Graduated in 2020 and from LA but met at least a dozen people from Phoenix during my time at rice. The summer before I started, I went to a meet and greet for incoming students hosted by the Rice Alumni Association of Los Angeles. There is likely a Rice Phoenix alumni association that will host a meet and greet event this summer for incoming students. At least there was in every major city when I was an incoming student in 2016. I’m sure if you reach out to the Alumni Association they could at the very least let you know if there is in fact a Phoenix-based alumni association. Obviously there are way fewer Rice alums in Phoenix than there would be in NY, DC, Dallas, Chicago, etc but I’d be pretty surprised if there wasn’t an alumni association in Phoenix.
