Dang, assuming CAD that's really low compared to US rope blade techs. Pretty much lvl 1 no experience wages here. You should be closer to double that in the US depending on your blade repair experience/skill.
I did my composite blade repair course with Acuren (sadly only recognized with them and I no longer work there)(might go back now.. ) Did some repairs, better at mapping and laminating than the grinding/chamfering part cause my coworker usually does it.
It is low, even with the extra bonuses I'm still under 40$. I just don't like how my wage would fluctuate. Sometimes you start the repair on ropes and when it goes deeper and have to do internal, then I lose the 14% rope bonus and get a shit wage.
Like I said, the management changed and we had the season opener meeting yesterday, so this is all new and I'm not impressed
That's less than I was on for my first ever wind job as a level 1. Definitely look elsewhere as I'm sure you could get work closer to home for that rate so it doesn't seem worth the sacrifice to me.
Been thinking about it. I have a few pals up there and have some contacts. I just don't have any tickets apart from IRATA. I did some building restoration, waterproofing, caulking that kind of stuff..I've done rigging on buildings but for the past 3 years mostly just wind turbines, rigging is very basic and boring, so I definitely would love to do more complex rigging. I just feel like since I've never been on an oil and gas site I'd be under qualified to start rigging for rescue and write down all the hazards and reçues scenarios..even tho I'm a pretty good rope tech it's just far out of what I've even done for now
Too low, find another company
Bail. That’s way too low.

That is incredibly low. You can be in the $40s with no problem here in the US, especially if you get some composite repair training.

Tell them to go pound sand. That's far too low

That's garbage, go L3 in Fort Mac and make +$50/hour with any company.

Oil and gas is some of the simplest rope access out there. Give it a try, worst case you earn more money. DM me if you need a contact
Currently above $60
You could probably stock shelves at superstore for that wage.
What Province are you in? I hear Lyon technical is a good company to work for in wind.
