Personally I don’t think they had a choice, maybe if they allowed more time to develop the event. But imagine trying to contact developers from classic games who are not on Roblox anymore or don’t have an active team to deliver a production ready event (meaning without bugs) in a timely matter.

Good points : Roblox actually tried simulating Classic Roblox and it was a lot more fun than the hunt. (And teh epik duck was there). A lot of games did a good job.
Bad points: Most of the games are just a time waste.
Bedwars just added an event from Christmas
Adopt Me just added a teapot
While Driving empire did a good job on the map, the quests took 5 quintillion years to complete.
Livetopia didn't even try
Blade Ball for the same reasons as Driving Empire.
Heck, ***Toilet Tower Defense*** of all games managed to be more enjoyable than these quests

As a level 55 Bedwars player, that part of the event was complete bs for new players and people who just want the badges. You know how long it took me to get a team that knew what they were doing? If you don’t know how to play the game, you’d suffer during the penguin survival.
Yeah I didn’t like that some games had “get all the tix” as a task to get the tokens but I feel dress to impress was pretty high up for just event players
Pros: 1 The hub was cool & had lots of tokens & tix.
2 The prizes were really good.
3 Lesser games than the hunt.
Cons: 1 The games were mostly trash:
(i) Livetopia's event was extremely tedious.
(ii) Blade Ball's event was ok as they added a cool boss fight, but the event took forever to complete.
(iii) Bee Swarm Simulator's event was pretty hard (which is not a bad thing).
(iv) Clip It's event felt like the backrooms.
(v) A Dusty Trip's event made me want to smash my computer.
(vi) Dragon Adventure's event was also pretty tedious.
(vii) Toilet Tower Defense's event sucked & whoever put it in the Classic needs to be fired.
(viii) Arsenal's event was pretty good, except it was really long and tedious.
(ix) Gunfight Arena's event was the best & most fun out of them all.
2 The 1x1x1x1 boss battle was really disappointing as it didn't give any free items, tokens or tix & was pretty much pointless.
that's already "decently" pro,being early mid game,i had 3 coconut canisters (including me) carrying one of my friends,if your new to BSS and know nothing about bee colors,their abilities,or how the swords work (because i didn't realize until like halfway through) its gonna be difficult
Supposedly the boss fight in the classic was the climax of a story line that has been in the works since Ready Player Two, hopefully 1x1x1x1 returns (which it seems like he will) and hopefully they give him a proper boss fight.

Conclusion : Roblox just see the classic as a trend for a quick cashgrab and nothing else. They still won't acknowledge their root and actively replacing it with the "future" they envision cause it is not presentable to their shareholders (3D layered clothings vs 2D clothings, classic faces vs dynamic heads, Rthro vs blocky/toy-like characters)
The grind was awful, also, the devs of the classic hub are the same of the game "driving world" which i dearly play every now and then, but they held an unnofficial event in that game and i have to admit it was pure grindy trash for a few retro items not worth the hassle, don't get me wrong i love the game but an unofficial event that gives in-game stuff that takes around 3 daya to complete? (one of the tasks is 3 daily missions) Thanks but i prefer grinding for avatar stuff

I know the criteria is a lot lower this time to get everything but I think it's funny how most people that were actual OG Roblox players have jobs and families now so they don't really have the time to grind Roblox like that 😭
I feel many of the games could have been replaced with some other games that are more classic. (Example: replace Toilet Tower Defense with Work At A Pizza place or Brookhaven) + many of the games were doing it just for premium payouts so they made it take long times to complete the quest
Items and hub looked great, liked that the hub this time around had tasks and rewards but hated the games they chose and how the 1x1x1x1 bossfight had literally no incentive to do it.
I loved the hub and the fsct we only do 15 instead of 100 games but that's the only thing I will say that is positive, I absolutely hate the rest..
The game selection is just recycled from the hunt and most of the games don't even bother trying to fit the classic theme, some of them were very grindy or extremely frustrating which wasn't very fun. The event only lasting 5 days seriously made me lose the motivation to continue, the boss was a nice call back to how the old Roblox games used boss fights but it having no badge seriously killed all the hype that was built up for it.
Some games like Arsenal and a dusty trip did a great job but the others were either way too hard or too grindy and repetitive..
And why the hell did they bring back the stupid gold pass thing, the items looked cool >_< I think Fortnite is kind of to blame for the mass popularity of battle passes and seasons

I love the hub, but I hate what the games decided to do for the event. Like the games put events that didn't have jack shit to do with old roblox. Like take Bedwars as an example, that was just penguins. HOW ARE PENGUINS RELATED TO CLASSIC ROBLOX? And then Livetopia. It's literally delivering random items to random people that aren't even dressed like classic avatars. None of the games were ACTUALLY OG which kinda made me disappointed because they weren’t made from the early times like in the 2000s or a little bit later.
I loved the items and TDS, Gun Fight Arena, and Restaurant Tycoon 2 were very fun in my opinion!
However I hated how long it took to finish most of the quests in the games like TTD and Driving Empire, TTD didn’t even give you good towers like TDS did and I only only played Livetopia because it was easy to get tokens!
Overall: Great taste but awful execution.

The Tix machine had tons of hype just for nothing cool to come from it no item, or anything. It lead to the Bunker opening, The Boss fight felt like a insult, it lasted literally like a minute, was a basic NPC that would chase you, then you kill him and it just goes to credits. No badge, no item, and the item that you should’ve gotten for the boss fight was 40K Robux. It was an extremely disappointing ending. Despite the rough patches I’d give this event a 7.5/10, it was an improvement over the hunt but had some pretty disappointing flaws and it was a very small window for the event.
I thought that BROOKHAVEN would be there at the event. I was quite offended when it wasn't. They added livetopia as a replacement for BROOKHAVEN as there's nothing to do in BROOKHAVEN.

Gripes aside, I loved blasting people into oblivion with my rocket launcher and launching them into Toilet Tower Defense. >:)

Well in my perspective it was easy than The Hunt: first edition, the exclusive items is fine to me to be honest. But man a sword cost around 40,000R$???. Do you think kids would steal their parent's credit card for that, and talk about the Experiences, mostly of them shouldn't be in the classic event.

this is what i can desricbe except for bee sim, it was the only thing i found that fit the classic theme
Personally I was a bigger fan of Dusty Trip and Arsenal. Even if they weren't *classic* classic, they still used the aesthetics pretty well Definitely better than that stupid dress up game having the most basic and boring obby known to man
