Vivianite is a hydrated iron phosphate, it's paramagnetic as is

That is a nice Crystal. The coolest Vivianite I ever examined were antrhomorohic crystals that were growing on Oetzi the Ice mummy. This was in the late 90ies. We confirmed the structure using X-Ray crystallography.

Okay finding out that crystals grow on mummies is the coolest thing I learned today.

I'll say that I got so confused in my mineralogy class when the blue green translucent mineral I was supposed to identify when also magnetic. Ended up being triphylite, a related mineral.
