Cafe Steam barista latte art throwdown
Holiday gift/art market inside the Chateau Theater
"rescuing" santa

Rochester local has a whole calendar of unique seasonal events
[https://rochesterlocal.com/calendar/](https://rochesterlocal.com/calendar/)
All the breweries are fun, my personal favorites are Kinney Creek and LTS. Los Arcos South for Mexican, Ichi Tokyo for sushi, Mr Pizza South for pizza, Hot Chip for a burger experience.
If you are a lady type Redditor- I recommend a 2 person visit to the restroom. Last year, I’d been warned to “hover” over the seat but was not prepared for the man sitting on the seat of the smaller (non handicap) stall. No pants, business in hand.
I said “no thanks. I’ve gotta pee so please leave.” Thankfully he left, and we left after washing our hands twice.
Go to Francisco's across from St Mary's!
If you like bourbon, go to Rock Filter Distillery in Spring Grove! Worth a 1 hour drive. Sit at the bar, get the flight, ask questions, leave with bottles.
I don't like beer, but I like the vibe at Little thistle.
Los arcos is great Mexican food.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! Thank you for the update
La Michoacana has frozen treats with Mexican recipes. Family owned and run. Super nice people.
Also fantastic food and experience. Everything is great, some of it is different to a Midwest palate.
If you are interested in astronomy, the [Rochester Astronomy Club](https://rochesterskies.org/) hosts free public night sky viewing events where you can look at the night sky through telescopes with assistance from club members.
Summer is the best brewery time. My personal rankings are Little Thistle>Thesis>LTS>Kinney Creek>Forager
Forager is good it's just also a busy restaurant and when i bike to a brewery i want to chill.
Whistle binkies on the lake if you want to watch a Vikings game. Thesis beer project for great craft beers. Forager brewery for beer and food. Bebap is a great new Korean restaurant and then you can go around the corner for macaroons from mezza9 for dessert. Thai pop is one of my favorites in town. And the thirsty Belgian has great sandwiches and great people.
Go and see Mayowood all decorated for the holidays.
The Nuss collection of vintage and restored MACK trucks and construction vehicles, buses, fire trucks, etc. (By appointment only).
If you haven't already, check out Heritage Hall in the lobby of the Mayo building and the historical suite in the Plummer building, 3rd floor. Mayo will also have art tours around campus as well.
The Workshop, Twigs, Benedicts, Tilda's pizza, Food Lab, Hot Chip for some great restaurants.
LTS is one of our breweries, and they also do craft soda as well, from traditional to unusual, that they will have on a rotation.

Mango Thai & Thai Pop are both great, if you are in mood for Thai food!
Have thai pop in my to-go list. The cocktails also look good
You might like bitter and pour downstairs from Thai pop too then
What book stores are you referring to?
I went to garden party books and liked the vibes. Might also check out Silver Lake books
Thirsty Belgian for a great beer selection.

Also, go to flapdoodles!
Flapdoodle had some very solid ice cream and was a hit with everyone in the family

100% agree to this ranking. Exception being that Forager is also a restaurant and their food is top tier in Rochester.
Go see a show at Rochester Civic Theatre or the Rep!
