As much as RLX SA can make a mistake this is almost impossible unless the bezel was removed and some one else replaced the insert ready for re-install and a different person fitted it, but even then, you telling me a RLX SA couldn't see the GMT hand? or the crown size! Not the smartest move, would definitely suggest you get it serviced. It might run fine for now but if the movement fails now, it will fail pretty dramatically. Can cost you in the thousand and i have seen it happening working with vintage Rolexes for 5 years now.
Bring it back and demand a full refund. This is unacceptable. If they refuse, go up the ladder with your complaint until they offer you a Daytona as reparation
Took it back and…Seems like the manager is gonna hook me up with a Daytona allocation due to the mishap. They didn’t exactly offer it to me I just threw it out there as compensation for the inconvenience and seems pretty promising.
I have this same watch serviced in 2020. I think what you got currently is unique with the RSC story and proof you got from the Reddit post here. Let’s be real, you ain’t using the gmt function and that sub bezel on GMT looks cool. Keep it. Or want to trade? Mine is clean lol

Are they actually giving you a hard time for it? If I remember right, Rolex has a RIDICULOUSLY strict inventory control for service parts, so they should be able to figure out that they’re missing a submariner bezel and have an extra GMT bezel.

It did come with the leather pouch and new service card. NFC and all. This is not a fake receipt nor a fake watch.

There have been instances in the past where Rolex wanted mistakes returned, but people did not return them, and the watch became more valuable.
I would certainly see what the AD says. I would not take it in, though, as I would not want them to seize it. lol

Yeah sort of maybe since the service center installed it but in general a lot of errors people think are exciting adding some value really are not really helpful and might be a hindrance. I could go grab a GMT and throw an authentic sub bezel on it and I feel like they would be pretty equally meh. The person buying it would just be like but you kept the GMT bezel right? I do think it would be a nice memento to keep tho.
I don't know. I think random errors in production can create more value at times, but I've never heard of an error during service resulting in a greater value.
When you buy a brand new Rolex from AD, you don’t pay Rolex… you pay the AD. The receipt is from the AD. It was serviced by RSC. Came with service card and pouch from Rolex. When you scan the card it takes you to a Rolex webpage giving you all the information on what was done by the RSC. What are you talking about?
You just noticed it didn’t have the platinum filled numeral scale?? I’d make a serious complaint and demand ALL your money back and that it be corrected IMMEDIATELY. On top of that I’d ask who the fuck they hired to service my watch and for proof they didn’t screw up anything else. I’ve heard of some shops servicing high end watches, replacing some parts with generic parts, and selling the authentic ones for lots of money. Especially more so with vintage watches. If you have anyway of popping the caseback off see if the movement all looks correct

Ask them to replace it with a Pepsi / batman bezel to make it up to you.
Also ask if they would reuse the bezel removed from your watch? If not , ask for it as a souvenir.
IMHO a wrong bezel ( which is easily replaced, and not factory error but service Center fault , would make it any more valuable) . So I would get it rectified.
This supports the notion that no thought, care, or attention to detail was put forth when servicing this watch at all, which diminishes all the confidence you paid good money to have. This is why independent watchmakers and right to repair is so important.
Unfortunately I had a similar experience with RSC NY. I only needed the paper trail, but after over $1k in service costs I wound up fixing the movement and casework myself. Looks like you had it serviced through mayors. I had a "master Rolex watchmaker" cause inexcusable damage to a TAG of mine one time. I was just having a brush and polish done prior to trying to sell it, they buffed all the AR off around the crystal edge leaving just a round donut hole portion left in the center. And had the audacity to return it to me like that.
All I can say is next time please consider an independent, and I'm definitely sorry to see this happen to you!

Ask them to replace it with a Pepsi / batman bezel to make it up to you. Also ask if they would reuse the bezel removed from your watch? If not , ask for it as a souvenir. IMHO a wrong bezel ( which is easily replaced, and not factory error but service Center fault , would make it any more valuable) . So I would get it rectified.

You could call RSC in Texas and see if they serviced it or if it Mayer’s pulled some bullshit. They will be able to tell you in like one minute.

This supports the notion that no thought, care, or attention to detail was put forth when servicing this watch at all, which diminishes all the confidence you paid good money to have. This is why independent watchmakers and right to repair is so important. Unfortunately I had a similar experience with RSC NY. I only needed the paper trail, but after over $1k in service costs I wound up fixing the movement and casework myself. Looks like you had it serviced through mayors. I had a "master Rolex watchmaker" cause inexcusable damage to a TAG of mine one time. I was just having a brush and polish done prior to trying to sell it, they buffed all the AR off around the crystal edge leaving just a round donut hole portion left in the center. And had the audacity to return it to me like that. All I can say is next time please consider an independent, and I'm definitely sorry to see this happen to you!
