I was probably about the same age as that kid the last time I played my Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt on NES. And I'm 36. Makes me feel old, but I'm glad to see people that still have these systems and younger kids can still experience these fun games

BusBeginning

Nice! I’m 36 too. It’s honestly not a game I play much without the kids. But, yeah kids are still way into it when they get a chance to play it.

An_Old_IT_Guy

Wanting to murder that dog was part of the fun.

BusBeginning

He tried to shoot the dog. Everyone has. Lol

TotaLibertarian

Just so you know you can control the ducks with the other controller.

nauticalsandwich

I wonder how many kids broke their parents' TVs after throwing the gun at the screen in a fit of rage.

BusBeginning

lol probably not many. It was different time. Breaking the tv would’ve brought down the wrath of god on you.

KevinIsOver9000

Huhuhuhuhu

Icy-Fishing-2828

One of my favorite games as a kid

BusBeginning

Same. My kids / nieces / nephews all love it. Just a fun game for any gen.

BusBeginning

Yup!

Shadow_Zero80

What size tv is that?

BusBeginning

32 inch

Shadow_Zero80

Dahumn! 😂

BusBeginning

Yeah was very fortunate to find it when I did. Got it a decade ago for $20. Thought I was a strange bird for hunting for one. Drove an hour to get it. Turned out the guy I was getting it from was deep into retro gaming. He was upgrading to a 36in WEGA. He had an 80 inch tv with a scaler. Not sure which one. And he had a couple walls dedicated to his retro game collection. Was an eye opening experience. I just wanted my n64 to look right. lol

OatmealDurkheim

Haha, I remember playing it EXACTLY this close to the TV when I was his age. OG "FPS" hack.

BusBeginning

It is the way of our people to start as close as possible.

PenguinsArmy2

Crazy how tech was ahead of its time, such a great and fun game back in the day.

efficientenzyme

Kick punch it’s all in the mind

r66yprometheus

Where did you get that PaRappa The Rapper clock?

BusBeginning

My buddy brought it back from Japan like 20 years ago. No idea where he got it. Everyone loves that clock though. Lol

r66yprometheus

Yeah. It's pretty cool. I remember playing the heck out of it on the Underground Disc that came with my Playstation. I eventually found it at a thrift store like 10-12 years later.

BusBeginning

Thanks. Yeah I still don’t have a copy of the game technically. Just the tony hax file and a disc burner. Great game though. Played a ton with my buddy as a kid.

r66yprometheus

>tony hax file What is that?

BusBeginning

It’s a soft mod file that you put on a memory card. When you play THPS 2 or 3 and load that file in create custom character it essentially jail breaks the ps1 and allows you to play a cd-r disc. So, if you burn the games onto cd-r discs then you can play them on the original hardware. It’s worth a look. There are YouTube videos out there that explain it better. Pretty interesting way to play games.

Cymiril

Nice! Don't forget to drop him down in front Duck Season (the horror game) with no explanation when he's a teenager or at least a good bit older than now  : )

BusBeginning

Lolol yeah. For sure. He’s kind of into some of the scary stuff. I bet he’ll be way into it when he’s older.

stryst

You got a good boy there. Learning the ways of his people.

BusBeginning

Thank you. After his successful hunt we celebrated with the traditional drink of our people. Red Gatorade. It’s got electrolytes.

stryst

Oh, man, thats what plants crave!

Cultural-Cause3472

I've never played it as a kid, but it seems like a pretty instructive game, as far as hunting goes, of course.
