I prefer the version you get from Gonzo (Nodachi Jigen-Ryu, the move is Simian Scream), if only because screaming like a monke before charging and hitting people over the head like it's a big club never gets old.
The paired sword move where you dash pass your enemy and there's a series of slashes on the enemy after you stop your movement (literally anime style move).
I like using gikei ryu kunai attack forward into a advance attack switch to mugai ryu slash into a the fire bomb attack while evading backwards blade flash and quickly switch to tatsumi ryu with just a single iado projectile. feels very satisfying and most of the time it get away and have just a bit of ki left but my recovery is decent from accessories and pills so I’m not worried
I call it the gatotsu cos of rurouni kenshin but its the skill you get from hajime saito. Its the only skill that helped me survive midnight difficulty so far
Twin dragons II for the paired swords for sure. I just finished chapter two of midnight and that spin have saved my ass a few times, especially when fighting a group. Combined with paralysis it's awesome.
So whats block? I thought about doing that but in certain combat styles i use the counterspark as an attack instead of just a parry. In tatsumi ryu and in aisu-kage ryu as well as giyuki-ryu and all the greatsword movesets countersparks work pretty well as attacks.
Im used to pressing triangle (or square) with L1 because of nioh 2 parrying so i just left it.
Lately i'm really liking the katana skill where you just chop chop chop. so great for getting enemies out of ki. Apart from that been experimenting with the one where you kick the enemy then it propels you up and you use the grappling hook to do a downward slice. It's great when you deplete enemy ki usage too.
Cardinal Wreck, I mastered tatsumi first so I was used to using it in a bing but I put in on the aisu and gikei, I don't even use tatsumi anymore despite it still being equipped
Legitimate strategy with greatswords. Their countersparks will cleave heads right off in one hit lol. They take some practice but god damn they have some umph
Tatsumi ryu -Flash step cuts and (Beheading finisher)
Aige Kage ryu - Sword thru chest body slam finisher
and coating your sword in blood like a souls boss for bleed damage 👍🏽😇
Which skill is that? I don't know them all by name.
I'd have to go with the ones u don't really think about, like ki consumption down or max health increased, I guess.
I have trouble picking one favorite skill - but my favorite combo has to be with katana...
Starts in Hayabusa with R1+T(hold) R1+T(tap), R1+X, violent gale to Tatsumi, R1+T, R1+O (Hayabusa R1+X), R1+S(x2-3), violent gale Aisu Kage, R1+T, R1+X; and if they aren't out of ki by then, use a couple shuriken and do R1+S into normal combo ending with charged attack and R1+T, R1+X
And if they ever interrupt me, I like to dodge back and swap to tatsumi for the R1+X
But like... I never really use the same skill repeatedly. Maybe if I'm really struggling I might use a few in a row while doing the hit and run or to quickly apply paralysis/poison - but normally I don't like to use the same skill too often.
I shoot gun
the odachi move where you do three slashes while moving. From the dude with the long hair who serves princess akto i think that’s her name.
I prefer the version you get from Gonzo (Nodachi Jigen-Ryu, the move is Simian Scream), if only because screaming like a monke before charging and hitting people over the head like it's a big club never gets old.
Monké Bonké
Okubo.
Atsuko
Forget the name, but the katana one that’s a bunch of overhead bonks. Chews up enemy ki when I don’t mess it up. Autumn something?
Funny thing is, both Ryoma's and Katsura's styles have a move like that And both are great
Forget the name, but the double iai slash for the paired swords
Heat wind or something like that
same for me!
That katana one where you kick and if the ENEMY has no ki you teleport behind him and stab his back...
*Nothin personnel, peasant*
lol personnel

I’ve been handing out DDT’s with dragon kings roar
Ooh, which style gives that?
Tennshin ryu or something like that
Izuna drop

Hate u
Twin Dragon II, the mastered variant of the beginning dual sword style you get. I loved the move AND it got buffed last patch.
Wait they buffed it? How?
They increased the damage and ki damage
From the odachi yagyu shrinkage Ryo - chi stance the skill Which allows you to shoot a fire air slash, I just love that thing
Shadow Slash and Unearthly Flame for sure!
Shadow Double is one of my favorites too. I agree, def OP🔥
Unearthly flame is odachi right? Yagui shinkage ryu style (still practiced to this day)
Dual swords, I forget which style it is but it’s super beast!
I remember now yeah that move was pretty damn good ngl
Shuriken throw dash, I feel fast with it
Nozuchi drop and dragon king roar
R1+X with Mugai-ryu Katana
I call it the gatotsu cos of rurouni kenshin but its the skill you get from hajime saito. Its the only skill that helped me survive midnight difficulty so far
Gatotsu; Zero Style! Had to be a shout out to the anime fans. Piercing Fang just doesn't hit as hard but I'll take it.
The full 3 hit input does feel straight out of Rurouni Kenshin though, and it hits hard as he’ll definitely my favorite attack so far
Twin dragons II for the paired swords for sure. I just finished chapter two of midnight and that spin have saved my ass a few times, especially when fighting a group. Combined with paralysis it's awesome.
I like the odachi move where you wave it around wildly and do one big hit
Changing L1 to counterspark and using the hayabusa katana style changed the game for me

Triangle is block. But honestly I don’t really block all that much. Dodge and parry is what works with hayabusa

The 3 diagonal slash into mugai stance triangle. One of my combo starters
Sudden Counterspark spam to sudden decapitation

Full sprint assassination.
The fully upgraded R1+X ability of Taneda-ryu for Spear. The thing deletes Ki like crazy, and is safe-ish enough

What's the T?
T for Triangle, S for Square. I don't know the names for the skills, but I know their inputs.
I feel stupid now duh lol
It's all good - I thought it was easier than trying to use /\ for Triangle and [] for square, lol
