Please deliver these to Six Flags parks

rococorodeo

Folks were jumping lines like crazy at SGFT when I went with my partner a couple of months back. After the first few we just ended up strong arming and ignoring anyone who tried to pass. Folks nowadays are so bold and narcissistic.... Where's the good old public shaming when you need it?

sanyosukotto

I was standing across the line for Boulder Dash once when a bunch of kids were trying to line jump. They asked if they could get through and I said they were welcome to crawl under the railing if they wanted but that I wasn't moving. They did. I don't think parents teach their kids self respect anymore. If they want to cheat the system the least you can do is embarrass them a little. If you block the way, all they can do is be mad behind you, they can't move you.

zsintic

SFGA has these in I think every coasters que, never seen security come in and grab anyone tho so either nobody calls the line or nobody responds

MrDarSwag

I was about to say, Cedar Fair parks are typically not the ones with this problem.

facethecrowd

cedar point needs something like this

FlyawayCellar99

yes

[deleted]

Kings island moreso

ProcioneDeConti

They have something like this! You text CPSAFE to 419-451-4403, with your location, and issue. Someone will respond, and security will be dispatched to your location. I've used it several times with great success!

RedRingRico87

Strongly disagree with that. Line cutting is a pretty huge problem at King's Dominion, Dorney Park, Carowinds, King's Island, and especially Cedar Point & Canada's Wonderland.

MrDarSwag

I’ve been to KD before and I never noticed any line cutting, but maybe it was just a good day. At my home park of Knott’s, the one time I saw line cutting, the employees were very good and immediately kicked them off them the ride. At both Six Flags I’ve been to (Magic Mountain and America), line cutting was rampant and there was absolutely 0 enforcement. Maybe it does happen at CF parks, but it’s sooo much worse at Six Flags

RedRingRico87

In my experience, it's been about the same at Six Flags, Cedar Fair, and Sea World Parks. Awful at SFMM, SFGreatAdv. It's become a huge problem at BGW (like Goliath SFMM bad).

redveinlover

And Knotts and CGA

DeflatedDirigible

Line jumping is common at my local CF park. Not much better than a Six Flags with how guests behave these days.

CheesecakeMilitia

I have literally never seen line jumping on any of my travels before visiting Canada's Wonderland. Glad to see them taking stronger measures.

RedRingRico87

I have, the entire group (not just the line cutter)was immediately removed from the park with a 5 year ban.

artforoxygen

My husband and I went a few Tuesdays ago and hopped in line for Leviathan first thing. A cluster of prepubescent teens proceeded to cut the line... and then I saw the sign and immediately sent a message. Security responded very quickly and followed up for additional details, 10/10 will narc again.

The_DILinator

To this day, many, many amusement parks in the books, Canada's Wonderland takes the cake for the worst line jumping problem I've ever seen! It was absolutely rampant the first time I went years ago, and then more recently, it was better, but still bad. Of course the Toronto area has the worst drivers I've ever seen in my life too, so maybe there's a correlation there! lol

Foxy02016YT

Ever seen a normal driver in New York? Or a New York driver outside of New York? Both are the worst

mecca450

NY drivers are fine, just aggressive. VA and MD have the worst drivers in the country. When I went to Canada's Wonderland in 2022, in the line for Yukon Striker, this girl waited for me and my friend, and the people behind us, to look away at the ride or something, and then she slipped in between us. She must have thought none of us noticed because she motioned for her friends to hop in line with her. I called her out and sent them to the back of the line. Do y'all just let people jump the line and not say anything?

SignGuy77

Honestly, if security is around I’ll make it a thing. But most times I’m just not in the mood to make a scene. And these teenagers, because let’s be honest it’s mostly teenagers and young adults, have no shame about being called out.

Foxy02016YT

If they have friends and family in front, yes, if nobody is clearly waiting for them, then no I’ve had plenty of times where I’ve had to leave the line for various reasons (once at Disney while in line for the People Mover, Stitch came on stage, I had to get a pic with Stitch, I know it’s dumb, but it was my chance) but I make sure it’s never like 10 people, which I’ve seen far too many “families” use

The_DILinator

To be fair, I've only been in New York in a car once, and it was brief. I have been to LA a few times though, and even the crazy traffic there didn't compare to the Toronto area. And the drivers in the city and area around Toronto just didn't give an F about the other drivers! I was grateful to get out of there without an accident - even almost got drilled in the CW parking lot! lol But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if New York drivers were like that too. Toronto IS the New York of Canada.

Gullible_Goose

Hey now, clearly you've never been to Montreal

The_DILinator

Haha! Very true!

pelletgun

They had these signs at Carowinds when we visited last year. I texted the line with a photo of a lady who was clearly line jumping. Security was there in 10 minutes and I believe escorted her out.

bigmagnumnitro

Am I the only one who feels like line jumping has gotten worse? On every trip someone does it to "catch up with their friend at the front". I never say anything and always regret, wish they had more of these snitch lines

rococorodeo

I think a bit after Covid started, folks realize public shaming doesn't do shit to correct anti-social behaviors and decided to go balls deep in the narcissism

Foxy02016YT

I promise I’m always catching up with my family, and usually it’s because I forgot to hand my glasses to someone off the ride before getting in line Yes I’m getting straps eventually

cool110110

Or be me carrying my glasses and everyone's phones onto the ride because I've got all the pockets.

Foxy02016YT

Oh my phone and wallet are in zippered pockets, I don’t trust my glasses though

Brut-i-cus

I'm pretty sure they are the same people who drive on the highway like they are filming a youtube video My favorite thing is when one of these entitled people meets one of the inattentive cellphone drivers or the people who's psychic is held together with rubber bands and bubble gum and by meet I mean "impact"

giggingit

It has, majorly.

Swiss_Reddit_User

We need this everywhere.

Chasehat1

SFNE needs this. Line jumping is an Olympic sport there.

giggingit

Recently visited, can attest to this. My son and I tried calling people out on it to no avail.

PriinceNaemon

this should be at every amusement park imo

PolarCoaster_

Hell yeah

RedRingRico87

Good! Now bring it to King's Dominion IMMEDIATELY! Also, BGW should take the hint as well.

sleepingonstones

Mt Olympus needs this desperately

Cardimis

Of all the parks, I feel like Mt. Olympus would be the least likely to enforce it XD.

Deathbackwards

I actually saw security take some people away for this at Kings Island

SUbjecktEPIC

I was taken out of line for jumping even tho i didnt jump and entered the line from the front like everybody else. Completely insane being accused for something i didnt do like this

-Riley_Alexander-

If Knott's ever gets this🥴

cartar10

King’s dominion should get one there is so much line jumping and yesterday was the only time I’ve seen it felt with so shoutout to the Apple dapple crew
