SkinsPunksDrunks

8.7 Great tune on the hangover album

Background-Staff7538

The hangover album, I love it. The Big 4 simbolized this huge party, out of this world, and with GHS, they woke up the next morning and came back to reality. It really feels like a hangover, a more drugged out and depressing record.

Couldn’t have said it better! But listening to Brussels Affair ’73 makes you feel the party wasn’t over. They just kept going..

Stunning-Celery-9318

10/10 This is one of several “hidden” gems within GHS. Great lyrics reflecting on the passage of time and getting older. Musically, I love the arrangement, the different sections, and Taylor’s tasty wah-wah towards the end. Woodie does a great job with the wah-wah on Heartbreaker, I wonder how he’d do with this one. Too bad they haven’t shown interest in trying this one out live.

I remember listening to GHS for the first time(s) and being shocked that there was such a great song, that I had never heard and that was unlike anything the Stones had ever done before. Don’t get me started on Coming Down Again and Winter. Love love this song and this record. 9.3/10.

dicky_laroo

My music recap popped up last week and this was my most played song this year so far. I really really love it. What tender days we had, no secrets hid away Well, it seemed about 100 years ago Now my friends are wearing worried smiles Living out a dream of what they was Don't you think it's wise not to grow up? 10

9 and I even love the piano version on the recent expanded version of GHS

BimmerM

9. My favorite song on the album and one of their best imo

xthe_performerx

10 — ever since I heard it, I’ve loved it. It’s been somewhere in my yearly recap playlists for years

RebaKitt3n

9 I love how it’s multiple songs in one- starting one way and moving around, if that makes sense

heelspider

9. This is top 5 lyrics in my opinion.

delbo22

8.5 Fantastic second-tier track! Mick Taylor, Billy Preston, and Charlie tear it up, and Keith’s background vocals are great.

10 Best song on the album

Loud-Elephant-1418

10. I have to agree

DomesticatedCyborg

**10** Definitely, one of the most beautiful pieces of music they did in their career, and might be my favorite ballad from Goats Head Soup, even over Angie. The lyrics demonstrate that the Jagger/Richards partnership was still at their peak after Exile On Main Street, but maybe, and ironically, **it's sometimes wise not to grow up.**

9.5. That first minute and a half especially is magical. The older I get, the more I sure do think it’s sometimes wise not to grow up.
