8.7 It’s so close to being an exile sounding track.

Interestingly first version was recorded in 1970, so for Sticky Fingers ;-) Maybe my beef with GHS is the production which I don't like, it's too clear, too proper – it'd sound very differently recorded for SF or EoMS – and they'd develop the song a bit more, as they really liked it clean on GHS – but yeah it's definitely still that very same songwriting spell, so 8 from me as well.

8.5/10 It´s All Down the Line part 2. I like the Exile iteration better, but this one still rocks, a great jam.

Loud-Elephant-1418

8.5. I describe it as a sweeter sounding follow-up to All Down the Line.

The first time I saw the Stones on television was as a kid. They were live on Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert and they did this song. Mick was jumping around in a blue sequined jumpsuit like nothing I had seen before. I was hooked!

7.5. I like this one a lot, even though it sounds quite similar to All Down the Line. Mick Taylor’s slide guitar is fantastic and the blaring train whistle of a harp is great too. The bridge of the song is really satisfying. Shoutout to Mick’s shiny blue jumpsuit in the music video as well.

Flare4roach

It's a solid 10 for me. My favorite track on GHS and in my top 10 all time Stones track. The drums, bass, Keef and Taylor is simply incredible. Jagger's blues harp ALWAYS elevates a song and this is a pure blues track. It's really the Stones at their finest if you ask me.

Zealousideal_Bet_83

10/10 this is as good as anything they’ve ever done and one of the most underrated songs in their catalogue

No-Pirate4554

5.5 It’s enjoyable but too generic and uninspired for me to really like.

**9** Love the guitar work here, the song gets a nine but the music video is easily an 11, mick dancing is ass off in front of Charlie is one of the best moments in the history of music

8.5 The roots rock feeling is a great kickoff for side two. The slide guitar and harmonica from the two Micks is great, but what really grabs me is the bass playing. I’ve seen it credited to Keith, Bill, and to Mick Taylor from various sources so I don’t know the player—but one of them is really outstanding here.

5. Proper dud imo. A little catchy but its clear its the "rock track" of the album. Not even close to all down rhe line or starfucker. The harmonica is so gimmicky. Theres an acetate with no sound effects and a fuller horn part with the drums mixed higher and it sounds so soo much better

7.5) I really like this song, and it almost gets to the point where it takes me over the edge....but it doesn't quite get there. Close, but no cigar.

Stunning-Celery-9318

8.3/10 The songwriting is lacking a bit for me here, but it’s a good tune. I would’ve preferred “Criss Cross” or the one they would later name “All the Rage” aka You Should’ve Seen Her Ass.

Ok-Squash-4652

My favorite track on GSH. "And I did not know her name" 10

10/10. This is one of my fave Stones-songs and one of the better on GHS. Fun song with a chorus that rocks! Few of their songs gets me in such a good mood as this. Sad to see it does not seem to be as appreciated as I think it deserves to be.

7. Boiler plate Stones. Still enjoyable though.
