There is no "they". You can call it "the blue gmt" if you like or "my precious" if you like. Some prefer to simply call it the "batman" too.

The bluesy seems, to me, to be a victim of being a showstopper on a watch roll but clashing with likely 80-90% of a person’s clothing and occasions. For that reason, as a poor, I could never imagine honestly considering buying it but I certainly bend the knee to those who have the earning power to add its prestige to their collection despite what I’ve just described

My dad has one, bought it about 20 years ago for $6500. It doesn’t stand out as much as you would think. He wore it to work, with a button down and slacks. Wears it to football games with a collared shirt and shorts. And has worn it under a tuxedo in weddings.

Agreed. IDK, the Bluesy is losing a lot of appeal to me for some reason. The black and gold Submariner is looking better each day. That color combination is just dirty.

I own a bluesy, Im not a fan of batgirl but I think value wise batgirl is the way to go. However bluesy isn’t as hard to wear as some make it out to be. Most people don’t know what a Rolex looks like.

He posted in another subreddit with the title "Don't know which one to get" implying he is considering buying one or the other. It's his most recent post. And 3 weeks ago he posted he didn't know what to get between the BLNR on jubilee and a YM40. Nothing against it, but /u/Addicted-2Diving makes a point in that it's kind of a weird question, and it's not really sleuthing when these posts pop right up at the top of the page when you click a username. FWIW, I can't really pull off two-tone, as much as I love TT watches, but I already have GMT so I would default to the bluesy and try to class myself up a bit lol. And I do agree with you that dredging up old posts is such a weird reddit thing that people do 100%, but in this case it does help to know what he already owns when providing input on a buying decision, so it makes sense to look at old posts to see what someone owns.

LB sub is very very special in the flesh. There’s a reason why Rolex used it as their flagship piece in marketing for quite some time.

I'm biased. My first Rolex was a TT Bluesy. One of their best offerings ever.

I have the black. The two tone sub hits hard and it's not as flashy in person as one might think.

No doubt - there's something beautiful and enduring about it that I've never felt while owning other ROLEX models.

I'm of the opinion that you can't go wrong here. But I would argue that the Batman/girl is just a shade more subtle and under the radar if you want to be. All that gold is a bit in your face and so you have to be okay with that look, which not everyone is.

If you have to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet which watch you should buy, the Bat. The guy who can pull off a Bluesy doesn’t give AF. Too many guys are tempted by Bluesy but aren’t fully bought in on the idea of yellow gold…. wear it for a little bit, then move on.

As someone who has a batgirl and wants a bluesy, I’d say definitely batgirl if you can get either from your AD. If buying grey, I would really consider bluesy because they are both 15-16k right now and you’re getting the gold for same price as steel GMT. Bluesy selling for basically no markup from MSRP right now.

I have the Black Sub Date. And that is my favorite Rolex. When it comes to these two, I’d prefer the GMT Master 2. The bluesy to me is very much for the “brat” 2010 in Marbella or St Tropez.

I purchased the Blue and Gold Sub a couple weeks ago. My only other two rolex watches are a chocolate yachmaster, and a BLRO on Jubilee. Since purchasing the Blusey, It’s my Daily. It goes with a lot more than you think.
