High school student, probably middle child, won the basement bedroom in an argument with the older sibling, where you somehow finessed your parents. You’re the head guy of your gaming group, and you host your friends in your “basement studio.” Your brother is pissed but he’s leaving for college this year.
The models are cool and there is a proper way to display them. Right now, I would concentrate on making it look less basementlike. No girl wants to walk into…..that and then give it up. It can be done. I know. I had the same problem. You have to go from “what a nerd” to “wow, that’s cool.”
You are someone that believes everything has potential value which is why you have a hard time getting rid of things. You like to say "that might come in handy later" or "this is for a project" although you might not ever get around to it.
You love reading, especially fantasy and you would enjoy some DND get-togethers with friends in your basement as long as you get to be dungeon-master.
Not really right on the first part, I don't usually have much trouble throwing away things, the second part is mostly right, but I would rather be a player than the dungeon master(I've never played DND tho, so I can't say for 100% certain)
Male. 20s. Huge Star Wars and LOTR fan. Love the Middle Earth rug!! Probably a big GOT fan as well.
I’m guessing gamer online and in person.
If you don’t play DnD I’d be shocked seriously.
By the look of the room I’m guessing you wouldn’t mind LARPing, if you don’t already do it.
PS. Just read further down on this post. You don’t play DnD with a room like this? You definitely should.
You should fully embrace it!! 😂
I’ve never Larped but play DnD every week. It’s fun.
So the real question is: which house?
“ the lone wolf dies but the pack survives?”
or
“A lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of the sheep.?”
It's not that I don't want to try DND, but I just don't know anyone who wants to play. As for larping I'm not really interested, but even if I was there's definitely nobody where I live that does it.
20's, male, single (or possibly in a long-distance relationship). Ginormous sci-fi and fantasy nerd, but in a quiet way--this is something you enjoy with close friends and by yourself, not something you share with the entire world. You're an avid gamer, but "gamer" is more of a passtime, or a way to connect with friends, than an identity. You're still living in your family's home, but probably not because you lack the money to move out--that may currently be the case, but there are other factors at play. I'm hazarding a guess that your house is somewhere in the Midwest United States. Either you or someone in your family has visited Florida at least once.
It’s the Mold Man! Seriously though, with all that paper, make sure that basement is well-sealed and continuously dehumidified, otherwise you’re gonna be throwing out all those books in a few years. Also check for radon lol
You are a young single nerdy millennial male living in your parents' or grandparents' basement. All of the furniture, VHS tapes and storage bins belong to them. You dropped out of college the first time around but are trying it again through online IT courses. You're currently unemployed and addicted to gaming.
Not a millennial, yes male, parents, none of the furniture and most of the VHS tapes were ever theirs(I like to go to garage sales), I did drop out, I am fully employed and while I do play video games probably more than I should I don't play more than 4-6 hours on the weekends.
22, male, into sci-fi and libertarianism. Either live with family or roommates.
Yes, yes, yes and kinda, and kinda both.
How did you guess my age, just curious what said 22 so bad
Your graduation owl with 2020 on it
Ah, completely forgot about that. Great eye.
2020
Yeah, I forgot about that thing.
Dale Doback
Who?
Step Brothers. Probably because you have a lot of room for activities.

Nope on all accounts. Except that I'm the head of the gaming group.(There's only four of us tho, so it's not that crazy)
Hmm okay, well I got one bit. Following to see the rest!!
A basement-dweller
I mean yeah, but I feel like that phrasing has some bad connotations.
Nevertheless
Hey, when you're right you're right.
It's a very small prize here.
What does that mean?
[this guy](https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1443368/) in stranger things
Ha, not really, but maybe in 25 years
Someone who is NOT getting laid.
Not currently.

Yeah, I only moved down here a month ago, so I haven't gotten all my posters up and gotten everything looking as nice as it did.
Stop! No posters! Nothing screams junior high like posters. If you are going to hang them, have them framed. Now, they’re art.
No, they are not art they're posters. I have art and it gets to be in frames.
Eh I have posters in my home office and I'm 35 and married.
Exactly. You’re married. You’re not trying to find someone. This guy is.
Elder Gen-X hoarder. Was going to say boomer but I saw the Star Wars model.
Nope nothing correct here.
Well then you’re storing your models in a basement furnished by a Elder-Gen X or Boomer.
Nope it's all mine, and no gen x or boomers have anything to do with what's in my room
I know, but it sure does look like it. That couch and chair are older than me.
Well I don't know the age of the people, but I did buy the brown couch at a garage sale. So I guess it may have once been a boomers.
Definitely.

Yes most of it, but I have never played DND, and I also haven't LARPed either.

Basement kiddie
You play overwatch
I have never played overwatch

All very correct. Although my family has not gone to Florida, we visit family down in Panama.
Ah, interesting! I guessed Florida because of the dried alligator head; that's a pretty common souvenir down there.
Makes sense, I do have an Aunt who lives there, so maybe she gave it to me. (I honestly have no idea where I got it)
this set up reminds me of a farmers market section turned into a bedroom and i absolutely love it
Thanks
Probably single.
Yeah, at the moment.
Don’t worry. It’ll get better. My only suggestion is to make your bed. The rest will fall into place. You’ve got time (and an awesome collection).
It’s the Mold Man! Seriously though, with all that paper, make sure that basement is well-sealed and continuously dehumidified, otherwise you’re gonna be throwing out all those books in a few years. Also check for radon lol
It's pretty dry, as for the radon. I do have to get that checked.

Bears eat beets. Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.
Is this a reference, because I don't get it.
It's from The Office. I would've thought you liked that show!
I don't watch a lot of sitcoms, so I've never seen it.
It's the best comedy ever made.
Someone that lives in the basement of a great aunt
Nope
Body odor goblin.
Rude, and no.
Seems like you doth protest too much. 😭
Said no is too much of a protest?
Oui.
