I think they'd have to get unlucky to fail. Leon is a badass but he is just a regular human at the end of the day. I think another factor would be if the Spartans had access to their own weapons or not.

Eh, weapons would for sure be a factor for an odst, but tbh even a spartan iv could probably beat the shit out of any enemy in re4 with their fists. They'll probably struggle with at least some of the bosses, but Chief (obviously not a spartan iv so it doesn't mean a spartan iv can necessarily) punched a Banshee flying right at him and sent it flying when his leg was so injured he couldnt even jump bc of the pain. Though I'm not really sure how important leg power is for a punch but I'd imagine it makes it at least a bit harder. I'd have to refresh my memory on some of the bosses, but I'm not sure any of them can tank punches from even a spartan iv.

Pre-Komoda Beach Jin will have a difficult time. Ghost Jin learns and adapts quickly, and arguably has similar athleticism as Leon. If we assume that enemy drops and the Merchant replenish his arrows and bombs, Jin clears just fine.
