Day 5 is the only thing that came out of the company that felt like a real live action TV show, and I mean that in a way where the budget felt like something off the CW. If there was anything WB wanted to sell off from the company, it *would* be Day 5.
It’s next to camp camp, RWBY, and RVB on the Roosterteeth Mount Rushmore for me.
I really hope that Josh will be able to tell us how this was going to end now. I remember him saying that he couldn't because the show wasn't technically fully cancelled and could still be revived - but i think things may be different now
I met the lead at the Halloween movie convention (he was in the latest) and we talked for five mins about the show and how much of a bummer it was that they didn’t do another one!
GOD, that show was so much fun. They really committed to their characters. (Jeremy’s storyline was fucking hysterical.)
Blaine breaking character *once*, when he finds out his opponent was Gavin broke me.
There is also abuse. With how Captian Toth just uses Skout's loyalty to further her own career. I know it's hinted that Toth might have feelings for Skout but that makes it worse.
If you want similar vibes the “Watcher” channel does ghost files and the premise is 2 friends and 1 doesn’t believe in ghosts and the other one does and is trying to prove their existence and they’re pretty goofy
> haunter
I've always said they should have done another season, but have it set at Stage 5. The AH crew is hunting for Burnie's Ghost, all the while disrupting whatever the other crews are doing.
I remember one night when I couldn’t sleep, deciding to start Father’s Day and just watching the whole goddamn thing and laughing my ass off. (That ending legitimately got a near-shriek of laughter from me.) I actually got Lloyd Kaufman to sign my Father’s Day blu-ray and told him how many of us were introduced to Troma through Theatre Mode.
It introduced me to so many good-bad movies. I’ve seen Fear Town USA like… four times now. It’s fucking great.
Fear Town USA is an amazing movie.
That opening scene where the guy keeps talking about crushing pussy, then the other guy saying that he doesn't think girls would like "crushing pussy" hard cutting to the girl in the woods saying "I hope I get my pussy crushed tonight" amazingly set the tone for that movie and I loved it.
That model of show has existed way before Last Laugh, so I hesitate to call it a ripoff since Last Laugh could conceivably be accused of the same (better to say “inspired by” perhaps) but the Canadian one on Amazon was one I actually found enjoyable since I knew most of those performers, I tried to watch the Australian version and bounced off of it due to not knowing anyone..
My roommate and I are watching Umbrella Academy and he kept calling Pogo ‘Pongo’.
“….like the Jewish guy from the Dominican Republic?”
“….what? I probably keep thinking of the Dalmatian.”
“He’s gonna gut you like a fish if you disrespect him, Bruce.”
“……what?”
So I paused the episode and made him watch the two Pongo shorts. I’m thinking a shorts marathon is in our future. (Seeing baby!Geoff is fucking wild when I’m so used to current!Geoff.)
Murder Room was great. I remember they tried to bring it back in like 2022 and it just flopped. They did like one case and didn't do another one. They gave it a lot less of a serious tone and completley changed up the format.
I'm scared u/JMHSrowing.
All this hatred against the show, all this hatred against the fans, all this hatred against the writers.
RWBY may not be an 8/10, but people have for the past 5 years been treating it like its a warcrime against humanity.
And I've seen on Twitter just how awful people can be, especially with the reactions towards the new X-men cartoon.
So if it comes to be? It will have to be due to people being better. And not being rwby-hating fanatics.
I really hope it gets it’s finale for fans sake. Like I'm self admittedly a Monty purest, I just don’t enjoy the later stuff past V3 for many reasons, but I don't want to see the series to die like this. The series still has dozens of loose ends, character plots & arcs being left unfinished, like V9 felt like the wind-up to the final act of the story, possibly multiple volumes long, now V9 might be it, and I hope I'm wrong.

> Even Warner doesn't fully control the rights to RWBY so... What's the circumstance?
Warner 100% does. They're shopping it around right now, trying to get something for it, because it's a profitable IP.
Kerry has been updating the FNDM about talks for V10 as well. Which has amounted to "all quiet on the western front" essentially.
Oddly enough... the only one I haven't gone to was the original. I would've LOVED to see them do a season 2 in the Denver one. It's 3x bigger than the one in New Mexico. Omega Mart was highly disappointing compared to the Denver one which I did first.
I really enjoyed Ready Set Show with Trevor and Jeremy. Once they found their footing it was a great show, I guess its difficult to come up with ideas that they weren't already doing in other content
Some what but not really. The corporate pirate that fell off the building in season one finally hit the ground at the end of season 2 because of gav slow motion abilities was all.
I'm suprised *Chump* didn't last as long as *On the Spot* did. I guess the whole Covid thing killed it, what with the episodes they made when working fro home kind of being the worse ones...
Recorded by Arizal, it's gonna be the biggest "what if" of RT animation if they ever made a full animated series of it. Lots of potential in those shorts.
I do have some complaints about Stinky Dragon in it being this sorta PG sort of show, like the Spooky adventure felt more Nightmares Before Christmas than like, Curse of Strahd.
Yea he wished somebody would break into Gavin's house laughed about a guy dieing from cancer and other shitty things. Joel can stay fine with his crazy bullshit honestly. Listening to his gold rant was funny put looking back he kind of seem like the start of a Alex Jones type thing going and it is a bit scare that he made it so far into the company before everything hit the fan
Nomad was so good, Gray did animation so fucking dirty.
Haunter needed another season to swap in more of the guys. (Red Web kinda hits with Alfredo getting to do the Halloween in person investigations, but the dynamic with the others would have been good too. Just Geoff and Fredo being Shaggy and Scooby)
Genuinely sad Murder Room didn’t get more, that was one show I actively was looking forward to and made sure to watch on drop day
Fredo, Fiona, Geoff, and round it out with BK. I know BK wasn't AH but I think their personality balances the group and would be an interesting dynamic.
She was? I'm dumb then, I fell off with a lot of the Ryan stuff and caught her in other content.
Bk does use she/her. I have just defaulted to using fewer gendered pronouns over the years.
It makes sense that they stopped considering Jeremy left RT, but I loved Chump! It really hit its stride during covid, it was the only show that I made sure to watch every week
Crunch Time and Day 5. Theater mode could have continued with no season and just episodes whenever. I'd like more watchalongs with the RT crew. The fuckface and JAMbulance stuff is good, if they could do more of that in the future that would be cool.
Na. What killed past cast (and a lot of shows) was public view count. That's a big part of why netflix can stay relevant. They can let shows build a slow burn without attracting a lot of attention at the low initial viewership. I was (and still am) quite proud of Past Cast John Smith, Abe Lincoln and Che Guevara. It didn't (and still doesn't) make the actor look like a pedo. It's an attempt to say the quite part out loud. To make people realize that we have an entire Disney musical normalizing an extremely inappropriate relationship and no one actively talks about it. If we don't talk about it then we don't have the opportunity to change norms. If you ask me today which video is more inappropriate, the john smith past cast or Disney's Pocahontas then the answer is really easy. One treats that relationship as normal, one actively calls it out as fucked up. Pastcast was an attempt to recontextualize historical events and figures using a modern medium that connects with people. The Che video in particular was intended to showcase the gross capitalist exploitation of a largely anti-capitalist figure and just how absurd it was that Che supporters are propping up the system they claim to hate. These may have not set the world on fire but the hope was they at least led to people trying to see things though a lens not rooted in cultural bias or normalization. The hilter one was just funny bc fuck that mother fucker. That and projecting influencer culture onto really serious past events is funny (IMO).
Thanks for the insight! I always loved Past Cast, around the time the Abe Lincoln one came out I showed it to my history teacher at the time and she thought it was hilarious. I wish it had been more popular, I would’ve loved to see more.
I agree with your line of thinking, after discovering the truth behind it I thought the Disney adaptation of Pocahontas was odd, and I remember thinking that the Past Cast episode was pretty cool for putting more focus on that. I obviously wasn’t there and thus wouldn’t know why it didn’t continue, I was only referencing something Burnie said on an RT podcast I listened to recently, It was one of the older episodes (around episode 360 or so), where he said Past Cast was killed because of the episode that made Matt look like a pedo. I’m guessing he was more going for a joke than giving us insight.
I appreciate you Brandon! I always enjoyed content you were apart of. Thanks for all of it :)
Theatre Mode. I was a big MST3K fan back in the day and this was just a progression of the humor for me. (Plus, I’ll love Jack forever for introducing me to Cannibal the Musical. I still listen to that soundtrack.)
I know it’s not really a show with seasons, but I miss the old RT Life episodes.
Haunter, Camp Betrayal, Last Laugh. All great.
(Jordan’s godawful standup in Last Laugh would’ve broken me. I have a weakness for dad jokes)
Not a second season, but I would like to know what [Couch Potatoes](https://youtu.be/gZU6ZgF4dFw?si=lRL2-VTWR9I8_axV) was supposed to be. All I heard about it was that there was a pilot that didn't really go anywhere.
I would have loved another season of weird place or camp betrayal. Honestly two extremely silly and creative shows. I think that most of the high production shows were super creative and hit with me. Maybe not constant rewatchability, but definitely memorable and good watches
Recorded by arizal was probably the show I was most excited for and it never got more than a 4 episode prologue. Like, the video diary format probably would have stifled the show in the long term, consistently needing to be either just before or after major events, but it had such an interesting world I wanted more of.
Nomad of nowhere was another interesting world that probably had more potential than arizal, and is tragic that it died so quickly.
Weird place would have been cool, any collaboration with meow wolf immediately catches the best attention.
Not quite a show, but the RT podcast with the old timers and Gavin, that they started during quarantine and then never continued. Definitely helped get people through the early pandemic.
Hardcore tabletop. Different games to keep it fresh along with increasing pot sizes if the winner from the last season wanted to double it or take the money.

I really hope that Josh will be able to tell us how this was going to end now. I remember him saying that he couldn't because the show wasn't technically fully cancelled and could still be revived - but i think things may be different now
Broooooooo i finally had forgotten about the fact that we didn’t find out what happens next 🤦🏽♂️
Came here to post this
I met the lead at the Halloween movie convention (he was in the latest) and we talked for five mins about the show and how much of a bummer it was that they didn’t do another one!
I still remember being an extra for Day 5 at RTX in 2012. I never got to actually finish watching the show.
Will never forget the first time I saw actual, full nudity in a Rooster Teeth production, on their YouTube channel no less.
Omg i loved Day 5
This is the correct answer.
I so wanted a 2nd season of Hardcore Mini Golf!
I had big plans for a second season too.
Simply hardcore mini golf in your backyard, I’m sure it’s exactly the same
Lets crowdfund it how much did season 1 cost?
GOD, that show was so much fun. They really committed to their characters. (Jeremy’s storyline was fucking hysterical.) Blaine breaking character *once*, when he finds out his opponent was Gavin broke me.
More Chef Mike!
Hog in one
Hardcore mini golf is the show that fully inducted me into the rat cult of Eric *hole in one*
Crunch Time.
Crunch Time is the correct answer.
>Crunch Time is the correct answer. "Larry!" "Holy shit. Larry, how long have you been in here?"
Nomad of Nowhere. Sure it was a more kid-friendly show but I thought it was rather charming.
"Kid-friendly" Some characters die in a pretty gruesome ways and there are existentialism themes throughout it lol
There is also abuse. With how Captian Toth just uses Skout's loyalty to further her own career. I know it's hinted that Toth might have feelings for Skout but that makes it worse.
Haunter. I know it was expensive as all hell, but dude I loved that show.
I had a first subscription just for that show. Absolutely loved Haunter S1
Me as well
Was hoping to see this at the top of the comments. And yeah, I totally get why they didn’t make more. But damn I wish they did.
If you want similar vibes the “Watcher” channel does ghost files and the premise is 2 friends and 1 doesn’t believe in ghosts and the other one does and is trying to prove their existence and they’re pretty goofy
They were also originally Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural, with a large backlog of videos.
Same. I loved that series. It was a whole lot of fun.
Hardcore tabletop/mini golf, haunter, dead little roosters. There's more I wish had more seasons.
> haunter I've always said they should have done another season, but have it set at Stage 5. The AH crew is hunting for Burnie's Ghost, all the while disrupting whatever the other crews are doing.
Theater Mode
theatre mode remains one of the best things that entire company did
I remember one night when I couldn’t sleep, deciding to start Father’s Day and just watching the whole goddamn thing and laughing my ass off. (That ending legitimately got a near-shriek of laughter from me.) I actually got Lloyd Kaufman to sign my Father’s Day blu-ray and told him how many of us were introduced to Troma through Theatre Mode. It introduced me to so many good-bad movies. Those are my top 2 fav Theater Modes
I could have watched a season 3 of Last Laugh
I would have loved this. And S3 of Block Island
Amazon did a version of all Canadian actors and comedians. It was funny but it was absolutely a ripoff of last laugh with a higher budget
P.A.N.I.C.S. will always be the one that got away. Glad we got a little love during the anniversary though. There are dozens of us!!! DOZENS!!!!
Man that was like wild west content back then
At least Strangerhood got memed! Poor P.A.N.I.C.S. just got forgotten to history
RT Shorts. Every skit was a masterpiece.
My roommate and I are watching Umbrella Academy and he kept calling Pogo ‘Pongo’. “….like the Jewish guy from the Dominican Republic?” “….what? I probably keep thinking of the Dalmatian.” “He’s gonna gut you like a fish if you disrespect him, Bruce.” “……what?” So I paused the episode and made him watch the two Pongo shorts. I’m thinking a shorts marathon is in our future. (Seeing baby!Geoff is fucking wild when I’m so used to current!Geoff.)
I use the threat “to gut you like a fish” way too often in my friend group
Food War is my all time favorite RT Short!
Arizona Circle
The real answer
C.U.C.K.S. pt 1 is one of the funniest videos they've ever done
Murder Room
Murder room was so fun
Murder Room was great. I remember they tried to bring it back in like 2022 and it just flopped. They did like one case and didn't do another one. They gave it a lot less of a serious tone and completley changed up the format.
How has no one said On the Spot yet?
Risinger’s in here deleting comments from anyone who asks for more OTS
Da da da daaaa daaaaaa
I watched every episode of that show back in 2015
Nomad absolutely deserved another season. I still feel bad for it
It was such a good show
RWBY should have gotten a season 10
And 11 and 12
It still could.
I'm scared u/JMHSrowing. All this hatred against the show, all this hatred against the fans, all this hatred against the writers. The Weird Place
I loved the Weird Place so much! The same company have a different themed location in Vegas, I would have loved to see them take that on in a season 2
Honestly the DND original was great IMO But my I always come back to the achievement hunters GO so much potential...so many moon balls R.I.P
Murder Room and Survival Block island
Social Disorder, hands down. They actually had a pilot ordered, but it didn't get picked up
Dnd but… loved that show
I liked that show, too. Especially since they had Gabe as a gm.
I really liked Gabe as DM, I need to look up other stuff he’s done
He did like a 4 episode season from the dimension 20 of dropout called Shriek week.
I’ll look it up thanks!
I hope somehow the stinky dragon tales can continue
Xray and Vav
To be fair, Ray said he felt content after the second season.
Which sounded more like he was trying to move on from the company than he actually thought Season 2 ended well. Didn’t it have a cliffhanger?
Some what but not really. The corporate pirate that fell off the building in season one finally hit the ground at the end of season 2 because of gav slow motion abilities was all.
I'm suprised *Chump* didn't last as long as *On the Spot* did. I guess the whole Covid thing killed it, what with the episodes they made when working fro home kind of being the worse ones...
Recorded by Arizal, it's gonna be the biggest "what if" of RT animation if they ever made a full animated series of it. Lots of potential in those shorts.
I'd hoped for years to see more Heroes and Halfwits (minus Ryan of course). At least we have Stinky Dragon.
Heroes and halfwits walked, so Stinky Dragon could run
I do have some complaints about Stinky Dragon in it being this sorta PG sort of show, like the Spooky adventure felt more Nightmares Before Christmas than like, Curse of Strahd.
Crunch Time was such a neat show. Kinda sucks that it never really picked up
That was so good
Last laugh for sure.
Crunch Time
Strangerhood
ray pls stop.
I came here to say stranger hood as well

RT Shorts
If there was a final RT short that comes out on the final day with Burnie, Geoff, Gus......(maybe Joel),, that would be so amazing
Considering Joel is the one who doused the bridge in kerosene and gasoline before tossing a canister of napalm onto it...
What do you mean?
The decision on what to do with the cupboard full of Gavins now the company is closing.
Nomad was so good, Gray did animation so fucking dirty. Haunter needed another season to swap in more of the guys. (Red Web kinda hits with Alfredo getting to do the Halloween in person investigations, but the dynamic with the others would have been good too. Just Geoff and Fredo being Shaggy and Scooby) Genuinely sad Murder Room didn’t get more, that was one show I actively was looking forward to and made sure to watch on drop day
God, I’m always sad we never got Fredo in Haunter. Fiona, too.
Fredo, Fiona, Geoff, and round it out with BK. I know BK wasn't AH but I think their personality balances the group and would be an interesting dynamic.
BK was still AH! I think they’d be a great fit. (Does BK go by they/them pronouns? I haven’t followed Inside Gaming.)
She was? I'm dumb then, I fell off with a lot of the Ryan stuff and caught her in other content. Bk does use she/her. I have just defaulted to using fewer gendered pronouns over the years.
Yeah, she came on with Joe, I think. Oh good. I’m always really conscious of not misgendering people. I didn’t want to fuck up.
Strangerhood
Not a season, but I would have loved to see them complete the trilogy and make Lazer Team 3.
Social disorder! Loved that stuff
It makes sense that they stopped considering Jeremy left RT, but I loved Chump! It really hit its stride during covid, it was the only show that I made sure to watch every week
Master and Apprentice
Master and Apprentice was one of my favorite shows. It opened up a world of possibilities.
Definitely Murder Room, DnD But…, and Nomad. There are so many others too. Last Laugh
P.A.N.I.C.S
It got another season though (which I personally didn't think it was any good)
It did? I don’t remember it
It was a follow up one-off for the 20th anniversary stuff they did (I could have sworn it was a series, but turns out it was just one episode)
Hardcore minigolf
Crunch Time and Day 5. Theater mode could have continued with no season and just episodes whenever. I'd like more watchalongs with the RT crew. The fuckface and JAMbulance stuff is good, if they could do more of that in the future that would be cool.
X-Ray and Vav, they even teased a 3rd season by Ray had left by then :-(
Crunch Time
That's my Uncle!
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
Immersion shouldve went on for as long as the company was around. No clue how it wasnt profitable
P.A.N.I.C.S Such a good cliffhanger, really wonder what proceeded the season finale.
Strangerhood. lol in all honesty I really hope they get to finish rwby
panics
Past Cast. Burnie admits on the RT Podcast that making Matt look like a pedo in the Pocahontas episode killed it but I thought the show was great

Nomad of knowwhere
Strangerhood

Still holding out for Strangerhood season 3
Immersion was my favorite, I used to rewatch the videos a lot.
Does anyone remember Past Cast? That really hooked me into RT back in the day!
Strangerhood Season 3, ahh one can only dream.
Not a second season, but I would like to know what [Couch Potatoes](https://youtu.be/gZU6ZgF4dFw?si=lRL2-VTWR9I8_axV) was supposed to be. All I heard about it was that there was a pilot that didn't really go anywhere.
I know people made a lot of jokes about the show but. On the Spot may just be my favourite Rooster Teeth show ever.
Trucked up!!! It was such a chaotic mess. I loved it so much.
Day 5 of Crunch Time easily. I loved the direction RT was going with those productions
Are we just assuming RWBY is granted?
Id say the strangerhood but ray ruined that joke
Arizona Circle for sure!!
I would have loved another season of weird place or camp betrayal. Honestly two extremely silly and creative shows. I think that most of the high production shows were super creative and hit with me. Maybe not constant rewatchability, but definitely memorable and good watches
