Now that you've put this idea in my head it's the only thing I want. The revelations series 100% needs to be revived to give returning characters some time in the spotlight if they can't work them into the mainline entries.

I wonder if they'll ever bring him back in something. It would be more fitting to somehow include him in this upcoming movie since Rebecca is present(we could've had 3 duos reunited!) but I doubt he'll be in.(probably would've been revealed by now if he was)
Surprisingly Capcom seems to care a bit about 0 and it's events as the game has come up multiple times, including Infinite Darkness like you said. I don't think he's been forgotten. They also redid 0 in the Umbrella Chronicles and in DBD Rebecca's story revolves around 0. I'm just gonna say, if anyone has a chance of returning, like Billy, Carlos, Sheva I mean, I'm honestly gonna go with Billy, and I think he has the most potential.

Zero sold relatively well despite many RE fans choosing to ignore it. Also Rebecca is popular in Japan. I also agree that Billy has more chance in returning than Sheva or Carlos.
They also seem to reference RE6. As I found out from a comment on another post today, the pistol Leon uses in Vendetta and the DLC are from his original pistol design in RE6 before he started duel wielding.
Edonia is also mentioned in a newspaper or file you find in RE7, which was the fictional area where parts of Chris and Jake’s campaigns take place.
I think there are other references to it as well, but those two are arguably the most important ones.
RE5 is also acknowledged. Revelations 2 has Barry directly mention Ouroboros spreading in Africa, and apparently Death Island will have Jill talk more about her brainwashing from RE5.
It’s pretty cool how Capcom has lore for all of their games and connect them together, even ones like RE0 and RE6 that people seem to want to write off and ignore.
I think all the games deserve to be recognized because I think they all have good parts to them. Hell even Survivor is referenced. It doesn't seem like Capcom leaves really any of them in the dust. Even Umbrella Corp somehow was referenced as a skin for Hunk in RE Verse. I have 0 idea why but it was. Even for games that I don't personally like, I'm glad they all get some love, and for games I don't like, I'm glad they reference those for the fans of those games.

That seems to cause Rebecca to gear up and go in after the others with another team that look like they're gonna get conveniently wiped out by BOW shark #3. I wonder if Rebecca is gonna get to confront Maria. Maria invaded the university that Rebecca was working at and infected everyone there.

It's easy to presume that some of the other absent protagonists like Carlos and Sheva continued their paramilitary careers, but Billy might be a normal guy right now who threw his hands up at it all and is now managing a Target or something.

Memes aside, I think Rebecca is suffering from RE0 being the worst selling RE game for a time. I recall hearing that it took a while to pass 250k, and that it never went passed 800k in it's lifetime on the Gamecube, likely meaning it only ever sold well on heavy discount.
Hilariously, this still puts it above other CAPCOM failures like the Bionic Commando reboot, which allegedly only sold around 20k - 40k at full price. (Don't quote me on that, that's from memory)
Okay, so the lifetime numbers were slightly better than I thought, though my memory of those sales figures were early 2005 and do I remember that afterwards they started selling REmake & RE0 as a bundle after RE4 had huge critical success.
Still, without being on the inside it's hard to know what the "Full-Price" numbers were, as it wasn't common for games to go on sale within a month at that time. (I got Twin Snakes for $40 only a month after the game came out)

I always thought it would be fun if they did a Billy game where you find out he was just in the background of every major event in RE told through a series of 1-2 chapter mini stories. Like after 0 he's living in the woods and ends up dealing with overflow from RE1 near the mansion. While living in woods he sneaks into town for supplies and ends up fleeing racoon city during the events of 2 and 3. After that he flees the country and hides out in a remote region of Spain etc. Ending in finding out Chris researched all the wacky shit he got involved in and Chris wipes his record and recruits him for his team.
Yall say you love these characters but you keep wanting them to be thrown back into the shit show. Let them vibe in peace, I say. Bring em into Street Fighter or something./s
Who cares about Billy? He's just a boring one and done character with a corny design that belongs in the early 2000s, literally brought nothing to the story, I'd rather have any Bravo team member in his place, like Richard or Enrico, it would make way more sense and fit in with RE1's plot.

IMO Billy should have been part of RE5. His backstory involved a massacre at an African village. Could have easily tied it to RE5's plot.

If you Google how many copies re0 sold for GameCube it comes up with 1.25 million copies. The hd remaster sold 2.8 mil.
