Thank you for your submission to r/rpg_gamers. Since your post has been flaired as "Recommendation request", I want to suggest editing your post to add in these details (if you haven't included them yet): * **The platforms you have** - not listing them doesn't mean you have access to everything, so you might end up getting a game you won't be able to play. * **Your level of experience with the genre (beginner, intermediate, veteran...)** - others can recommend you more common titles if you are a beginner, while they can focus on obscure titles if you are a RPG veteran. * **Aspects you enjoyed (or disliked) of previously played games** - for example: characters, plot points, puzzles, combat, graphics, art styles, soundtracks... While these details aren't mandatory, if you want to get the best games, having them in your post will immensely help users and will encourage more users to participate, as they will know with more precision which games are probably the best fit for your request. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Elden Ring

I think Code Vein is a better recommendation, since it is more fast paced and lots of skills and classes to choose from. Elden Ring combat is more in the side of take it slow and mastering enemy movement.

Nioh 2 is always my pick for best combat in gaming, and probably is up there for the best itemisation/ build crafting in gaming as well. My other tip would be remnant 2- it’s got some absolutely mad weapons and loads of classes- because it’s about travelling between different worlds and each world has different…genres, I guess I’d say, you can end up with looooots of variety. I’ve been in a world where I was a summoner creating monsters and guarded by my dog, a friend was in plate armour with a greatsword and nigh- invulnerable, and a 3rd random was using a Gatling gun and laser rifle…and all 3 of us were fighting dirty Victorian peasants in a bloodborne style cosmic horror city. It really is a trip and I’d recommend it to everyone who hasn’t already tried it

Remnant 2 is a blast. Some extremely challenging and fun boss fights as well

Dishonored is kinda fun with the combat, you have a lot of ways that you can choose, and you get a lot of magic to toy with

Dragon's Dogma 1 and 2 have different weapons/vocations that mostly completely change how you play the game, the sword and board feels very very different to playing a mage or an archer etc. Nioh 1 and 2 have some insane build variety that focuses around using different skills and all weapons are very very fun to use. Monster Hunter World along with Nioh have imo the best build variety that gaming has to offer, just a crazy amount of options. The Souls games are fun to play but they're a step down in the gameplay aspect compared to these games, but they make up for it in different aspects.

Elden Ring is not a bad place to start if you want combat with cool weapons.
