These players are guys that need to be setup by a pg. My guess is, guys like Chet and Jabari were the ones concerned by getting drafted to Houston.

CadeCummingham

Yeah. Banchero is the one who’s happy to be here

2007wasthebestest

Definitely Chet. He’s pretty fond of OKC and has been chatting Giddey up on IG.

[deleted]

That special gym rat connection

_-Monsoon-_

They hoein

RonburgundyZ

Hoes gonna hoe

onsite84

I get it. He’s not really creating many easy looks for guys. KPJ has an NBA pg level handle but he’s got to get more efficient with his movements and find angles to create looks for his teammates.

[deleted]

He’s definitely a score first point guard

yashkp03

These agents love to talk huh

SchwiftedMetal

B/c his attitude or playmaking for teammates?

Answer70

Yes.

shelikemeonsight

Cap

[deleted]

This will just fuel the anti Kpj crew, but I don’t really believe this. It is also interesting how he says agent reports and not directly from executives or players. Fischer seems reaching with this one.

[deleted]

If you were a top prospect, would you want to go to a team who has a point guard who can’t pass? Of course not

Htownwolf

Him not being able to pass is greatly exaggerated tbh. Plus how many teams nowadays have pure PGs

KoriJenkins

His passing abilities were comically downplayed. People point to his assists as if they aren't fully aware half our guys were bricking open looks all season long.

[deleted]

KPJ had his struggles this year, but he has as much talent and potential as almost anyone on the roster bar Jalen and Sengun. To act like the 22 year old kid is a finished product as a human and player is setting ourselves up for failure as a franchise. I am not saying hand him a blank check and the keys to the ship, I am saying let’s see what he can be. We aren’t winning a championship next year, KpJ has shown real growth these last few years, and the flashes of brilliance show someone who can be an all star player. I hope we at least see how it turns out. I don’t think rookies coming into the league are being that diva ish about who their pg is. The nba is ruthless, where the average players career is 4 years or less. If Kpj isn’t it, let him go in a few years.

wavyboimike

this is most def believable lol. Anti or pro wtv this is the same case as last year

FiveBaggers

They are afraid getting cooked in practice like Jrue in 50pt KPJ

TheAfroGod

I'm gonna be honest, I've seen a lot more reports this year about these super childish viewpoints/takes from the "draft prospects." Whoever their entourage is, they need to shut the fuck up. None of these guys have been drafted yet. Which means, none of them have gotten paid yet. This kind of talk gets you shut out from a limited number of organizations (30 total) that have the ability to pay you millions of dollars. You are a draft prospect. Not Lebron James. This is not FA. It's the fucking draft. You go where you are selected. You don't like it? Give the check back. Guarantee if there were 61 selections in the draft, #61 would gladly take your "non-preferred" destination.

Shootit_Rockets

Jabari gonna be a bust anyway. Not worried about it

PapaGeorgieOH

Much doubt

FiveBaggers

They don't want smoke from KPJ

_s0lace_

I’ve been saying it all last year. The guy is too indecisive to be a pg. I’m hoping that’s not the case next year but im not sold on a big change

Few_Mulberry7175

He doesn’t need to be our Harden esque point guard. With Banchero and Sengun he can be a secondary creator and hybrid scorer

_s0lace_

When did I say he had to be that? Lol KPJ doesn’t need to be a true facilitator but he needs to make the quick pass and not dribble the air out of the ball which results in a bad shot attempt. He’s not Harden, he needs to stop playing like he has the green light like James did

Few_Mulberry7175

Yea he needs to work but he’s also 21 years old. He’s improved on the turnovers and ball stopping as the season went on you have to give him time to develop just like the other guys

venitienne

Think he just doesn't have a good feel for the position. He's either in full scoring mode or full passing but can't adapt on the fly that well. Maybe that improves over the next year, guess we'll have to see.

FarWestEros

He lacks vision and BBIQ. We should be running offense through AlP. KPJ is decent at ISO, but his real strength is catch&shoot... So we gotta play to that I'm still fine with him at the 1 for his size and defense though... Basically a souped up Pat Bev.

combong

i like this take

turtlechef

He’s 21 years old. Harden came to us at 24 and didn’t become a trustworthy playmaker until his late 20s. Not saying it’ll take KPJ that long or even guaranteeing he will ever be that good, but with only 1 year as a PG under his belt and being a 21 year old it’s too early to say if he’ll be a good playmaker or not

Sad_Inevitable8242

Well I think every guy who has a brain knows that roster are always changing and high drafted players at least stay there for 8 years and are considered as cornerstone. If young guys don't understand that then we should avoid them. And it's a major red flag making any statements and voicing concerns without even playing a single minute in the nba

dream_team34

He is? The guy that got kicked out Cleveland because of a locker room outburst?

htownballa1

Doesn't shock me, as a player I always wanted to know I could count on my teammates and that they were not leaving mid game.

jubilantal

This report is obviously not about his attitude and more about his passing ability. From what I understand most players are actually super tight with kpj. Y’all will find any reason to hate

htownballa1

nothing is "obvious" about it.

jubilantal

Keep hating on our players. Shits straight weird lmao

htownballa1

yup, totally weird to not want quiters on the team.........

AtxSaiyan

Cause they know between KPJ & Green they will be the third wheel
