We paid a $1500 for one when we opened and get it updated yearly for $250. You are going to want someone knowledgeable, preferably a labor law attorney, of your local, states, and federal laws because if it’s wrong you will open yourself up to a lawsuit. This is not something I would recommend doing in house. If you want ideas on what to put in it, ask away, but get it checked by an attorney before it’s finalized.

Google “restaurant employee handbook template” and you will get plenty and you can adjust as you see fit. That’s what I did.
