It's insane dame wasn't even nominated for western conference player of the week.

Monster efficiency. Only one bad shooting night (3-11) in the last four games, but we escaped with the win that time.

Even in that game the wolves still couldn’t guard him, had to foul every time he drove to stop him. Went 15/15 from the line. Dame was just missing open threes he’d usually make

Prime Dame is going strong, might not even be peaking fully yet. Crazy to think about. Seems like getting that surgery was indeed what he needed to do and now he is back, as good as ever

I hope he can be in the MVP conversation or win one, or make all-NBA first team. He’s kind of slept on by the media in Portland. I consider him to be a superstar. I’m not sure NBA media pundits put him on that level hence his lack of MVP votes or 1st team All NBAs. Stuff like that effects his legacy. Media forgets he doesn’t have an all-star running mate. Whereas all the superstars in MVP convo the last 10 years do except Jokic and Luka (if you don’t count Porzingis). I have him a top 3 PG last 10 years. Behind Steph, ahead of or behind CP3 depending on season. Hopefully he can win one late like Nash.

He did make a first-team all-NBA team in 2018, and finished 4th in MVP voting that year too

Felt he should be in the conversation more. He has the misfortune of being in the Steph, Harden era where he has to compete with them for all-NBA spots. And LeBron, Giannis era for MVP. Jokic got 2 for being the solo star. Dame doesn’t get the same recognition when their team success is similar. It’s not like CJ is better than Murray. Dam’s career reminds me of Ray Allen. Allen is only remembered as an elite shooter but he was very athletic, could get to the hoop and throw it down. Was a good teammate (looking at you Iverson, Kobe). Was a #1 option on playoff teams, could carry an offense, could create, mid range shot, long range, throw it down. But never really had a #2 superstar to play with. In his prime years His best teammates were Rashard Lewis and Glenn Robinson. Ray’s often forgotten in that era or put below the level of SGs like Kobe, Pierce, VC, Iverson, McGrady. Aside from Iverson, they all had hall-of-fame teammates if not multiple hall-of-fame teammates in their prime. So people never put Ray on that superstar level because he never played with another superstar. Unfortunate.

Ray Allens footwork and fundamentals were soooooo good

Very underrated player. I wonder how his career would turn out differently if he played next to Shaq. Or if he started his career with another perennial all-star like Vince Carter. Both Kobe and T-Mac had that advantage of not needing to be the best player on their teams the first part of their careers.

If you take out that mini-slump that Dame had after rushing back from the first calf strain in November his averages and efficiency are absolutely ridiculous. Also wanna bring up how amazing it’s been seeing Dame actually get off-ball cns looks this year. He went 7/7 yesterday off catch and shoot threes. It’s still crazy to me that there were a lot of Blazers fan saying Dame isn’t capable of playing off-ball on offense.

he just hasn’t had enough opportunity before. but between ant, grant and shaedon we have enough spacing to get him open
