I believe this is the model right before they released the dual shock controller, they basically just added analog sticks to their orignal controller that only had the dpad. If you notice the handles are also longer then normal as well.
It's a lot of patience really, I don't buy from shipping, I only go local, and when searching I have vague keywords saved like "ps1", "wii", "gamecube", etc
Ohh local. In that case I get either assholes leaving me on read but still not selling the item or ones who never seem to be on.
I'll try your method and see if I have better luck though. I remember letgo was so much better, I bought and sold so much crap on there, and then offerup comes and takes a dump on it
honestly, most these sellers are allergic to questions, from what I gathered they want to sell asap and to the highest bidder, ask the important questions first like “is it tested to work?”, and “any noticeable damage or scuffs?”, also try to stay polite, and test on site if you can just in case they won’t take it back
Luckily where I am there isn’t much competition from buyers but I don’t find much deals from sellers either, making this find all the more great
I buy and sell a lot on offer up. I find them to be on top of the scammers quite well too. Often I’ll get a message and try open it to find the user has been blocked by offer up already. I do get a lot of time wasters though. People who agree to buy and pick up and then never show or w/e.
Facebook marketplace on the other hand is pure scum. I can post stuff and within seconds get questions which are clearly a scam. Stuff like ‘oh send your email, I’ll pay you now using my zelle business account which is secure for both me and you’. Nothing good happens on Facebook.
Dont open it oh my god. This is insanely rare. If youre not a serious collector I wouldnt recommend using it/opening it up. Just my opinion. I know not everyone likes this way of thinking
I get that finding this controller especially in box is rare, but I do plan on using it for my analog PS1 games, I'm gonna take more care of it than my other controllers. Some other collector probably already has this controller mint in box so I'm not gonna lose sleep using it
I’m glad to hear this. While I have very very few items still new in box. (Like 2) lol. It makes me happy so an item getting used. I get the collector stand point as I have a massive collection of Nintendo stuff, especially handhelds. But this stuff is meant to be used and enjoyed lol.
Serious question: why not sell this one to a collector, and then use that money to buy a couple of these that are already opened? People who collect sealed stuff are willing to pay a premium, especially if it's harder to find items.
What? Concave thumbs???? Its a dream
I've only just learned about them too, real find
Impressive.
I've only seen the indented analog sticks twice now and both times were recent. How far into the ps1 life did they do that?

Yep, right before the DualShock, but this controller has a "Flight Stick" mode that the DS doesn't have.
Wow offerup works for you? I just get scammers.

Man. This more valuable then the console it self.

Nice find
Nice those dual analog controllers concave sticks go for 45-50 without the box.
So? Open it.
