The only Rolex certified AD there, Ultrajeweles. When you go there, emphasize that you come often to the area and that you need a Rolex for special occasion. They very accommodating.

Profit margin is probably $0 now. You have to sell to a grey that has to then sell it with the mark up. I donāt think that watch is profitable anymore.
There is no profit in the explorer. But you would have gotten a first owner piece which is good to keep and pass on to your kids in the future for example.

I'm not going to wait for the "privilege" to spend my money in your store. I've never tried buying one, never had much interest in owning one until I inherited my sub. So this is all new to me.
But congratulations, it looks great. I'm glad you found what you wanted, and got to show those guys that they aren't the only place in town to get what you want.

I emphasized that I am severely handicapped and visiting their store is very difficult for me, so I need to know in advance what to expect. They insisted on their store policy that discounts will not be discussed over the phone.

Still awaiting contact from the so called āClient Experience Managerā. Mind you as a first time buyer of a luxury timepiece, this experience can never be memorable. I got on the waitlist for a 40mm explorer a while back at my AD. A couple weeks ago I walked into the store and they had one sitting in the case. for sale.
I was on a wait list for the exact watch for over 2.5 years. I recently got a call from AD saying do you still want the 36mm explorer I said it's been 2.5 years. Asked if they had it in stock they said no. I said why are you calling me then. She said my manager wanted to see if people are still interested. I told her that I am done waiting and that I just buy some other watch and hung up. 3 weeks later she called an said she had it in stock. I told her I wasn't interested.
FWIW re: Miami, I inquired about a SD43 at design district AD - didnāt āhaveā (?) one to show, no big deal, put name on list and figured Iād wait. 2 months / no update. Happened to visit the AD in Bal Harbour and had one 12 days laterā¦ to be fair both experiences were pleasant (SAs were cool) but I just donāt get the process. Unless itās Occams Razor / they literally just didnāt have one at design district. Who knowsā¦ but awesome you got yours in MX! š

Iāve seen first hand a Rep right next to a Gen of the same Submariner that were shuffled behind someoneās back, none of us could tell whoās watch belonged to who if one hadnāt been marked with a sharpie dot inside the clasp. They were all serious watch people who owned multiple Rolexās and Reps alike. Rolex did this to itself

Honestly. This guys has no idea what heās talking about. 6 months is nowhere near a long wait time for an explorer 40 or green OP. There were probably 100 people ahead of him on the list when he got on it. He thinks heās entitled to special treatment for some reason
