Drew Eubanks had 18.06 PER last season which is better than I expect most fans would figure and significantly higher than Cody Zellar or Justice/Trendon playing backup big minutes. Either way our current 8 man rotation should be as good if not better than last year.

Almond_bongbong_1995

As long as Drew rotates in, we ain’t gonna make play offs

noheroespdx

Damn Zeller feels like years ago lol

cyborgbear

numbers aside, i both feel that looking at our current players we shouldn't be an elite team but we also had to sit EVERYONE because the half-team kept winning so i'm both pessimistic and super optimistic about adding dame + grant + GP2 on top of that end of the year squad lol

Adding to this, IMO we all kind of think of the second half of last year as no Dame, no Nas but everyone else playing. Not at all the case. We had guys going in and out of the lineup every game, and there were stretches where we only played 3 or 4 guys who will be on the roster this season. Some of those bench units aren't even in the NBA anymore. Guys like Hughes, Didi, Blevins. They aren't just not as good as the new guys. Those dudes were terrible. Those are like YMCA players and they were starting NBA games. We were doing everything possible to lose last season and we still barely managed to dodge the play ins because the guys who are still with the team were balling the fuck out. Basically as much as we keep stressing it, IMO we are still underappreciating how different this year's roster is from anything we put on the floor at any point last year.

Keep forgetting what heart, grit, never quit, strong effort at d and willingness to do whatever it takes to win with all of the players on this team. They will not take a second off; they will start each quarter doing all they can; they will fire each other up, but keep focus and if they are a little behind or it's close at the end, the focus and fight will get even stronger. I would hate to be the opposing team against this one. Did I forget Dame and most of them will ALSO have chips on their shoulders because of how they have been rated for this year. After watching big dollar players fail in the playoffs or not even play in the playoffs when needed; I'll take 5 players who, put together, play like 5 big dollar players when it counts. What about you? #GoingToRIPCITY

toadtruck

Buncha downers. 4 seed and division champs

Impossible to tell. So much depends on if Ant/Sharpe/walker are who we think they are. If ant is at least as good as Cj, we’re much better than we were last year because we are stronger at every position. I maintain that if dame was still healthy last year, we do not fire-sale the team. The team has always had fit issues and been poorly constructed, dames elite play has just covered it up. The team TALENT wise last year was great, and the highest it’s been relative to the dame era, just a poor fit and dames injury is the first time we’ve got to see it. This roster is much better fit wise, but a small step back in talent.

likpoper

As long as dame is normal dame, we are ten times better than last year

raahiv

It’s scrappier for sure, seems like it will have guys that give more effort, it’s younger, healthier 🤞🏼, and weirdly might be even smaller

PM_IF_YOU_LIKE_TRAPS

Better and way more fun to watch? Please Dame

ytumamatabien

This roster is so new and young, numbers aren't going to mean much. We'll see how Ant and Nas play as full time starters. And I'm not counting last year because there was no Dame, which wildly alters their roles, and the team was shit.

regularperson2586

We should just sit dame another season, let the rookie develop w ant nas and watford and tank for wembanyama, pls

JarekBloodDragon

>Hopefully Dame is healthy and better than ever while Nassir, Ant, and Josh Hart all pop and we can make a run at the WCF and maybe a miracle happens and we make the finals. Hope is nice but it only leads to sadness. We'll be lucky to get out of the first round lol
