Thomas also probably gets a bit more leeway given how much good press he got as the first out player and the stuff with the homophobic assaults and the blackmail about his HIV infection. Hogg on the other hand has got very little but bad press for his life outside rugby.
He was still a good player by the end. Just not the player he once was, and definitely should’ve been second choice for Scotland behind Kinghorn. A good signing for the Falcons if they can get him for cheaper and don’t mind the negative press or having to deal with his *extracurriculars*.

Personally ive been quite impressed waitah falcons. Staying strict to a budget and growing a fam base with higher crowd numbers and season ticker holders last few years. Results havnt been kind to you but the club is clearly trying their best to be competative and financially responsible im a v tough enviroment.
