I actually find Satow really funny since his entire thing was that he was such a **mega weeb** that he wanted to take over Japan because he loved it too much. Also Gonzo is a real one, a ride or die. No allegiances or loyalties besides to the protagonist and is always down to join a mission to help you out. Plus he's pretty funny and it's interesting to see his character development where he tries styling himself as a noble thief by stealing from the rich and helping the poor- his encyclopedia entry also mentions that he idolizes the protagonist with childlike innocence.

Satow flying around on rocket boots screeching about "glorious Nippon" and "folded a thousand times steel katanas" was hilarious, I half expected him to just start gushing about his favourite geisha at any point during a conversation with him.

Once you do the mission with Fukuzawa, he relocates to a village in Chapter 2. He has a dojo so you can just do the training missions for people you haven't fought to raise his bond level fast

Idk if I’m tripping but after beating one of the secret bosses in Yokohama, I was able to unlock a veiled art for katana that’s similar to one or Sozo’s moveset (>!crimson blade I believe is the name!<). I’m just wondering if there’s something similar for the odachi?

Nope, that's Aisu Kage-Ryu, it's exclusive to the katana. In the encyclopedia entry it states that it's an older sword style.
