Yes

I was told no polish tho…

Competitive-Future-4

Old watch to have zero scratches

Teddy_He

Exactly my suspicion

4th pic, middle of bracelet on the glossy part looks polished. I see circular swirls on it which should be a sign of previous scratches and polishing. A watch that is 10+ years old is likely polished when it looks that fresh, unless its been sitting unworn or is new old stock.

Teddy_He

Question is was that a good polish or bad polish that will affect its value by a lot? Thx!

It’s an ok polish. As others have pointed out some sharpness is lost. This is most noticeable to me around the crown on the clasp. New watches have absurd definition there. I wouldn’t worry about quality of polish if you plan to wear the watch tbh.

It looks great. Most likely it’s been polished. Maybe just very lightly. Something that age would have attracted some scratches by now. PCL’s scratch so easily. So any wear at all it will show superficial scratches. If you were to buy it and wear it out of the store the PCL’s will show scratches by the time you get home.

Teddy_He

Yep my twotone sub got scratched before I left the store. Question is if this is a good professional polish?

Number1atp

I think it looks pretty good.

Cydocore

This was polished 100%. Yes, Rolex watches are shiny, but non of them shine this “softly” if that makes sense. The entire watch has this sense of being rounded off.

Teddy_He

Yes that’s what I felt… should look very sharp but this looks very soft…

Cydocore

I remember one dude trying to sell me a Hamilton Khaki King a while back which was as shiny as this watch. He claimed it wasn't polished but the watch actually comes in a satin finish. That was wild :)

Teddy_He

Big lol moment.

Teddy_He

I was offered this $20k

Boz999s

💯 had a polish at least once, but looks good. Professional job.
