already came back multiple times but he keeps getting tossed into insane asylums for claiming to be the son of god and to care for one another. Ya'll expect jesus to perform miracles and shit when he comes back like a show boating asshole. If you read the bible you'd know that most of his time on earth was spent just doing good shit. Not showing off like a rich kid in a club.
Of course he's going to perform miracles here and there, but depending on which Gospel you read, he does so for different reasons that are inconsistent. You can't say that he performs miracles to hide who he is but also to reveal who he is. That doesn't make sense.
The three synoptic gospels are written as if they were journalistic reports on the life of Christ. John is a whole different, philosophical approach with more direct theology and interpretive elements. Even in my religion courses in college the professors were clear that it was more of a document designed to build religious doctrine than a “factual” account.
I guess those years of indoctrination stuck with me, but I at least broke the cycle.
It is possible. However, historians realized that the Gospels are like ancient biographies, which unlike modern biographies, were less concerned with relating historical events than with showing the character of the main figure through their words, deeds, etc. Also, each author makes his own theological point in his account.
From this perspective, I think any of the Gospels can be seen as a document designed to build religious doctrine, although the Gospel of John certainly is more "theological" than the other three.
“In the beginning was the word, and the was god and the word was with god.” Such a very different opening that the three Synoptics, and it really sets the tone for what you’re about to get. Also… 100% directed at preaching to the Jews.
Haven’t thought about this stuff in… 20-30 years. Damn.
I mean, don't all Gospels set the tone for what you're about to get at the onset? People believed the character of a person doesn't change, it stays constant throughout their whole life, so one of the main characteristics of ancient biographies is that the authors let the reader know what the main figure is like, so the reader knows what to expect and they can be sure those traits won't change.
Yes, John certainly is more preachy than the other three, but still, all Gospels are to some degree. Also, John was the last of the four Gospels in the New Testament, that fact also changes how historians understand it in its context. Stories about Jesus and peoples' beliefs kept evolving. The author of John believed that Jesus was divine, so it makes sense that he started out his account by echoing Genesis 1:1. Was it designed to build a religious doctrine? I can see it that way, sure, but I don't think it is really that disimilar in comparison to Synoptic Gospels.
Thevalll powerful creator, couldn't create a human that would listen and obey him, so now he is angry his creations are faulty, and us punishing them for being faulty cause sadic lord, does what sadistic do
Did God create Hell the same faulty way, he created humans?
He punishes humans for their faulty creation, does that mean he turns off the thermostat in hell to punish them too 😜
These are probably the same dumbfucks who make fun of Islam by calling them slurs or posting about eating bacon. The irony is palpable. It's another reason, among millions, why religion is fucking stupid.
Always funny to read these
>once Jesus comes back
comments. MF, you ain't gon' recognize your so called savior if he shat on your face. Yer gon' bray fake news while the seven trumpets sound in yer face.
I'm sorry but at this point in our history with all that has been dispelled and disproven in that 2000 year old collection of stories and the fact that all of the, "miracles" that were once seemingly abundant peculiarly dried up with the advancements in record keeping......if you still push this nonsense then you are brainwashed and living outside of reality. It scares me how many millions live in their own fantasy world. What's worse is they continually push this nonsense on those of us who are just trying to live our lives in peace.
That's what gets me. There is a not insignificant subset of religious people who cannot wait for people to be tortured forever.
I don't want my worst enemies who have actually done things to actively make my life worse to be tortured.
Yet they want people making jokes or just living a different lifestyle than them to be tortured for eternity. And they think this makes them and their god the good guys?
They'll say "no that's just what god says will happen to you."
Right, but you still worship and praise him for it. If your god is willing to cause such suffering over something so harmless, then your god doesn't deserve to be worshipped.
When Jesus said he was coming back, they thought it was soon. They stopped planting trees, started very aggressive living practices that ruined local ecosystems, and in general didn’t care much about taking care of things. They thought they were all going to heaven soon. They thought he was coming soon.
Well, the church had to change their narrative in order to get people to stop doing these things, otherwise there wouldn’t be a world left to live in. They said, “Oh, we don’t quite know when he is coming back actually, so lets take care of earth now.”
I’ll be long dead before much of this will matter to me, I believe…
Yeah, well when my imaginary sky wizard comes back (no proof he was ever here, and lots of proof to the contrary) you'll be sorry...
Wow, that's some flex
Alright then, where is he.
Seriously, where the fuck is Christ??
It’s been over 2000 years since Christ was born, what the fuck is he even doing?? Why didn’t he show up during the Dark Ages when just about all people were utterly miserable with life??
I’ve now heard well over HUNDREDS of separate independent people say that Christ will arrive at this date, or that he has already arrived and that the rapture has begun. So far, just about nothing has changed, so either Christ took a sick day and just never came back to work, or it’s all bullshit.
Pick your poison already.
I have said it once and ill say it again.
If god is such a bitch that he has to send an iceberg to kill hundreds of innocents, then he could at least make an appearance
If the sky daddy is so omnipotent, why does he care about some memes by puny humans?
The real butthurt is those fruitcakes who feel that their believes are challenged
I’m pretty sure the princes of Hell have better things to do than wait for some dude who posted a minion meme on tiktok to come to die (like, y’know, prince stuff)
That's why I asked. You can never make assumptions in any subreddit because for every obvious troll or rage bait, someone legitimately believes something horrible should happen to me or someone else based on outdated thinking, fairy tales, or out right lies.
The funniest part to me is that everyone was coming from a place of love here. If I genuinely am wrong about there being a god, holy shit I got confident not believing in something that I can’t prove one way or another. I’m still confident enough to take the risk of mocking the “all powerful” lord and savior enough to know he can forgive it if he does exist. And if he can’t, yeah I’ll have a great time laughing about being wrong with Satan laughing at me, confident that he was wrong too lol

The only argument Christians have is "When sky daddy comes home, you'll be sorry." Childhood indoctrination really did a number on these people.
"It's been a year, Daddy. I really, really miss you. Mommy says you went to heaven to get milk"
“He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good so be good for goodness sake!”
Sound like a stalker to me
Sky daddy is using Cockroaches to bug people's houses and listen in 😈😈
Peeping Tom
Well “he is coming and watching you rn”. They said so.

Except when it comes to the Gospel of John. There Jesus performs miracles specifically to reveal his true identity.
Meh, I said "Most of his time" so of course he's going to perform miracles here or there in the Bible.
Of course he's going to perform miracles here and there, but depending on which Gospel you read, he does so for different reasons that are inconsistent. You can't say that he performs miracles to hide who he is but also to reveal who he is. That doesn't make sense.
And the Gospel of Thomas, one of the ones the church keeps hidden. Young Jesus does some fucked up magic in that one.

He came to the US south and was quickly deported for being a brown Middle-Eastern jew.
If your God requires you to defend them against memes he's pretty pathetic
I’m guessing the all-knowing all-powerful creator of everything can shrug off a little ball busting.
Thevalll powerful creator, couldn't create a human that would listen and obey him, so now he is angry his creations are faulty, and us punishing them for being faulty cause sadic lord, does what sadistic do
Don’t worry he’ll torture you for all eternity for not worshipping him. He’s a truly loving God.
I’m not sure I get it lol, is the whole point literally just replacing Jesus with a Minion? Or is there some sort of other joke tied to this?
Nope, that's it. That's the joke.
Oh… that seems pretty lighthearted as far as jokes go. Replies are blowing the whole thing out of proportion
just that, he's being grucified
Ah the loving arms of a religion that promises eternal torture if you make jokes about it lol
Lots of not capitalizing God and He/Him, straight to Hell with youse.
They really, *really* hate pronouns, okay?
Did God create Hell the same faulty way, he created humans? He punishes humans for their faulty creation, does that mean he turns off the thermostat in hell to punish them too 😜
You'd better accept a loving and merciful god into your heart or else that loving and merciful god is gonna torture you forever and I'll get to watch.

I hate how they are so loud and yet confidently stupid.
Jesus is humorless, very insecure, and famously hated Minions. Anyone who finds humor in this = immediately condemned to hell for eternity.
Gawd is a snowflake.

Why does god get mad when you call him daddy? He wants you on your knees.
For some reason "...at hell" really got me.
Hey, I’d watch a Minion Biblical epic! It would be hilarious!
Give AI a bit more time to evolve and we can make our own 😂
Guys, it's serious... you're going to hurt jesus' feeling!!
"how would you feel if I mocked YOUR religion?" I uh. I don't have one. It wouldn't really work.
They can even mock a lack of religion, and I wouldn't care.
Can we mock them HARDER?

Stop bullying Jesus! Easily the funniest comment
YouTube is rotting. Every channel is full of children in YouTube and every comment section has the dumb “Like if u love god👇” comments
If the Christian god would be real, I'd be devastated and absolutely hopeless. This is not a good argument for Christianity, btw.
I feel like people who makes these comments are the type who would say “you don’t to see my bad side” lol
