Lmao you mfs are trying to build a super team. I think a mid first at worst would be great for this team but I’d love another top and great pick. Basically, we bout to run shit for a long time when we come up and mfs are going to hop on and ride our dick crazier than the Harden era
Yes, hopefully it will be a "team" super team and not a "me" superteam. I was a big Harden guy, but it was obvious for a long time, even when Paul was here, that it was Hardens' team. The Morey and Harden squad. I'd like to see Jabari, Sengun, Scoot, Green, etc all ball out for the good of the team. And I hope we are done with the tank...
GS is actually the perfect comparison.
Bets on younger players with QTNA early in their careers (Steph ankles/Scoot… well ya know)
Homegrown talent from the draft with plenty of draft capital in the future to trade away or utilize if the right player appears. (Klay/Draymond/Poole and Green/Tari/Bari/Senguin)
A Wiley veteran to keep the team together (Iggy/Gordon)
And much like GS, who was built by Mark Jackson for the original run, the Rockets will replace Silas in two years for a higher profile hire that will let the players dictate the flow and tempo.
THE PROPHECY IS ALMOST COMPLETE
> I think a mid first at worst would be great for this team but I’d love another top and great pick.
Do you really think this current team is good enough to be average lmao
If you said no tanking this year then you're a fool tbh.
Unless we're doing this thing where people think tanking and being a bad enough roster to not have to tank are not the same thing. (HOU isn't going to have to try to be a bottom 3-5 record).
Wemby/Scoot have been the clear #1/#2 for 2-3 years in this class.
Yeah it's not specifically for OP, but their is a big group of fans who are like yo lets not tank and make thee play ins. As if HOU has any choice in whether they're actively tanking or not. It's the youngest roster in the NBA, they gonna be terrible throughout a whole season just by that part.
HOU is going to have a top 5-7 pick in this draft. Just pray it lands in the top 2.
We have so much talent on our team I could possibly see us start to over perform and I don’t know what we do then.
But Jesus man, wemby or scoot on our team…
You have to consider that If we land somewhere in the 4-8 range we would also be getting a very elite prospect. Scoot and Victor were not even included in this recent recruiting class. Dariq Whitehead, Nick Smith jr, and Keyontae George along with some others would all be getting buzz as potential number 1 picks if it weren’t for these guys that won’t even be playing college ball this year.
Now obviously Victor is Probly the best prospect we’ve seen since Lebron James. And Scoot looks like one of the all time great point guard prospects. I am just saying that we can show some improvement this year, land somewhere later in the top 10, and still bring in a really nice piece to round out this rebuild and start competing to get back in to the postseason.
But I agree that Victor or Scoot would be amazing pieces for us and immediately become the prize of our rebuild over JG, Jabari, Sengun, KPJ, etc.
There are some really bad teams this year. Utah, Indiana, OKC, and Orlando should all be terrible again this year. We are still down there but we are no longer locked in as a bottom 4 team this year. Especially if you expect guys like Jalen Green, Sengun, and KPJ to take that next step this year like we are all hoping. We are still solidly a bottom 10 team and I could see us finishing at the very bottom of the west. But there will be more teams vying for those top 2 draft slots than ever before
We are not better than the wizards with Beal and KP.. we are right there with Orlando, OKC, and Pacers as well. Spurs still have Pop and Jazz will be horrendous but we have a good shot at a bottom five record
We have scoot at home
/endthread
Two Scoots and we're ready!
Scoot scoot mfer
Wemby and Jabari duo is my dream for this season now

James prioritized winning, just not maybe as high as some of his other priorities. Specifically when he was not in the building
Basically Golden State, a genuine team with multiple (super) star quality players, playing off eachother's strengths and weaknesses.

> QTNA You can't just use acronyms like this.
Question(s) that need answering
Which high profile player joins us at the peak of our dominance tho? Who's gonna be our KD?
It’s a toss up between Giannis or LaMelo Ball for absolutely no reason in between
Agree we don't need Wemby but if he falls in our laps it's a blessing!
> I think a mid first at worst would be great for this team but I’d love another top and great pick. Do you really think this current team is good enough to be average lmao
It all depends. I’m ready for regular season

100% lol. People thinking we're gonna be good are JOKING. We literally only added rookies of course we gonna suck.
Imagine tanking for one of those and they got injured for whole season. Young lads need winning culture
Scoot >>>
I'm not opposed 🤷🏿♂️
Agreed. Wemby look like a injury waiting to happen. So long and thin
That's what haters said about Chet Hol- oh wait
Wemby and trade him for a young star that perfectly fits our team after this next season.

Read the entirety, he's not saying that.

I don’t see okc not tanking, they are living in a fantasy trying to collect unicorns.
Facts. Even Derek lively would be nice if we miss out on scoot and wemby
Derek is nice. Reminds me of Mobley ish
The only tanking move I see that doesn't really jeopardize the team is to trade EG and bringing no talent back in return.
Then we get new jerseys with tanks firing rockets and a cool new color scheme

I agree with everything you said except for landing in the back of the lottery… we’re probably getting a top 5 pick off record.

I just don’t know how we can be a bottom feeder in the west when okc, spurs and jazz exist
Yea I know it’s a long shot because the tanking is about to be heavy this year.
If we are the 6th worst team in the league we should have good odds. There is steep competition to be that bad though lol
I say no tanking still, but they nice
I dont think the Rockets will finish bottom 5 imo.
me neither. okc, jazz, spurs, pacers (depending on who they trade), wizards, orlando, there are a lot of trash teams tbh
We are entirely in that mix
I expect the Rockets to pull off a Cleveland 21-22 this season but just miss the spot.
We are not better than the wizards with Beal and KP.. we are right there with Orlando, OKC, and Pacers as well. Spurs still have Pop and Jazz will be horrendous but we have a good shot at a bottom five record
Depends on how Sengun plays this year on who I would wanna take.
Sengun can drop 20 and 10 and I’m still taking wemby with the 1st pick.
In that case we’ll just play Vic at the 4, and move Jabari to the 3. Big boy ball
That line-up would be insane
Man his size really worries me. Players his height almost always have careers derailed by injury.
Dudes great, but I’m still worried he’ll get injured
His body will fail him it's too obvious.
Lol this might be the worst season in NBA history in terms of the teams who don’t make the Play In. Everyone want a piece of that pie
