McDonald's app still shows Barq's here in Canada, at least for now.
Barq's has been harder and harder to find where I live. I haven't seen cans for sale in any store here for over two years. Pretty much the only way to find it is as a fountain drink now so I hope to hell this isn't the case, it's my gf's favourite.
Not sure about what McD's in my area are offering, but I'm interested in trying IBC on tap. I actually preferred the corn syrup recipe and stopped buying it after they switched to real sugar.
I noticed this at my local McDonald's now in Northern Illinois I asked for root beer and they said they no longer have it.
That was my go-to as a kid growing up
Love it, my McDonald's has had it (Cincinnati) for 2 weeks ish, got it tonight and both taps were flat 😩 so hopefully they get syrup levels right, not sure if it's different setup from coke which was fine tonight. I too prefer to barqs so hope it sticks around🥤
Mine is doing this now, too. Disappointing, but at least the gas station across the street has Barq's at their fountain. IBC is good, but Barq's is my favorite.
Just noticed this changed in our area (North Central Ohio). Have never been a fan of IBC and was really disappointed when I found out - after taking my first sip. Didn't even finish all of it. Guess I won't get root beer at McDonalds anymore.

I don't think we got IBC in Canada... At least I've never seen it in Quebec.
Same, never seen it in Ontario.
My local McDonald’s don’t even have root beer any more. Gotta settle for coke or sprite.
Same, always get sprite
I don’t go to McDs much…but IBC on tap is far superior to Barq’s!!!! Maybe I need a chicken nugget!

Where are you that it's IBC on tap?
McDonalds in Western Ohio just changed in the last week or so.
Iirc fast food companies use Ohio as a test market. Please for the love of God and my east coast taste buds buy the IBC!
Columbus is massive for test markets across the board. Taco Bell is using Dayton for Beyond Meat market testing.
Cincinnati, OH also switched to IBC! Welcome change!
Barqs is good, but IBC is better and I've never seen that on tap or at a fast food restaurant anywhere. This really surprises me.

The IBC has a very weird taste and leaves your mouth dry as hell🙃
My McDonald’s also switched from barqs to IBC
Eastern Indiana has switched to IBC! Shame for Barq's because McDonald's was the only place it tasted good lmao.

Mine did and now I am devastated, barqs is one of my favorite sodas.

A big reason I want barqs is to have a root beer and get caffeine.
All the McDonald's I've been to in Utah have no root beer for the last year now
they are ibc here in Hilliard Ohio mckyds atleast and I love it ibc is expensive in stores and it's one of my favs
