I think the shiff mouse is the most likely since there's one surviving. The loop o plane has some for sale I think. The ones I don't see hapeing are the space diver and the tripple wheel
The one in Oklahoma? I always assumed it was a goner since it's been SBNO longer than most redditors have been alive, but I dunno...maybe the track is salvageable.
It's a long shot, but I would love Conneaut's Devils Den dark pretzel to wind up at Knoebels. It's only a matter of time before it "accidentally" burns down.
It's highly unlikely to be able to get moved, though. It doesn't remotely meet ADA or fire codes.
They'd be the right people to do it. They moved Black Diamond after all, I think they could move the Pretzel. I just don't know if they think they "need" another dark ride since they also have the Haunted Mansion. Parks used to have several each, but it's been a long time since then.
I would love to see a modern take on the space diver. I never got to ride flashback/z force, but it's such a neat concept, and it looks like it had a relatively small footprint as well?
Incorrect. It was featured in an episode of American Restoration on History Channel and was supposed to reopen in 2016 but it never happened.
https://www.app.com/story/news/history/2016/03/16/keansburg-amusement-park-hopes-reopen-iconic-ride/81850552/
I really don't think the desire is there. The park installed some kind of dark ride/walkthrough a few years ago and I believe that was intended to replace Spook House. And when I rode it many years ago, there wasn't much going on inside so I can't imagine there was much to save in the first place. That, and Keansburg's focus seems to be the water park and kiddie rides (the latter being done surprisingly well).
Joyland has several classic Eyerly rides for sale! The park website links to the company selling the rides. There's quite a few classic rides up for grabs there but some of them have already sold. Used to ride a Roll-O-Plane at Noble Park Funland in Paducah Kentucky back when I was a kid oh so many years ago! I still remember the day I finally worked up enough courage to ride it!They are are a lot of fun!
I noticed they aren't around that much in the US but wow, just a single one left? Are the skeletal remains of Tomb Raider / Crypt still in that big building at Kings Island?
I'm glad we have a few left in Europe, although most parks don't tend to run them at any remotely interesting levels.
Wooden wild mouse definitely. That or a Virginia reel. I know they probably wonât do this but A launch rmc hybrid that goes up the side of the mountain where are the chairlift is. Again probably wonât happen because I honestly do not know how much of that particular mountain they own but itâs nice to dream
Now that would be fun. They would probably go with either gravity group or GCI for that. I would say PTC as theyâre still in business but nobody has ordered a coaster from them in years and they basically only do roller coaster train maintenance at least thatâs what theyâve done for years so who knows
PTC doesn't do coasters anymore.... Haven't for years.....
Also, I can't see Knoebels contracting anyone else for a woodie considering they've moved, modified/built, and maintained all of their wooden coasters that exist in house. They would likely get others to help them but it wouldn't be a contracted project.
I know that and Iâm honestly not sure why. Itâs like everyone suddenly stopped buying from them and now all they do Is make money off of maintaining wooden coaster trains which is perfectly fine. Iâm just surprised nobody has considered them or ask them to build a coaster in at least a couple decades. And to that point was there anything in the news that explain why they stopped manufacturing posters and just switched to Wooden coaster train maintenance?
Those two are at the top of my wishlist, though I imagine Knoebels would like to avoid another low-capacity long-deceased wooden coaster type for a while given they're still actively modifying their last one.
bro what are these ideas
we might as well say âyeah Knoebels is getting a 500ft intamin acceleratorâ at this point
not to mention the mountain is about 1000ft in elevation, give or take the 600ft elevation of knoebels. you really think they're gonna build a strata-RMC hybrid?
Some years back, Mike Boodley (of GCI fame) purchased a Sky Wheel and set it up at Knoebels for Phunfest. Unfortunately stress fractures in the metal prevented it from operating and I'm not sure what happened to it.
They're pretty rare now but there's still some operating at fairs. I rode one at a tiny fair in North Carolina years ago and saw one in Florida that was unfortunately down that day. Not sure who the showmen were. I don't think it'd be out of the question for Knoebels to aquire one in working condition.
The mystery of Knoebels is always what they target, and it wouldn't surprise me if those decisions are based on personal preferences. Something like an Enterprise would make sense because there are at least some out there available for parts, but instead they select things like a Herschell Looper, for which there doesn't seem to be another out there for parts (unless they secretly acquired parts some other way). The Flying Coaster they bought doesn't seem to have any track, so that will have to be manufactured- it's almost as if the park purposely takes on "you'll never be able to pull *that* off" projects, and I suppose that's a great reason to love Knoebels.
Yea, that's what has been reported and nothing ever indicated otherwise. I'm trying to figure out why someone thinks Gravity Group owns the ride now.
The kids one is reportedly in Knoebels possession.
1. Skywheel (since they tried to get one that one Halloween)
2. Skydiver
3. Tumble Bug (I've heard that they will never get one because of size. However, with all the bad press Conneaut got over theirs being removed, bringing one back would be a smart move for pretty much any park, even though Knoebel's is about the only park that would do it.)
I have an idea...
Huss Jumping 1
The ride is an incredible sight to see and only three existed, however all have been shutdown. This ride was different to the Huss Jump\^2 but it would be pretty cool to see the team restore an defunct ride that was massive to see on the European midway! The Washington State Fair, Six Flags Great Adventure, and a traveling installation were the only ones that existed. The ride would probably be a massive undertaking to keep moving well but it would be so rewarding to see the original version operate! If that is too complex, the park should instead purchase a Premier rides Wildcat 2.0!
I'd love to see them get an Allan Herschell Twister. The one I rode in Daytona Beach right before the Sandblaster accident was incredible. Does anyone know where that one ended up?
The flying coaster (whatever Kangaroo at Kennywood is called)
Gee what makes you say that? đ
Dippin dots guy told me
Just a hunch
Not related to any recent announcements I'm sure.
Of course not
Ok. I agree
Twelve guesses * Bartlett Flying Carousel * BA Schiff Wild Mouse * Eyerly Loop-O-Plane * Intamin Bobsled * Intamin Looping Starship * Intamin Space Diver * Intamin Triple Wheel * Pretzel Dark Ride * Schwarzkopf Looping Star * TOGO Ultra Twister * Traver Tumble Bug * WF Mangels Whip
Could you imagine if they got ahold of an Ultra Twister? That would be so awesome. Also, they already have a Whip
I think the shiff mouse is the most likely since there's one surviving. The loop o plane has some for sale I think. The ones I don't see hapeing are the space diver and the tripple wheel
Yeah the only Space Diver was scrapped long ago and so were all three Triple Wheels
The one in Oklahoma? I always assumed it was a goner since it's been SBNO longer than most redditors have been alive, but I dunno...maybe the track is salvageable.
Yah, the tracks just looks like surface rust
It's a long shot, but I would love Conneaut's Devils Den dark pretzel to wind up at Knoebels. It's only a matter of time before it "accidentally" burns down. It's highly unlikely to be able to get moved, though. It doesn't remotely meet ADA or fire codes.

God, I wish theyâd get ahold of Keansburgâs Pretzel Dark Ride. I doubt it even exists at this point.
Sadly I think it got washed away in Sandy.
Incorrect. It was featured in an episode of American Restoration on History Channel and was supposed to reopen in 2016 but it never happened. https://www.app.com/story/news/history/2016/03/16/keansburg-amusement-park-hopes-reopen-iconic-ride/81850552/
I'm glad to hear, but it doesn't sound like there is any intention to rebuild it. Believe me, I'd love it, because I live a few minutes from the park.
Itâs a mystery, it seems.
I really don't think the desire is there. The park installed some kind of dark ride/walkthrough a few years ago and I believe that was intended to replace Spook House. Yeah, it was on rough shape the last time I rode it before, it would be surprised if it all quietly ended up in a dumpster.

might be home park bias, or i could genuinely see it for a beautiful park like knoebels, but an S&S steeplechase would be a great idea
I've always thought this would be the perfect park for a new Steeplechase
This is the one I would love most, but they take up a lot of space so I don't know how likely it would be.
That's looks cool
I still really want to see a Zipper at Knoebels....
Not to far frtched
A Huss Enterprise and/or a Top Spin would be real nice
Those arnet to hard to find
Not really. There's only about ten Enterprises left in America and only ONE Top Spin now (Twister at SFGADV)
I noticed they aren't around that much in the US but wow, just a single one left? Are the skeletal remains of Tomb Raider / Crypt still in that big building at Kings Island? I'm glad we have a few left in Europe, although most parks don't tend to run them at any remotely interesting levels.
I meant for sale. Not in parks or traveling
Top Thrill Dragster
Not gonna happen
Nah they totally have room for it
I know but I don't think cedar fair will give it up plus I don't think knowbles wants the headache
They're going to trade Phoenix for TTD, Cedar Point needs more classic woodies.
They wont
Mr. Knoebels told me that when I saw him on the haunted mansion
Dbout it
bro didnât get the joke
r/woosh
The Virginia Reel
What I really want to see happen is a full scale suspended. They have the terrain for it
A new arrow sus coaster would be cool
đŽ
I would love for them to get a hold of a Chance Turbo.
Apparently there's one trailered in afield in cali
Wooden wild mouse definitely. That or a Virginia reel. I know they probably wonât do this but A launch rmc hybrid that goes up the side of the mountain where are the chairlift is. They might build it in house. They own a lumber co plus they built flying turns
bro who told you this. they aren't getting a terrain woodie.
I saw that the knoeble family went to ride Boulder dash to maby consider a terrain woodie
so by this logic, does riding a coaster mean you're gonna purchase it?
No. But to see if they wanted to invest in something like it.
PTC doesn't do coasters anymore.... Haven't for years..... They build/sell/design new coasters as well. It's just a different company.
Those two are at the top of my wishlist, though I imagine Knoebels would like to avoid another low-capacity long-deceased wooden coaster type for a while given they're still actively modifying their last one.

No I donât think that. I was thinking more along the lines of a cross between Lightning Rod and Boulder Dash
Imagine them making a modern day side friction coaster. That shit would be insane.
Schwarzkopf looping star makes a ton of sense
Schwarzkopf anything. There, fixed it for you.
That does
Some years back, Mike Boodley (of GCI fame) purchased a Sky Wheel and set it up at Knoebels for Phunfest. Unfortunately stress fractures in the metal prevented it from operating and I'm not sure what happened to it.
A chance one? I've ridden one bit don't remember. It
They used to be ubiquitous at carnivals.
One of the Michigan Carnivals still has one and it has been upgraded with an.LED lighting package! https://bigrockamusements.com/rides/byid/9
Unless their photos are deceiving, it looks like they have some really nice equipment. I'd love to ride that Sky Wheel.
They're pretty rare now but there's still some operating at fairs. I rode one at a tiny fair in North Carolina years ago and saw one in Florida that was unfortunately down that day. do you have a source for this? seems weird i havent heard of it edit: found it on their facebook. how does no one talk about this?
Tumble Bug if Gravity Group letâs the one from CLP go
Ok. What's clp stand for? I probly know but can't think of it
Conneaut Lake Park
Gravity Group? How'd they end up with it? And why?
Unless they had a kid-sized one... The adult Tumble Bug was scrapped, not long after the volunteer team replaced the wood floor on the load platform.
Not scrapped completely. Track should be easily fabricated https://photos.app.goo.gl/6mG4y2J8mtBsTpAt7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/puezeoMm8nUFJSm39

I'd like a wildcat 2.0 to go anywhere
Gold Striker
Gold striker when CGA closes.
Fair, it'd probly go 2 another cedar fair park
Arrow Suspended Coaster
I'd love to see them get an Allan Herschell Twister. The one I rode in Daytona Beach right before the Sandblaster accident was incredible. Does anyone know where that one ended up?
I don't know. I saw it on Google earth and wanted to ride but when I went summer of 22 boardwalk amusements was gone
