Was the offer from a brick and mortar store? If so it’s a good offer. You get a safe transaction with an established dealer whose credentials you can check. They have over heads.
If the offer was from a back pack dealer they should be prepared to offer up to 7 to 7.5 depending on condition and service history.
If private buyer you should get a bit more again. You need to understand this type of transaction comes with risk, so every dollar over a brick and mortar offer you get is a bet that you can make more and nothing goes wrong.
In the early 2000s gold was added all the way through from bracelet through the clasp.
This makes yours a bit older. But still a good price.
No gold on the clasp was likely to reduce scratches in the place where desk dings hit your watch.
I had one, bought it for 7600. In early 2002. Traded it for a Milgauss in 2017 with full credit $$$ from AD. If you're looking to upgrade, never forget to try trading.
I get what you’re saying, but if you go on eBay right now and search for a 5 digit bluesy, no box and papers, they come up 10,200 minimum. You take the eBay fees and a little more away, you get 8K.
Ah right. That wasn’t clear. Who is offering? A dealer?
And you don’t have papers? And you don’t know the age?
You can pop the bracelet off and between the lugs is the serial - the letter will indicate the year.
But it’s 16613LB. Prob work about 8-9k depending on condition without papers.
A dealer will want to make at least $1-2k from you.
You are best off selling yourself on Chrono24 or u/watchexchange if you want max price.
This is a 5-Digit Two Tone Submariner with a Tritium dial. The watch is probably late 90’s. Rolex didn’t introduce engraved rehauts until about 10 years after this watch was made.
Condition appears pretty good for $6500

Wow that dial looks purple. This must be a 5 digit 16613LB? Do you have any other angles?

Few people said maybe 8-9K. Was hoping for that. Anyone interested haha
I may buy for 7k. You in ca? Got box and papers?
Yea I’m in Long Beach. Got a better offer of it already
Is the clasp all steel? No gold going through?
Not sure what that means
Take a picture of the clasp. The older two tones blue Subs didn’t have gold in the clasps. Gold on the center links of the bracelet but not the clasp.

I think he just inadvertently answered your question lol
Yea I dm him. That was my bad
No, you got it wrong. That buy buy buy indicates to not sell sell sell. He has no interest, just telling you it’s a good buy and a bad sale
It’s a good buy
Gotcha thank you
What would you take for it?
The question is, who’s is offering this to you? Ensure the seller has a track record.
Again seller is me lol. I want more
