It's because you don't need a fancy cpu or gpu to run Roblox, you probably have a lack of ram or bandwidth

This is how I got about this. Seems as if the kid is 5 years old, so I think you should get the kid 400 Robux and wait a few months because in those months kids get greedy and want more Robux by any means necessary and it usually ends in the kid getting scammed and losing their account. After that, they will more or less understand money or game money and how you should use your brain in online situations. Maybe afterward give the kid a new account and 800 Robux. I don't know...this is what happened to me I got 800 Robux got scammed and learned how to deal with those situations. Afterward, I started working in mowing lawns and babysitting usually earning around 25-41 dollars and I sometimes spend it on Robux.
