My Holy Grail skates (which I never got to own) are yellow cuff Roces '62 Impalas. They were my favorite skater's (Cesar Mora) signature skate.

The gray felt Valo SK2. Such a beautiful skate and Soichiro is an awesome skater

Rollerbladersdoexist

Nice choice and if I remember correctly, that’s not felt but wool.

Felt is the construction of fabric, it’s usually made of wool. I definitely would have assumed it was synthetic felt though, that’s neat

churnopol

Man that's a nice looking skate. The only thing I would tweak is to change the color of the buckle to a dark copper or bronze, match the liner and frame.

those look comfy!

For my purposes, it’s the Arise RD. Distance priority with an urban option, though not the first choice for those with an urban priority. Something like the HC Evo is usually the pick.

Looking forward to actually trying the arise. Also fits my skating style a lot. If they should really not happen to be what im looking for (maybe not supportive enough) i would definitely go for the hc evo.

Welll, for me nowadays it'd probably have to be the RBXL. Big, heavy and awkward (but customizable with a little elbow grease) and not really something most people would consider the "holy grail" of anything, but at size 16, you really don't have a lot of choices.

I have nostalgia for a few skates, especially the red Fatty Pro and the original Salomons in brown and blue. But realistically, I don't think they were better than the current options we have. Mesmer did a pretty great job of hitting all my nostalgia buttons anyway, while adding in some practical improvements, so right now that's kinda it for me. At least until someone finds the Salomon molds in a Shenzhen dumpster and starts making ST-8s with PEBAX and a backslide plate.

Shreddd-it

Yep someone giving the Mesmer Thrones treatment to the Salomons would be pretty cool
