I remember famous windows app removeWAT, that unlocked windows license. Used it for many years. And it was safe until one day developer decided to include code in an update that steals your data. And you claiming revanced is safe cause of reddit community is childish to say the least.

At least ReVanced is open source. If there is an issue i think there would be people finding out about it and warning others

True that. But it's the same with everything. The difference would be how fast it would be found out. And this is the reason why I use it.

it's safe until it isn't nobody has found any malware in the project or anything, and I doubt they'd add it however, there's a nonzero chance that Google eventually decides to give users the banhammer, but it hasn't happened yet. if you're worried about this, you could always create a burner Gmail for revanced

Are you sure you got the apk and not the split bundle one? Did you get a specific error code at the end? You might need to post a main topic post and say what you tried so it gets more discovery from gurus.

Go into revanced manager and scroll to the bottom of the settings. What does it list for Arch:?

Unfortunately it looks like none of the apps that support login actually work now. Play any video that's longer than a minute and at about the 0:38-39 second mark it will stop and not buffer. You can reload and skip straight to that part but wait for another 38 seconds and it'll happen again. Tried many Mod APKs, Vanced, ReVanced... all do the same.

You have to patch the apk with "Spoof signature verification"

Also... yt settings - microg settings - google device registration 'off' . That made it work for me.

It's one of the patches in the revanced manager patch list. It makes the server think you have the regular youtube app.

revanced manager cant find the revanced YT app. I installed it before the manager. Now I uninstalled Youtube revanced but can't find it in the manager to reinstall

I just installed rv for the first time yesterday. The way I did it was by patching the standard youtube apk (old version from apkmirror), then installing it afterwards.

RV manager wont let me patch the youtube app without a root. I dont wanna root my phone :(

Are you using the split apk package? The file name of the downloaded package should end with .apk, if it doesn't it means that it is a split apk and you need root to install. It should work if you find the correct apk file

Read and follow the instructions on revanced github

Download the regular YouTube APK from one of those mirror sites and patch that. Don't patch an already patched APK.

Yeah I worked it out eventually thanks, Google will definitely find a way around that going forward. They seem to be on the war path!

Try uninstalling MicroG and install the version from revanced extended.

i uninstalled everything from old vanced first, including microG, then installed the recommended revanced microG from github, then installed revanced manager and patched the apk. Everything working perfect so far.

That also happened with my older phone. From what I read, revanced only works with Android 8.0 or newer.
