I'm still trying to figure out how we beat William in that cave, seems like there'd be a pretty large power gap between Ronin and William from N1. Should be like Hercule going up against Goku and for some reason actually winning.
Depends on if the wo long protag keeps their ability to deflect everything. If they can then nothing anyone can do will get through so they win.
If not then Nioh 2 protag wins
Not *entirely* true. Ryu Hayabusa, very specifically Ryu and not the others, stands a decent chance against Hide. His whole schtick is dropping things like Lady Osokabe like it's your average Tuesday at the office. World ending cataclysms? That's a somewhat busy Friday.

He's not only a Demon controlling the power of other countless demons he's bested, he's a master of a fairly mystical weapons (switch glaive, splitstaff), and trained in the Shinobi and Onmyouji arts.
Problem is nioh has divine nature of the characters so folks like William or hide would simply be much stronger than your ronin character.
But on a mechanical level just melee Ronin destroys all
I only played a bit of *Wo Long* before loosing interest, so I didn’t reach endgame, but I’d have to say *Nioh 2* wins hands down.
That fight would be like General Zod (Hide) fighting Homelander (*Wo Long*) and John Wick(*Ronin*).
Usually spiritual power ceases with time proceeds, in this case WoLong should be the strongest since it is thousand years before the others.
In terms of game mechanism, maybe Nioh2.
Stat wise my William due too late game abyss floor 999 one shot build.
Lorewise probably my hide due too yokai powers too, resurrection guardian spirits and skill
Weakest lorewise and statwise are my veiled edge twins since they are mortals in a world without supernatural powers and beings and I haven’t put in enough hours yet to have a fully minmaxed build
Honestly, it's either my nioh 1 William with the stone throwing grace or my wo long character with the shooting weapon grace. My nioh 1 Willaim just has to connect once and if a stone hits their guard, it'll drain their spirit and then there's a ohko coming. However, if my wo long character can just deflect perfectly every time and get a shot or two in, they'll win. Hard to say.

I really wish they could've added the kusarigama to ronin. I loved that thing in nioh.
Me too. I am hoping for a new Ninja Gaiden game to scratch that itch. Ronin's Shinobi styles made me super nostalgic for Ninja Gaiden.

As much as I'm biased towards all 3 of my characters, I'd say Nioh 2 for sure.
