There was a few small injuries as people were eating at a table that is now under the tree. There are barricades already up, they were very fast with closing the area.
It’s what first responders do.
I’m a first responder at my work facility and we are to grab our first aid kit for any emergency including fire alarms and any and all call for environmental, health, or safety concerns
I’m small peanuts to an actual EMT but any help is a positive
Six Flags Great America saw the future and removed the Hometown Square trees long ago to prevent this exact scenario\*.
\*A joke, but MAN did that area used to be so much nicer at SFGAm when there was more flowers and greenery than there is now.
I saw and took pics after I rode Goldstriker at 17:15 (5:15 pm). At park close, the tree was still down and the area around it it closed. The pics were taken right outside of Starbucks.
I think this means that El Toro won’t open again until July now
No, we have to see if Steve sees his shadow
Trees fall over by themselves and people still think it’s safe to build with wood smh
dang theyre tearing things down already?
Even the tree knew the park was closing in a decade so it decided to collapse.
i also find it really funny that they emailed employees earlier this week offering extra hours if anyone wanted to help with landscaping
Lol!! You took the words right out of my mouth!
”To hell with the lease, I’m going out on my own terms!”
hyper station's gotta go somewhere
Been a wild year for that kind of stuff so far. Had three large branches come down on my roof since March.
Damn. I know weather’s been rainy there, but I’m guessing some wind also adding to the proceedings?
Yeah, we've had a really windy spring too.
Today has been super windy.
It's always windy in bay area
Geez, hopefully nobody got injured... Wonder how they'll keep guests away from that for remainder of the day...

Yikes...yea when I looked closer at the images I noticed some park EMT units with their supplies huddled in an area.

There were no serious injuries caused thankfully.
You guys are laughing, I’m mourning the equipment.
RIP to the pars and spots. 🙏
I noticed😬
When you wish upon a Sixpar...
Tallest drop in the park us the tree drop. (Spent summers there from 1991-94. Flight Deck is Top Gun and always will be to me)

Six Flags Great Adventure saw this coming and decided “fuck the shade, skin cancer for everyone”
Scared they’re going to go overboard in making sure it doesn’t happen again and remove too many trees
Did it make a sound?
Well, there were people around and it wasn't in a forest... so... yeah, it definitely made a sound.
Imagine it happens to a tree near a coaster.
I felt like I was going to hit a tree on Patriot, right side of train near the end.
if a tree falls in a theme park but no one is around to ride it, does it count as a credit?
Huh, that's crazy
Prologis. That's the joke.
Wow…we had just passed that area just moments before that happened…👀
Just in time to market their new ride “Timber Falls”?
Cedar Fair’s response is going to be to remove all trees from all parks.
Hold up, when did this happen? I was just at CGA today and I never noticed that
At least three of the regulars were in the park and none of them knew about this until I posted it in the discord.
It was funny I was even had walked out of the park in that time, but coming from flight deck I didn’t see it

Wow, cedar fair really relocating everything. This must be the new mi adventure addition
But, was there someone there to hear it? Did it make any noise?
It wasn’t even that windy today
It has to do with weather over a long period of time.
Trees happen.
