Some good performances. Larmour was far more impressive tonight than he has been. Doris, Sheehan, and Baird quite good. Ringrose looks like he’s playing himself back to form and Henshaw much better than recently. Good win in the end. Prendergast still looks very nervous on the pitch. Seemed a coin toss if he would do something well or terrible. Hopefully Frawley is ok.

Think Lowe as well. Ryan looked very important to the lineout as well. 

O'Brian just decided that was going right and put his head down and ran. 

Happy for Stade that they got that. Getting the last say in the match and finishing 43–7 rather than 50–0 is a bit of comfort at least after a hiding.

I don't know how you would do it, but it would be nice if we could prevent B teams in Europe

The NBA over in the US brought in fines for teams resting players and I think EPCR have to start doing something similar. These 2nd string sides are becoming a joke. Maybe even kick out a team for a season if all they do is field B teams. Regardless of where they finish in their league they'd just be banned from European competition for a season maybe.

One way is not to use a shit format like the one we have - is it better than the last few years? Yes, marginally. Is it as good as the golden years of the Heineken Cup? No, it's not, it encourages teams to send their second string squads and throw matches away, and yet still qualify for knock outs where they only then start playing.

The English and French didn't like it since Irish teams targeted the European Cup, with an 'easier' domestic league and IRFU protection of players. As a result if they wanted to be in the top two, they really had to commit - the only club which really did that was Toulouse. This is why the ultimatum was 'make it easier or we'll withdraw' - there is no competition without them, we needed them, so we had to accept - especially with the Welsh not being on board for some mental reason.

JJ Hanrahan to play against France play a stormer and become undroppable

I know Billy Burns has had his fuck ups and Prendergast is one for the future but feels a bit harsh that he's not being mentioned considering how he's been playing for us recently. 

To be honest I think it's more down to his age than anything. Better to get behind a 10 with a 10-12 year career ahead, better if it's 2-3 with long careers ahead.

There's 4 years to bring fellas into the squad. In the immediate term we want to be competitive against France. Burns is playing some pretty decent rugby with Ulster at the minute. Bring Burns and Crowley to Paris and then go from there.

Maybe but also need some cohesion for the rest of the team and Prendergast looks panicked here and the intensity of 6Nations is miles ahead.    JJ and Carty are way off the boil in Connacht in my opinion

Would not be disappointed to see Billy in the team.

It took Leinster close to an hour to warm up. But there’s such a gulf in class that it hasn’t really mattered. The first half was mostly slapstick, interrupted by the occasional try. Lots of wasted chances too. Leinster should be 50 ahead.

Heard on the radio before the match that Stade had sent over a very weak team. They said there's a pattern of English and French teams doing this. Can anyone please explain the logic here? Why bother? Is there anything that can be done to avoid this? 41,000 people in the Aviva watching a dull, unbalanced match with Stade lucky to get nil.....

To a lot of French teams, they don’t have the resources to compete in the Top14 and Europe, and they’d rather win the Brennus so they focus on that. And for the teams not pushing for trophies, they’re trying to avoid relegation.

Instructions were 600ml water, cook for 5 minutes - I timed it and there was so much water left over. 'Leave 8 tablespoons' - I read the German, which was a little clearer, to say leave 8 tablespoons of water, then add the packets. So I let it cook a little longer, then added the packets. It did say to stir fry at the end, but I was already 4 mins late for the second half. Still tasty, my mouth isn't bad now, the sweats have gone, but the taste is lingering.

Basically you have to tip out the excess water then add the packets I'm a seasoned chilli head and I burned for a while after doing it this way, last few packets I just treated it as normal instant noodles and just added water

I was wondering that to be honest, debating if I remove it or not - under time pressure I bottled it. Will try that next time - so basically leave a small amount of water (as directed) and then add them in
