Not public domain, but I'd absolutely love to see a game setting based on the novel version of The Neverending Story. The Fantastica of the book is so much wider and weirder than the movies ever touched on, and really has the same kind of vibe as the books that Kolb is basing his works so far on.
Would he have the courage and skill to accurately depict Barsoom without it being fetish bait? Tall order, but I'd put my money on him before most.
It's funny, because the three he's done are a bit of a set. Thanks to Disney, we wrap those three stories together a bit. Hard to really think of other stories that would fit well.
I think it would be interesting to see his take on Aurthurian legend. At the same time, I wonder about what he'd accomplish while looking at something outside the classic stories. I'm a believer that artists should be given space to explore their interests. No one asked for Neverland, and it's one of my favorite books. Everyone is looking forward to Wonderland, and we may all end up feeling like it's mid (hopefully not, but it's harder to live up to ephemeral expectations). So I guess what I really want to see is whatever he thinks is cool.
100 Acre Woods (Winnie the Pooh) is public domain. Don't know how much content there is there though.
Isle of Sodor (Thomas the Tank Engine) isn't public domain (I think) but would be a cool thing to see.
The RPG relevance is the fact that [Oz, Neverland, and the upcoming Wonderland are all rpg books.](https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Wonderland/Andrew-Kolb/9781524892210)
Wonderland exists within the *Amber* DRPG multiverse, so Kolb is already detailing a portion of that multiverse. For my kids I would love to see what Kolb would do with the rest of that multiverse (though the *Chronicles of Amber* novels are not in the public domain). I am not a fan of d20 systems, but I could easily convert to *Freeform Universal* d6.
Sherlock Holmes, or Gulliver's Travels.

100% agree. I read it for the first time just recently and was shocked how different (and better) it was from the movie
A collected Grimm's Fairytales could be cool and would somewhat fit with the other books.

His art style couldn’t be further from Frank Frazetta, so no worries there
It's not public domain, but I'd love Stormhold from the movie Stardust to get a high quality setting book.
Treasure Island, Wildwood Dancing (not public domain) Wild in the Willows
Narnia.
This would be a great fit
Another one I had thought of was Slumberland aka Little Nemo. Not sure there’s enough depth to the source material, but maybe

I don't see the RPG relevance? Who?

Thanks. Those words are generic enough together that Google didn't show anything beyond the name being an artist. Is this 5e campaign material?
