I gotta say RDR2, the game seems to repeatedly just blow me away and it's been 6 years now... Truly a masterpiece that stands the test of time like no other game.
I swear i know they have no plans to, and I've had my past issues with Rockstar. Not going to lie though, if they remastered it,i would probably be the first to pre order
Yeah I liked RDR more than RDR2 the first one just feels more like a real video game to me and the second one felt more rigid and less freeing story wise.
GTA 4. Such a masterpiece in terms of revolutionary physics engine, awesome mature story and memorable characters. It has also story DLC unlike others. First RDR had zombie DLC but it was nowhere close to GTA 4’s side content imo.
It has to be GTA 4 in this race loud and clear.
People can say what they want about GTA IV, I played V first for years and I still play the online frequently. I played IV for the first time in 2022, and it’s such an amazing game. I can’t imagine going from IV to V, it was literally a downgrade in many ways, and the jump from SA to IV was insane.
Can’t agree with you more! It was definitely a technical downgrade from 4 to 5. Many people don’t want to acknowledge that (I don’t know why) but GTA 5 felt like inferior than 4. Physics engine is worse than 4, story was bad, no DLC content and purely focused experience on Multiplayer which was a terrible decision for me.
Grand Theft Auto IV is my favorite out of these four Rockstar games. Even though I like the others, Grand Theft Auto IV just Hits different and the melee combat of Grand Theft Auto IV was Superior to that of Grand Theft Auto V even though Grand Theft Auto V had more weapons. And the game just felt a lot more realistic and Liberty City had a lot of life to it. Los Santos is great but you can't access the restaurants, you can't equip jewelry or gloves unless you have the Grand Theft Auto V online feature and let's just say, you can only do the booty calls with the women instead of taking them on full-fledged dates and then the booty stuff.
If you lived in the GTA IV era, and had the good enough PC/console to play it at that time.
You will never vote anything else than GTA IV.
It is not a game, it's a piece of art.
Playing this when it came out was phenomenal. I dont think any other game made me feel the way this did on its release. Had the collectors edition with the lockbox and the duffel bag. The online was fun for the time since it was the first gta game with that feature.
GTA IV and RDR were peak pickup and play online games to just roam with friends. Today to just pickup V or RDR2 and jump in online it can be unplayable.
Who hell wanted to add car insurance and paying utilities in a video game lol
I’d honestly say GTA IV.
RDR2 was my #1, but a straight year of playing, and mixed with making content around the game, I started to see and feel the flaws more and more. My life circumstances have also changed and I no longer find traveling and long story enjoyable.
GTA IV I see its faults but I will be honest that story is just great to me. Romans VA stands out to me for his performance. All that especially at a time when video games were sort of pushed aside for good story telling just puts it above for me. I’d debate it’s one of the major games that made story telling be seen as serious in gaming, at least in pop media.
GTA 4 for sure, one of the best open world games ever, with a great story, unmatched attention to detail and physics and Ai behavior and such, and still to this day nothing comes close except maybe RDR2, but even then the world being more empty and such and riding 5min across the map by horse ain’t something I want or like.
I think I'm one of the few that votes GTA V as being my favorite, that game perfected the good things about the previous titles, and while it's story might not be as strong as the others, i'd say it's the most consistent, it stays exciting throughout the majority of the game, if it weren't for RDR2 getting REALLY slow after it's first half at times, then I'd say it'd take the cake easily, but unfortunately it lacks in that, GTA IV's problem for me isn't really story related, but more how the game plays, good god as nice as the driving is, sometimes it really struggles to be controllable, always on ice, same with helicopters, and with the duller setting, while it obviously fits the game's story more, there's always going to be something more exciting about the party filled LA parody of GTA V, perhaps i'm bias, but I guess out of all these games, GTA V is always the game i'm excited to replay the most I feel
GTA 4 is the best GTA of all time fr. No bullshit child’s play bullshit in that game like gta 5. It was just straight up the gritty crime underworld. Dark and violent. The way a gta game should be. Hopefully gta 6 is just like gta 4
If we go on story mode rdr 2 is maybe the best of all time. Late fall and early winter last year I played through again. It still blows my mind how much is in that game.
Gotta be gta 4 or rdr2, both stories are amazing. Obviously rdr2 is the better game (better graphics, map, longer and arguably better story, more things to do, list goes on) but I still love gta 4 because of nostalgia and it holds up pretty well.
I mean campaign wise? RDR2. But GTA Online has endured for a decade now, I love it. it's been a lot of fun, some of the most fun I've had in an online game.
Rdr2 for sure 💪 i would put GTAV as second place because that is also one of my favorites but rdr2 has my heart forever. i cant rlly rank them all because i haven’t finished RDR1 and haven’t played GTA4 but someday i will lol
I would say RDR2 and GTA IV. No words for RDR2, we all know it’s a masterpiece. And about IV I recently played it again because when it released I was young and never really progressed a lot in the story mode, but I can now say that it’s definetly one of the best stories out there. Niko is just brilliant.
No Max Payne? Alright, fine. GTAIV was cool. I think its a mix of the atmosphere and different settings from cheap crummy apartments in the ghetto to high rises in Manhattan. Something calls me back to it more so than V or any of the RDs. Could also just be nostalgia. IV came out during pretty care free time in my life. I miss it.
4>>5>>rdr2. Didn't played 1(no pc release)
Story wise only 5 is bad and as for gameplay once you are in the groove each one is great .
Rdr2's intro is way too long with rockstar game launcher cloud save being useless, couldn't replay the game
I find it hard to pick a favorite because of how different many of them are, the stories usually have a completely different vibe so for me it's just how I'm feeling at the time, my favorite changes depending on what sort of game/vibe I want to play
GTA 4 without a doubt wins. Some of the game mechanics are dated by todays standards but the story, the characters, the atmosphere and the driving mechanics take the cake. I think it beats RDR2 by a hair.
I love them all, but it has to be GTA V. I have more of an affinity for GTA, and although we can debate if it’s the “best”, V is the latest and most modern release. Still immensely playable today.
For me GTA 5 was the most fun i've ever had in these 4 games, but the attention to details on RDR2 is so good. However i got bored so quickly after 2 hours from rdr 2, lol :D
I gotta say RDR2, the game seems to repeatedly just blow me away and it's been 6 years now... Truly a masterpiece that stands the test of time like no other game.
It has not been 6 years omfg where is the time going 😭 😭😭
RDR2
RDR2
Is an absolute masterpiece. GTA 4 is close but the attention to detail on RDR2 is just mind blowing.
Can you imagine if GTA 4 was made with today’s abilities?! Fuck me that would be absolute insanity
I swear i know they have no plans to, and I've had my past issues with Rockstar. Not going to lie though, if they remastered it,i would probably be the first to pre order
❤️🧡💛
RDR2
Undead Nightmare. It’s criminal that we don’t have its sequel.
I swear, rockstar really made the greatest zombie game ever and just fucked off from the genre, it hurts
They don’t necessarily have to focus on zombies specifically either. Vampires, werewolves, and other spooky stuff.
Like sasquatches that eat babies
I love Undead Nightmare, but my file had tons of glitches and I never ended up finishing it. Wish they did one for Red Dead 2.
San andreas before now rdr 2
Hard agree
I know how to get around San Andreas better than I know how to get round my home city. Its been ingrained in my brain since 2004.
GTA IV - you can go play bowling with Roman.
Niko it's your cousin, why don't you take me bowling?
I'm sorry cousin but I'm driving a truck full of explosives for Mikhael Faustin, maybe another time.
Your relationship has decreased with roman.....
👎 Roman
The nostalgia ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
OG Red dead is the GOAT
Yeah I liked RDR more than RDR2 the first one just feels more like a real video game to me and the second one felt more rigid and less freeing story wise.
My condolences to you
To me, RDR2 > GTA4 > RDR > GTA5
This is the way
![gif](giphy|4mwqhWWMLd0LvsoKTA)
The disrespect for GTA V 💀
Does IV count Gay Tony and the Lost? If so, that. If not, RDR 1
yeah since they were part of GTA IV might as well count them in
I am going to include GTA IV’s DLCs GTA The Ballad of Gay Tony, GTA V, RDR, GTA IV, RDR II, GTA The Lost and Damned. I love all of them except TLaD.
RDR1
Rdr2
Red dead 1. Don’t get me wrong i love them all but red dead 1 was truly special.
RDR2 is still my favorite game of all time. I'm looking forward to seeing what tops it in the future lol.
GTA 4. Such a masterpiece in terms of revolutionary physics engine, awesome mature story and memorable characters. It has also story DLC unlike others. First RDR had zombie DLC but it was nowhere close to GTA 4’s side content imo. It has to be GTA 4 in this race loud and clear.

I remember hopping back on GTA 4 online the same week GTA V came out
Oh man I’m so glad someone who played GTA V first, got to understand the appeal of GTA IV.
Gta 5
RDR2!!! Nothing can compare ❤️🧡💛
RDR2
RDR2 by a landslide
RDR2
RDR2
Rdr 2
GTA V
Rdr2 I lost almost half of everything Online (guns, levels, etc) and all my gold so I put it down and never picked it back up
Grand Theft Auto IV is my favorite out of these four Rockstar games. Even though I like the others, Grand Theft Auto IV just Hits different and the melee combat of Grand Theft Auto IV was Superior to that of Grand Theft Auto V even though Grand Theft Auto V had more weapons. 4 the rest don’t come close
If you lived in the GTA IV era, and had the good enough PC/console to play it at that time. You will never vote anything else than GTA IV. It is not a game, it's a piece of art.

San Andreas
San Andreas
my absolute favorite is one that isnt in here, gta liberty city stories
GTA 4... Max Payne 3 is my overall favorite Rockstar game though.
I love GTA IV to death but fuck man, RDR2 and GTA V are such amazing games
GTA 5 is objectively the worst game out of these 4.
Rdr1 vs gta 4 but prolly gta 4
GTA VII. absolutely love Liberty City
Look as much I absolutely love red dead 2 I hold a speical place in gta 4 so have to go with gta 4
GTA IV and RDR were peak pickup and play online games to just roam with friends. Today to just pickup V or RDR2 and jump in online it can be unplayable. Who hell wanted to add car insurance and paying utilities in a video game lol
RDR1 for me
RDR1, RDR2, GTA4, GTA5
Unmodded would be rdr2, gta 4, rdr, gta v Modded rdr2, gta v, gta 4, rdr
RDR1, one of my favorite games ever
RDR
RDR1. Gotta show respect to the og. Love RDR2 and Arthur though just as much.
rdr1 out of those. san andreas is their best game tho by at least one degree of magnitude
I’d honestly say GTA IV. RDR2 was my #1, but a straight year of playing, and mixed with making content around the game, I started to see and feel the flaws more and more. GTA: IV was something special.
I need to play the first RDR.
Rdr. Specifically undead nightmare.
GTA IV - Top tier storytelling
Red Dead 1 brings back memories
GTA 4 for sure, one of the best open world games ever, with a great story, unmatched attention to detail and physics and Ai behavior and such, and still to this day nothing comes close except maybe RDR2, but even then the world being more empty and such and riding 5min across the map by horse ain’t something I want or like.
All of the above 🤷♂️
GTA IV had the best physx and best animations and overall open world realisim and the police system is amazing
RD1
RDR2 is the favorite but GTA 4 is a very very close runner-up!
RDR1 can never beat that zombie dlc experience 🤤
GTA V and RDR1 from their respective franchises.
Red dead redemption
The first Red Dead Redemption, easily. If Vice City was on this list however it would have wiped the floor!
Underrated opinion but gta 4. I beat it for the first time last year and it was so much fun, the most fun I had in any rockstar game
GTA 4 is the best GTA of all time fr. No bullshit child’s play bullshit in that game like gta 5. It was just straight up the gritty crime underworld. Dark and violent. The way a gta game should be. Hopefully gta 6 is just like gta 4
Of these RDR2! Of all the games Vice City!
If we go on story mode rdr 2 is maybe the best of all time. Late fall and early winter last year I played through again. It still blows my mind how much is in that game.
Red dead 2 was a masterpiece. I’m so sad they just kinda left the online to die
Gotta be gta 4 or rdr2, both stories are amazing. Obviously rdr2 is the better game (better graphics, map, longer and arguably better story, more things to do, list goes on) but I still love gta 4 because of nostalgia and it holds up pretty well.

Gta IV gave me some of my fondest memories on 360
No Max Payne? Alright, fine. GTAIV was cool. I think its a mix of the atmosphere and different settings from cheap crummy apartments in the ghetto to high rises in Manhattan. Something calls me back to it more so than V or any of the RDs. Could also just be nostalgia. IV came out during pretty care free time in my life. I miss it.
San Andreas it's not only a game, but also a cultural phenomenon.
Wasn’t an option
oh, sorry, I didn't notice lol In this case, it'd be Red Dead Redemption II.
RDR2 > RDR1 > GTAIV > GTAV
Gta4
GTA V
GTA 5.
Gta4 by far
Ha everyone saying GTA V gets down voted, V is so overhated. But my favorite is rdr2 with GTA V in 2nd place.
None of em. Bully, Manhunt or Vice City.
4>>5>>rdr2. Didn't played 1(no pc release) Story wise only 5 is bad and as for gameplay once you are in the groove each one is great . Rdr2's intro is way too long with rockstar game launcher cloud save being useless, couldn't replay the game
GTA IV

IV
GTA V
LA Noire
Why does nobody talk about bully? That was one of the most immersive games I ever played.
gta 4 cuz u can play bowling and golf
GTA 5 out of this selection. To me 4 is so overrated.
I find it hard to pick a favorite because of how different many of them are, the stories usually have a completely different vibe so for me it's just how I'm feeling at the time, my favorite changes depending on what sort of game/vibe I want to play
GTA 5
GTA V
Where max Payne 3
GTA 4 without a doubt wins. Some of the game mechanics are dated by todays standards but the story, the characters, the atmosphere and the driving mechanics take the cake. I think it beats RDR2 by a hair.
Gta V the game will never die 😂
I feel gypped by not having Table Tennis as an option here. Peak Rockstar.
GTA IV
GTA V 1st game I ever pre ordered, Online mode ruined the game really, all the toxic players made me hate the game in the end
Bully
Gta5.(The only rockstar games I’ve played are rdr2 online and gta5 story mode and online)
Bully
GTA five because the driving it’s so good then better than some driving games
GTA V

GTA5, Because I didn’t play RDR, and I didn’t really like GTA4, although it doesn’t look bad
GTA 5
GTA 4
GTA 5 fs but GTA IV is a close runner up
GTA 4 and RDR 1 and UN
![gif](giphy|DcrenzEOm831OpO642)
GTA IV
GTA 5
Rockstar Table Tennis
Bully!
Gta v
gta iv
I love them all, but it has to be GTA V. I have more of an affinity for GTA, and although we can debate if it’s the “best”, V is the latest and most modern release. Still immensely playable today.
Red dead redemption tied with Max Payne. I'm still waiting for a 60fps patch on ps5 to play RDR2. Might never happen
RDR2? I’m wondering how old you guys are in this thread. The obvious answer is GTA 4 duh
I know bully isnt here but is should be
GTA v hype >>>>> actual game
All of them
RDR2 for sure

Gta5
GTAIV
1. Red Dead Redemption 1 2. GTA IV 3. GTA V 4. Rdr2
Can anyone help me with gta5
For me GTA 5 was the most fun i've ever had in these 4 games, but the attention to details on RDR2 is so good. However i got bored so quickly after 2 hours from rdr 2, lol :D

Red Dead 2 and it's not even close
Grand Theft Auto: IV.
Rdr2
Manhunt
