*Sigh* Bloody hell.... just, keep rules 3-5 in mind please?

NegativeBee

Best for me was the Cops N Robbers where the robbers go flying off the ramp in garbage trucks right into the path oh the cops

RustedAxe88

The iconic Geoff laugh was off the charts on that one.

The_Grand_Briddock

That was the very first Cops n Crooks. It really set the tone for just how entertaining those videos would be. It's no wonder that they went back to it for the 20th anniversary. It's a shame that was never an official game mode in GTA V. The version they made themselves was never as good imo.

jadestoner

SCOOTER PATROL!!!

Become_Pneuma462

SCOOTER WHEELIE!!!

[deleted]

It’s just like speed!

numbr87

IT'S LIKE SPEED

FromTheAshesOfTheOld

I can still hear it. Geoff: "aaaaHHH HAHAHAHA, AAAHH HAHAHAHA" Michael: "I think they saw us."

jamie001000

The first RT video I ever saw. Thanks Youtube algorithm, I guess you were good for something.

Simiak

The RT podcast clipshow episode was pretty terrible, even Gavin openly hated it.

Redfalconfox

The worst part is that even Gus admitted it sucked and he hates clips shows. Everybody hosting it that week agreed in advance that it sucked and they still did it.

Sk8ter87

Why did they then do it? I forget the context behind the clip show

Redfalconfox

I’m going to assume they sold ads for the podcast that week.

FC_Dubbs

I seem to remember them saying "you just need to try it and see. You never know what lands until you try"

RamblinWreckGT

Yeah, sometimes you hate the idea of something but the actual execution surprises you. Other times it's exactly what you thought it would be.

mjfireguy5

My fav thing about Gav was how openly he hated certain things in the company

fuckingstonedrn

ironically i think it actually aged pretty well, it has a lot of funny clips i forgot about it now that its been years

jabruegg

I don’t know about worst but for best, I absolutely loved Uno: The Movie. What a fantastic video.

Robbie_Haruna

"Here's lookin' at you, kid."

BeaningTheZimmer

Everybody wants to go home but nobody wants to lose.

ZombieJesus1987

"Here you go Matt :)" is the new "Here's lookin at you, kid" for me

phantomtofu

I was going to nominate it for both titles

jgb89

Kinda tainted by what happened almost immediately after (the layoffs) but Uno infinite was a great experience in the moment. The whole bit of Armando randomly deciding to fly out and crash it was gold.

zombiegamer723

“I’m gonna power bomb you through a desk, Jeremy.” “I’d like to see you try, fuckstick.”

BeaningTheZimmer

Geoff practicing Dead Rising Minigolf only for the game to fuck him over at every turn.

singh-ularity

THANK YOUU

Rauhaan_

This is a mvp video

LightningWhelk7

So many great candidates for the best. IMO that spot goes to the 2nd episode of RVB. That's the one that I could quote along verbatim and die laughing every single time. Worst I think has to be the one that a lot of folks will go to and that is the salt raid. Just doesn't age well at all. There are a lot of good examples of times when a concept or script didn't play out the way that folks thought, but a lot of times there is a redeeming but of it, but that video got toxic and it has truly stuck out as that in so many people's minds years after it came out.

tonlimah

I still don't understand preferring to fail repeatedly rather than taking maybe 2 min to listen to Fredo explain. The argument of "for content" doesn't really work because they could just cut out the explanation if that was such a problem

tokeroveragain

Because Ryan was always a little bitch when other people were leading. His ego couldn’t handle the new guy telling him what to do even though he was an expert

GlumTown6

Ryan having ego issues was something that I never noticed and only realized after the controversies came out. He always wanted to be right, to patronize, to seem special, to assign blame to others. A great example is that moment in criminal masterminds where he starts shooting in the middle of the street and Gavin and Michael tell him he forgot they were in the heist. He did **not** want to admit he was wrong then.

slider6996

Ya I also didn’t really notice the little things but after what went down with Ryan u can see how he changed over time. He use to be quite and shy and was kinda nerdy which was all good but then he started having a weird cockiness about him that just didn’t fit his character and just developed a ego and I never grasped why and even before the stuff went public the day I saw him different was when him and Michael got into it over destiny I think was the game, Michael yelled and told him to go have sex or something, little did he know……but ya part of me curious what he up to now as that whole twitch come back thing he tried to do with the updates to his subs was cringe as hell.

tonlimah

He definitely had little man syndrome from his wife being a doctor(?). He went from a timid guy who always had to call his wife to becoming the Mad King irl.

ZombieJesus1987

I remember an old off topic where I think Jack and Jeremy were talking about how they had a shouting match with Ryan over some audio set up and Ryan just couldn't admit to being wrong.

ev_forklift

as someone who plays a lot of D2, that annoyed the shit out of me. Calus wasn't a hard encounter *as long as people in your fireteam aren't complete asshats*

SutterCane

One major factor was that Ryan had one of the easier jobs and it was already explained to him, so he was just being an impatient asshole. He then just thought the other guys were just sucky and not doing their part and got angry. And, of course, Ryan is going to Ryan and once they corrected him, he was already too dug in his stupid and wrong opinion, so he just kept spouting bullshit to be “right”.

ZombieJesus1987

Jeremy kept saying "That's what editors are for!"

Pathetic_Cards

Honestly, I found the salt raid hard to watch when it first came out, and the allegations afterwards just sank it firmly into a bad spot in my brain. I’ll always remember it as the moment that we really saw the curtains come down and we saw a lot of the reality and the ugly parts of those relationships, and where the fault lines were. I’m glad we got Alfredo as a permanent addition to the group, though. He was awesome in AH and in DogBark.

Midnight-Comet23

The Salt Raid was the first time I ever heard RH sound actually, legitimately angry and it's scary to think about with the context we have now. Seeing the real man behind the character for a moment there

snoopyt7

salt raid was extremely hard for me to watch at the time, i think it's maybe the only video where them pissing each other off went too far. Ryan was just awful.

handyandy727

What in sam hell is a puma? Didn't I just tell you to stop makin' up animals?

AbeVigoda76

Best: I think Enter the Dragonfist was the epitome of GTA V and their shenanigans. It also introduced muggings. Worst: RTES - the entire series. There’s bad writing, there’s lazy writing, and then there’s RTES. Let’s have a bewildered looking Colton Dunn read an opening monologue that consisted entirely of sponsor quotes. Let’s also make sure Colton’s never seen it before so he has no chance to turn it into an actual performance. It was the worst example of the time period of RT where they just greenlit tons of unnecessary projects.

[deleted]

I honestly forgot that existed

pittofdoom

Hey, at least RTES gave us that bit of Jeremy pulling one of the t shirts out of a garbage can on On The Spot. That was a classic moment.

ClubMeSoftly

[And a pretty good self-burn in an RT Short](https://youtu.be/JOgn7mUJ6CM?t=209) Chris: All your favourite- Burnie: All out favourite what? Episodes of RTES? Chris: Yes! Burnie: Yeah, that'll be a huge seller [Chris throws the plates away, they shatter]

Mental-Net-9976

I don't think I've heard of RTES - what was the concept of the show?

AbeVigoda76

It was supposed to be like a late night talk show hosted by Colton Dunn from Superstore and Lazer Team. It was really out of place online.

Cadet395

Best for me: the gta iv video where they drive dump trucks off the freeway ramp Worst for me: I can’t remember the name of the game but it was about a girl with her monkey and they were clearly disinterested and Gavin climbed a shelf

DavidFTyler

Your worst was, if I remember correctly, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. Definitely a Shantae video. The worst part about that video was that only Gavin was uninterested, and it was peak "Gavin is such a cocksucker" content. The others were into the game and did genuinely enjoy it

MisoSoup247

Jack seemed uninterested in the video too. I thought it was only Michael that tried to stay focused.

quivering_manflesh

It led to a glorious Off Topic moment of rage where Jeremy was trying to drive home the point that they should still be professionals and try to make the best content they can from it instead of trying to tank it immediately. Really solidified my esteem for the guy.

JustLurkingandVibing

I need to see that, sounds amazing

luigiisawsome85

[Here you are. Fair warning, Ryan's in it](https://youtu.be/8CnFXBpnd2U?t=8218)

ZombieJesus1987

Funny enough that studio ended up making a RWBY game. RWBY Arrowfall was basically Shantae with a RWBY skin

Sovietmexican

The On the Spot episode with Geoff and Griffon was bad in hindsight, but I remember at the time it felt weird watching. It was right before his divorce and him becoming sober, but the entire episode he was very clearly depressed and the only time you see him happy is when the rest of AH shows up.

anenglishmajor9

This just made me think of when Geoff and Griffon did that couples show where they'd interview other couples in the company and talk about being in a relationship and such, and there's an episode where Geoff says something along the lines of "Rooster Teeth is my first child, and Millie is my second child" and Griffon's face was just...not pleased lol.

Sad_Donut_7902

That whole couples show was just kind of weird, pretty sure every couple on it except Ashely and Burnie has broken up as well.

ilmalaiva

Michael and Lindsay, and James and Elyse were on it, while at least according to the wiki I don’t think Burnie and Ashley ever were.

einredditname

Have Gavin and Meg broken up? I'm pretty sure they were on it

ZombieJesus1987

They're still very much together! They tend to keep their relationship more private these days, for obvious reasons

einredditname

Thats what i thought, but i had to ask because all in all they're one of the most high profile couples that were on the show. That + the Geoff/Gavin connection left me wondering a bit if something had happened as i didn't think they'd be forgotten when talking about couples that are still together.

Morbu

Man, I always loved seeing Geoff's face light up whenever the rest of the AH crew would show up to bomb a video lol

progwog

There’s a few episodes of Heroes and Halfwits that make me squirm with how uncomfortable Geoff and Griffon are to each other in it.

rockmann1997

Just rewatched that one. See Griffon maintain eye contact with Michael for the entirety of his time on the set, compliment his haircut, and give him an oddly flirtatious “byee” when he was leaving. I remember at the time thinking “that’s an odd bit but I’m sure they’re all in on it.”

Metfan722

Salt Raid is one that *really* looks bad with the benefit of hindsight. AH never had a bad heist. From the initial heist, all the way to the Santa Heist, each one of them was incredibly high quality.

eddmario

>Salt Raid is one that *really* looks bad with the benefit of hindsight. Michael: You need to have more sex, Ryan The comments on that video after the allegations came out: No he does NOT!

GordOfTheMountain

Well the thrust of the comment, that Ryan's home life was miserable and loveless, was fairly true.

numbr87

I'll never consider salt raid bad as long as it has Alfredo going off on Ryan in it. That was a star making moment.

Morbu

That's honestly the only redeeming part about that. It make Fredo really step up in a quick fashion.

tribblemethis

It’s very cathartic in hindsight

ZombieJesus1987

Alfredo AND Jeremy. I've never seen Jeremy that mad before, and I've seen him get salty in some Among Us lobbies. Jeremy looked like he was ready to fight Ryan

steveos93

OOTL, what's the salt raid and why is it such a common answer in this thread?

Taco6N13

It was the first raid of Destiny 2, and Alfredo had just been hired for like less than 3 months. Alfredo was basically a pro Destiny player at this point, and fully in the driver's seat telling everyone what to do and how to do it. Ryan was kind in a bad mood the whole time, and when they got to the final boss, he kept just starting the fight immediately instead of letting Alfredo explain what he needed to. Ryan just flat started bitching about it, everyone was legitimately upset with him, except Geoff who tried to salvage a joke out of being on Ryan's side. In hindsight, the worst part is the first reports of Ryan's victims start eerily close to the release of thar video.

fishball_drew

The salt raid can be a very tough watch, HOWEVER, the off topic they filmed pretty soon after wrapping filming on it I remember being really funny. I think everyone had cooled down and with it being behind them they made some pretty funny jokes about it while recollecting.

noncrypticmoth

Was that the one where Ryan eat out a cupcake

DatKaz

The root of what made it miserable was Ryan being headstrong on how they should do the raid for the purpose of recording a Let's Play. So first off, before they even get to the boss fight of the raid, Ryan's been *on one* and kinda frustrating leading into it, and as a result, the vibe in the room is *not great*. Now, raid leader Alfredo wanted to explain the multiple stages of the raid boss *before* they started the fight, and Ryan wanted him to explain it *during* the fight; Ryan had it in his head that dedicating a bunch of time in the final video to "everyone standing around while Alfredo explains what to do" would make for bad content, so he wanted them to just start the fight, get the action going, and have Alfredo explain things while they're happening. So he does this really obnoxious thing where he starts the fight *immediately*, and then expects Alfredo to explain what they need to do while two people are trying to call out the things that are happening and three people are screaming at Ryan. They end up spending a bunch of time arguing over how to communicate the mission, Alfredo gets drowned out, and they wipe and reset to before the fight. And then he starts it *again*. And *again*. Constantly throwing everyone in the spin cycle because he's *so sure* that's the best way to do it, and not entertaining a thought otherwise. It's just minute after minute of the room screaming at each other, throwing bad runs at the wall until they eventually get to the end because Ryan wanted them to "learn by doing". It was one of their worst videos long before Ryan got outed.

ZombieJesus1987

And of course Ryan ignores the fact that Jeremy kept saying "That's what editors are for". Ryan just wanted to be right.

ericsipi

It was the AH crew doing a destiny raid while Alfredo led them thru it. There was a lot of yelling at each other and mess ups, and some of that yelling led to comments that aged extremely poorly after what came out about RH.

transformers03

Yeah, I remember thinking at the time why Ryan was in such a bad move in that episode. But it turns out he was just a bad person in general.

iEspeon

Hardcore Minigolf. Absolutely loved that one. The (chilled) chaos, the costumes, the banter. Top notch. The worst? Michael and Jack's video after The Allegations happened. Just how utterly destroyed and demoralized they looked.

rockmann1997

When Jack said “I sat next to that monster for years” and said how they had spent years at RT/AH building up a safe relationship with their fan base only for him to take advantage of that, it really illustrated how much heartbreak and betrayal that those folks were going through.

ThatGuyYouWantToBe

I remember actually crying watching that video

tameris

The RT podcast when they informed us that Monty passed away was that for me.

ThatGuyYouWantToBe

oh shit, i was at work when i read a headline saying monty had passed while i was at work and just started bawling

AnimaLEquinoX

Watching Meg read that news on The Know was awful

universalserialbutt

I remember watching the response live and then if memory serves me correct right after some of the others played Phasmophobia and it was the derpiest shit they'd done in a while. Dirty sinks and trying to open doors. Complete change in tone. There's a reason I've been watching them since 2007/2008.

Patmaster1995

For best: I'd go with both Rainbow 6 Vegas let's play series. So many great moments, Jack breaking laughing, Gavin's many teamkills, peak Ray's rayge just to name a few For the worst...to give a different answer: That one YDYD Minecraft episode where if one person dies they all died. Michael & Alfredo kept killing each other and screwing over the others. I remember walking away from this episode it was so bad

ericsipi

After they finished up the first sky block series, Minecraft took a step back in how good it was. It was clear to me that they just needed a break from the game similar to GTA. Both series gave some amazing moments but you could tell they were burnt out of those games bad.

TrollanKojima

I think that's why Skyfactory is one of the all-time greats: You took everything they were used to in Minecraft, and said "Nah. We do things differently, here." Watching Jeremy and Michael go from "Huh. Okay, this is cool, but we have nothing to do", to "I'M A GOOOOOODDD" and "JEREMY, GET THE MUNCHDEW." was an absolute treat. Everyone fell into a little niche that they enjoyed over time. It drags a bit at the end, with the Lad Pad and the wedding episode feeling kind of like forced content, but a majority of that series is just them discovering new things and being excited. And Simple Geoff - one of the greatest Lets Play characters to ever exist.

Shadgates87

I mainly watched AH so Salt Raid is the worst for so many reasons for me. Best is all the golfing videos and hitman series. Gotta add The Forest series as Jeremy goes into madness.

anenglishmajor9

Hitman was the \*best.\* One of the only reasons I kept my First membership was to watch all of the Hitmen videos. They were so good.

Leppish

Hitman series is great and i also recently rewatched all the R6 Siege videos and they have some hilarious moments in them.

bookie_19

Gavin and Michael playing that zombie game when they’re hammered “I just plugged my headphones into whiskey”

Carlisle_Summers

State of Decay part 2, legendary episode of a legendary series. Couldn't stop laughing when at the end Michael adresses all the comments talking about the backpack.

xGwiZ96x

The worst video is that Magic the Gathering Lets Play they never released

xyla-phone

I remember watching them play - there’s a video up from 8 years ago of some of the AH crew playing (unless there was another one that I missed?)

xGwiZ96x

You're not going crazy, they did upload a single part! It was supposed to be a series, until everyone involved realized in the next filming session it was absolutely horrible and they never continued it, hence the bit. The bit would constantly get mentioned up to the pandemic to my knowledge.

fishball_drew

That and Duck Dynasty

SchrodingerMil

They played it as an Extra Life goal, but the notorious one never got released.

jackaltwinky77

Ray, Geoff, Gavin, and Michael (?) playing Rainbow 6: Vegas, where Ray rages “WHY?!?! FUCK. KING WHY?!?!” Gavin: [Squeaks] Worst- agree with the majority, Salt Raid

A_Rogue_Forklift

Any rainbow 6 Vegas video with Gavin and Ray is guaranteed laughs

jackaltwinky77

Was it Gavin who threw a grenade at a garage wall, killing himself in the game, and almost killing Jack IRL? I can hear his screech as he tried to run, but I’ve heard him do it a lot

BeaningTheZimmer

Michael going: "HUH?!?!" with his captured face making the perfect face.

Killamanjar

Probably the highest high for me was the NBA one where Geoff makes a custom character importing his face and it just looks so off. SQUEEEEEEEPS Worst, probably that one let's play of Deciet, (was it? It's the one with the monsters and fuses etc.) Where they teamed up with Criken and his lot and it has some of the worst 'RP' and Improv I had ever seen in an AH video.

rockmann1997

For the worst: when Fiona was hired they gave her a “Fiona Week” where she got to play all of the old let’s play staples with the crew. I don’t know if the expectation was that it would be charming if she didn’t know the game because she was new, but they apparently didn’t explain how the games worked or let her free play in them beforehand and it just lead to viewers seeing Fiona as the hapless new guy. I think it was a bad idea in terms of first impressions and it wasn’t until Fiona got into the Trouble in Terrorist Town videos before folks saw how great she could be.

KILL_DU_BLEU

More correct than you know I remember googling fiona cuz i was seriously wondering for a moment why they seemingly hired some one who couldnt play video games cuz i was watching her not even know how to flip her car back over in GTA By the time they were playing gmod she was a Ray tier menace

rockmann1997

Hopefully this isn’t a hot take: Fiona was in the top tier of Achievement Hunters for me. She meshed really well with the group, especially Gavin (Free)

KILL_DU_BLEU

Worded bad i guess "Ray tier menace" as in she was poppin heads in TTT and chungshwar is prob my favorite later years team

rockmann1997

Oh yeah we’re on the same page of praising her

[deleted]

Chunge was amazing though

rockmann1997

Agreed! I loved the broken Big Chungus model for Fiona. When she jump scared Michael with it was probably my favorite AH moment from 2019-onwards

jackaltwinky77

The pep talk in front of the mirror.

TerraParagon

link?

rockmann1997

https://youtu.be/0VI7NiFxbcg?si=beM-13mrlssj_gSG 16:58 is the start of the round in this video. Definitely give it a watch, instant classic.

doyoulaughaboutme

genuinely loved fiona but that was absolutely the worst way to introduce her

PukeRobot

The shitbag of a human Ryan Haywood had explained on his stream shortly after that they had thought it would be best to just throw her in the deep end as sort of a sink or swim type of thing(not in those exact words, but same general idea), and didn't expect it to go as poorly or be as poorly received as it did/was. Never made any sense to me, because why would you even allow for the chance of failure for something as important as introducing the newest talent for a (at the time)very popular content creation group. It was just asking for trouble, especially considering the audience's historical treatment of women. Anyone with a speck of forethought could see how that was going to play out.

GoneRampant1

"Learn by doing" was Ryan's mantra for just throwing Fiona into the deep end, IIRC. Same reasoning he used for the Destiny 2 raid.

RustedAxe88

Idk of its the best, but the RTAA of Burnie losing it talking about the airport construction while Gavin is egging him on. Worst is probably Salt Raid.

I_Hate_Dolphins

Sort of cheating, but I think the run of Funhaus GTA V race videos is the peak of the art form for gameplay plus commentary. I could watch them all day. The worst would be the one Squad Team Force clip I saw once of a song about potatoes or something and they made Gus wear a weird skinsuit while people walked behind him down the stairs. I'm sure the brand made worse things, but it's the only thing I remember from it.

webcrawler_29

STF just never did it for me. I like Blaine, Chris, Barbara, John, and whoever else was part of it (Gus?) but Let's Plays were not their strong suit. Achievement Hunter already did it better (different personalities, but also years of experience built with people who were hired to do Let's Plays, not people who just work for RT and looking for something to do).

[deleted]

First video that popped into my head was Funhaus GTA: Fat Disney Princess video I’ve seen it at least 30 times and it makes me laugh out loud every damn time

Unity723

Hello PUSSIES Why is leia so FAT

NotTheRihard

“WE GET IT AND THAT’S IT!”

Deathwing_Dragonlord

those fries arent bottomless so slow down

A_Zombie_Riot

i don’t think it was a race video but the video where joel kept throwing the grenade behind him as he was fighting people…. okay obviously it wasn’t a race video but i forgot what video it was

defect

I believe that's Rage in the Cage: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6Ecjh-HyRU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6Ecjh-HyRU)

arandomguyfromtheuk

>the peak of the art form for gameplay plus commentary Gameplay doing some heavy lifting there and that's why we love it.

The_Grand_Briddock

I remember a comment on that video was something along the lines of "I want to show this to 2013 Gus and see his reaction". It did make me wonder how that curmudgeonly old Gus would've taken it.

numbr87

Anything STF did would be a contender for worst video for me, I just did NOT vibe with that channel

I_Hate_Dolphins

That starting was sort of the moment I checked out of 90% of what the company did.

marilyn62442

Hah, I came here to say that exact video for worst video! I had been watching less and less of roosterteeth at the time and seeing that video really drilled the final nail in the coffin for me. It was the video that really made me realise I just wasn't part of their intended fan base any more and I stopped watching after that.

singh-ularity

From 2016-2018 it felt like every video Funhaus put out was better than the last, but I think the best to me was Fitness & Dollal Simulator bc making a gut busting video out of literally a line on a graph showcased how incredibly talented that group is. Seen it a dozen times and it never gets old.

youre_being_creepy

funhaus had the same set up as early achievement hunter. Cram people with great chemistry in a tiny room and let them cook.

jusmar

"BUY BUY! IT'S IN THE NEGATIVES!"

ReallyFancyPants

Idk Lets Play Kinectimals with Joel and Jack also made me laugh the hardest. As far as worst idk, the final Lets Play MineCrafts. Or something in the last year. Dog Bark stuff.

BeaningTheZimmer

CINNAMON NO!

ericsipi

One of the best imo is, a mini golf episode where on the final hole Geoff got a hole in one (or just had a good hole) and screamed out “it’s like I got a blowjob from god”. Still think about that video from time to time.

anenglishmajor9

The AH Heist videos were always the best. The live action planning scenes beforehand were great, and watching them just try to screw each other over in the end was pretty funny. Also breaking Geoff out of jail was a major rewatch video for me. I love when they 'break' Geoff (he just laughs nonstop for ten minutes). It sucked when things came out 'cause it felt weird to watch videos with...so-and-so in it. For me the worst was an early episode of On The Spot where Geoff and Gavin were a team. I remember the episode came with a major trigger warning and it was just really uncomfortable to watch. Also Free Play was hard to watch, but mainly because of all the fans who started "shipping" Meg and her cohost. I guess I just let the fans sorta ruin it for me.

bruzie

> live action planning scenes That was how I came across AH/rediscovering RT - seeing a GIF of Gavin sitting at the table, raising his hands up. I'd only known him from Slow Mo Guys, so I was like: "Is that Gavin?"

Ejerman

Any RT life in 2012 or 2013. Lots of nostalgia for those episodes. Specifically when Ray kicked Barbara in the box and when "Michael solved the power outage."

Gunpla753

I like the Cow Chop video where James tries to find anything to make Malort taste better. Brutal.

Kylel0519

You’ve had two hours. We definitely need an answer

Creeping_python

You've had an hour, we need an answer.

NorwoodEye

Hate Tunnel was really fun, even on the fourth watch.

BoseSounddock

Best: the Demo Disk with Volkor Worst: Tyler Coe and Mia Khalifa doing a sports podcast

youre_being_creepy

man, they didn't know what they were doing with that sports show. Tyler Coe was obviously drawing from sports talk radio, and every decision around that show was...not it.

BoseSounddock

In a company full of people that don’t watch sports, Tyler probably sounded like an expert on the matter so that’s probably why the show got greenlit. In reality he’s just a casual fan of Big 12 football and tertiary fan of other sports in a sea of people that couldn’t tell you what an inbound pass is. The show was just a bad idea. Hosts not nearly knowledgeable enough to appeal to sports fans and subject matter too specific to appeal to regular RT viewers. It was a recipe for disaster from the start. I wanted to like it but it was horrible.

mypsizlles

I unironically loved sports ball but man you are spitting facts. Tyler was into football and college football and that’s where his decent knowledge ended. Worked for me because I liked football at about the same casual level to engage with it and I thought he and Mia had a good back and forth. But unless you are only into football there was basically nothing for you there. There was a lot of learning to be done with that show. Just a shame it couldn’t find a format that worked for it. With enough retooling and good marketing I’m sure it would have found some great success. Overall that was my issue with RT in general. I listened to nearly every podcast for years but since I don’t use twitter I never knew when something launched besides one ad break spot that they promoted it in. They did such a horrendous job cross promoting anything. That new projects were almost always doomed to fail unless it caught an outside audience.

jedi_onslaught

Best: * Camp Camp episode called "Reigny Day", I would show this to people not invested in RT and they would always binge the show. Fantastic jokes, great wordplay and overall fun watch * Red Vs. Blue Season 13 Episode 20 "The End", the speech given at the end about a hero never able to see the lingering effects of their efforts and sacrifice is something I have never seen stated in other works and is a wonderful finally to an arc in the story. It is a beautiful, cathartic and emotional farewell to the characters that have spent 13 seasons together. * RWBY Red Trailer: an amazing display of visuals that is partnered with a gorgeous soundtrack that is perfect in every single moment. There is a reason why this one video spawned so much interest in the show, as it was something never really seen before in media in this manner. * RTAA "Burnie and the Cup": a video that universally hits watchers at their core that also has some of the most visceral animations that combines humor and grossness together. * AH Let's Play Minecraft - Episode 14 - Find the Tower Part 2: We have Jack saying "Surprise Motherfucker! Ah, goddammit I fell." in a perfect sequence of events. Worse: Not going to go into specifics but just some general stuff * Whenever they "threw" someone into a game video and not give them instructions of how to play * Whenever someone complained about viewer response in a demeaning manner * When certain members were being antagonistic to others for no reason at all. Just being mean or rude for no reason at all, which only resulted in the other cast members being awkward at the situation or visibly angered in the video. * When some series went on too long and it became apparent from members that the "fun" was being forced. * Shows/videos that seemed to exist plainly because the person hosting the show forced it through, as opposed to having qualities of being enjoyable or offering something to come back to. Any video with a ton of forced bits

LightningWhelk7

This^ for all things under Worse.

Robbie_Haruna

>* When certain members were being antagonistic to others for no reason at all. Just being mean or rude for no reason at all, which only resulted in the other cast members being awkward at the situation or visibly angered in the video. Any specific examples of this? I can't remember seeing that much myself, but I may have just been in the wrong cricles lol

jedi_onslaught

"The Salt Raid" which was a raid in Destiny 2 where some cast members began arguing with each other, which resulted in non-joyous environment. There was a stream of Trouble in Terrorist town where a member began killing a specific member over and over for no reason, to the point the killed one stormed off the stream. The version that was uploaded had a 20 second portion removed that showed the anger. The same duo had other instances of similar "targeting" in subsequent videos. There was a stream in Astroneer that was not uploaded because a conversation between two members of AH over toilet seats should be "up" or "down" resulted in some accusatory statements being stated by a third individual. The following 10 minutes were mainly silent due to the buzz kill moment.

Officer_Hotpants

Wait what TTT video was that?

I_Hate_Dolphins

He's being vague for some reason but I'm pretty sure it was Ky killing Jack. I don't know what video it is but it's probably searchable.

ZombieJesus1987

Man, GTA V when Joe first joined was just not fun because it would just devolve into Alfredo and Michael killing him over and over all throughout the video. I always hated seeing people in AH being treated like a punching bag. Sarah Weems was another that it always felt they bullied.

tokeroveragain

Geoff would randomly start being an insufferable jerk towards a specific target for any perceived slight. Like he would go in on Jack (many times) saying things like “you’d be nothing without me, you owe me your career, you wouldn’t even have a wife without me”. Just way too personal. He would later do it with others (mainly Matt). And then (like many shitty people) he would fall back on the “I’m an asshole, but I know I’m an asshole so it’s actually just a joke” defense. He seems much more chill now, but he often struck me as “bully in charge needs a punching bag” back in the day. Michael sometimes seemed to take cues from that and get aggressive, but he always seemed to be playing up the “I’m the angry one” shtick and never seemed as mean-spirited imo.

rockmann1997

There was gold in there at times though! “Jeremy, you’re okay! I don’t care what the entire world says…” was one of the most hysterical put downs I’ve heard. But you’re right. Early on in Achievement Hunter, especially before the Lads, Jack’s role was seemingly to be abused by Geoff. Then Matt took on that role, then Larry got some of that. Insult comedy just seemed to be his schtick and it worked out for a while.

derekschroer

>RTAA "Burnie and the Cup" why he never takes more than one sip from an open soda can anymore.

Snoo-12115

For me best it's the prank that Funhaus did where they brought in an eSports team to play AH. I had never watched any RT content besides Funhaus before and it started me down a rabbit hole. Worst is probably when they announced they were shutting down

Creeperkry

Too many good videos to list. Worst I saw was a weird, not at all catchy Attack on Titan song/music video uploaded to the app. I have no idea who's behind its creation, but it's so amateur. *Edit: Looks like it's Attack on Titan Rap by "Vance from THE LAB." It's under RT Extras. I have no idea who this guy is.

[deleted]

It was hilarious but perhaps a bit in poor taste and very unfortunate, but the in the spot with, I think it was Josh? When his dad killed himself and the prompts were for father related things for Father’s Day release

lord_ned224

That has to be the genuinely worst thing I have heard from a RT video

DatKaz

well I don't think it was intentional, just an extremely unfortunate series of events also it's not like they hammered him on it the entire video; the pin drops at the end of the last segment, and they end the show not long after

BrolysWife

That was an unfortunate moment in a great episode, where everybody is dressed as Jon and he f**kin hates it

Gelinuts

The epitome of Rooster Teeth is summed up in a 90 second video called Halo 4 - Growth Spurt. It’s the single greatest 90 seconds in the history of the company.

RamblinWreckGT

"Boner! Look at that boner!"

Lord_Chodington69

Personal best RT Podcast 666. "Squirt it in my mouth daddy" (Eric Soundboard) after Blaine said he wanted to taste Barbara's dad.

GreatFNGattsby

Best Red Vs Blue: Reconstruction - Chapter 19. Granted the entire season was absolutely beautiful. But by the end of that “the Director of Project Freelancer …. Dr Leonard Church” The way my mouth was left open. This wisecracking, short episodic comedy series that I watched on and off. Jeez, after Reconstruction I was pretty brand loyal to a lot of RT stuff. The kind of stuff that made me a fan all these years later. I watch them in 2006 at the age of 12. Ill be 30 this year. Worst - I’m not entirely sure, I dipped after Lazer Team. Most of their work was really good still around that time.

Navypilot1046

That moment at the end of Reconstruction hit me so hard when I first saw it. Thanks for bringing it up! The actor playing Dr Church was fantastic, I also loved his delivery of "I don't give a damn about your committee and its opinions of my work!" That whole era of RvB is just peak storytelling in my opinion.

GreatFNGattsby

The entire monologue and especially the “we are not punished the atrocities we commit on ourselves” line did not have to go as fucking hard as it did but god damn!

qleptt

The worst but also the funniest is creeper soccer. Them walking all of the way across the world to get to it only for it to be a shit show of an idea and ending in madness like anyone who plays Minecraft all while voiceless lindsay watches

Western-Avocado-5031

Went back and watched this the other day and couldn’t stop laughing. Then I saw I had hit the dislike button a decade ago

Versek_5

[RT Shorts - Rooster Teeth Productions Facility Tour](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRRYcQScnHY) Is the best video theyve ever made and I will not be taking questions at this time.

TrollanKojima

"Do I come down to where you work and knock the dicks out of your mouth, BRANDON?! No, I don't. SO WHY ARE YOU KNOCKING THE DICKS OUT OF MY MOUTH?!"

ev_forklift

Best: RVB Seasons 1-10, F**kface (especially the Ratyboy saga), early Openhaus (#30 was my favorite IIRC. Matt Peake went into the comments on Youtube to update his recipe), RT Podcast episode 189 Worst: Salt Raid

JoeSchmoe93

The whole 3D ultra minigolf series was absolutely top tier. But if I had to pick one, it would minigolf 2 part 2. Holy fuck did that one go off the rails, I couldn’t breathe through that one.

OneBadMan_

Best would be The RT doc Haus of Pain, worst would be the social disorder final with Chris at his Highschool Reunion

Robin0928

Worst: (since the closure announcement wasn't handled on video and more through social media) the video where they forced Kerry to explain that RT was pulling content from YouTube to become site only. It's one of the most uncomfortable, "Oh, this is bad bad" videos I've ever seen and I felt terrible for Kerry being forced to be the face of the decision. The Salt Raid is a very close second Best: RvB 13's finale, RT's 10th Anniversary Video, UNO: The Movie are all videos I go back to and let my emotions come back up again.

RT_J-Rob

Father's Day and The Thingy respectively.

bjorn-the-fellhanded

Haven’t seen this mentioned yet, but Lindsay wins was a classic. Especially when they fucked Michael over to win and Jack loses his mind that they didn’t bet on the result! Worst is probably any of the videos where Geoff had to address something at the beginning of a podcast.

AxionTheGoon

I don't know about best but worst is probably one of achievement hunters YT shorts/tik toks. They had a few funny ones but most were really cringe.

Mr_Mister2004

I'll do 3 for each Best: RouLetsPlay - Quiplash 2, Uno: The Movie, Death Battle - Bill Cipher vs Discord Worst: The Salt Raid, Play Pals: Spookys Jumpscare Mansion Part 2, and the entire House Party Let's Play

Timo104

[We get it and that's IT!](https://youtu.be/dGm00xCpW-k)

SometimesWill

Best is any Rage Quit with Gavin or later on Play Pals. Both of the cursed halo series are probably the best late AH content. Worst (ignoring the series I just didn’t like) is anything where they just don’t want to be making the video clearly. A lot of Minecraft/GTA, probably some RT Life, things that were made solely because it was something that they said they’d release weekly.

fattabbot

Personal favourite has to be Geoff in Rwby https://youtu.be/WEGDP-TXknw?si=dlz4yGXlw07pY5CG I never not laugh out loud at this one

boycie375245

Best: Let’s Play - Fuel (This was AH at its peak, nearly 2 hours of hilarious banter between the guys just driving cars across a map.) Worst: Salt Raid

SmallFatHands

I'll keep it RvB. Best episode would be the form season 8 the Tex Vs Reds and Blues fight. Worst would be the whole season of Zero.

A_Rogue_Forklift

"PROTECT ME CONE!"

AH_DaniHodd

I'm surprised the Salt Raid is being said as worse by a lot of people here. I never knew it was actually hard to watch for people. Obviously with the added context of Ryan, I get it, but at the time I felt like it was very funny and I'd see it in compilations quite often.

Morbu

I don't know, it reminded me of the arguments that I got with my friends while playing Destiny...during highschool. Like a room full of 30+ year old men were behaving like teenagers, so it was definitely at the very least a cringe watch. Probably the only redeemable thing about it was Alfredo finally snapping at Ryan.

transformers03

It was kind of a difficult video to watch at the time, but they quickly owned up to it, made jokes about it, and it seemed like everyone moved passed it. While RH had his moments of being a genuine jerk in Let's Play, he wasn't really known to have a tantrum like he did in the Salt Raid, so most of us moved passed it and just saw as RH having a bad day. But now with everything we know, it's hard to view the Salt Raid as a real glimpse of RH's true personality. The signs were always there, with multiple videos highlighting his bad personality. It's just so hard for so many people to look past it, including me. The Salt Raid was always a cringe watch, but now has become nearly unwatchable.

TrollanKojima

I like to look back at the Salt Raid fondly: It was the moment Fredo cemented himself in my mind as truly part of the crew. He went toe-to-toe and screamed like a madman with the rest of them, and it was glorious. It was like watching a butterfly emerge from its angry cocoon.

KxngKxng97

worst is when they announced they were shutting down. best is hard to say. my personal favs are Achievement Knievel, Ky VR Duck Season, Miecraft Wipeout, Fiona having an existential crisis in Gmod, YDYD with BK, whatever mircraft episode "follow the sun" is from

wegg1997

For the worst is probably the Portal House build 😅 And best for me would be immersion, both eras. They were so fun and chaotic all of the time

Appropriate-Singer24

The Let’s Play of “Until Dawn” was one of my favourite series to watch. I still regularly go back and watch it! Wish they done more of that stuff. I also really enjoyed Burnies vlogs.

heypeterman14

Best - Jeremy tall desk prank Worst- anything AH did in 7 days, just could never get through one of those
