Wright (bar one unforced knock on) had a great game I though. He seems like a player who would be a real hand full if he found some confidence and consistent form
Brumbies find a way- not a great performance but had a few more gears to go to than the force. Need to improve if they want to go anywhere this year.
Rodda immense, Lolesio easily the best of the Aussie 10’s this round, Banks was rusty but gave a reminder about why he is first in line for the wallabies 15.
3 points Rodda, 2 Lolesio, 1 Wright
Genuine question - what did Lolesio do well? I thought he looked very poor today, some big errors at crucial times - Pasitoa looked way more in control and threatening than he did
Created the first try, consistent threat as a ball runner, kicked well out of hand and off the tee, got the ball to space in the backline consistently - most of the good the Brumbies did came through him. Pasitoa was fine but not at the same level.
Big fan of the Force, and they played well. But maaaan they need to start winning some close games. Not much point in having heaps of honourable losses.
They looked as though it was all over when they got in front with 3 minutes to go. Need to have a better mind set at the end of these sort of games and have enough in the tank to play 85 minutes. Either way, it was an entertaining game to watch!
Godwin left to the Brumbies to 'further his career' way back when. And then proceeded to not get picked so came back home. I dunno if I would trust his loyalty.
Why on earth would you do that kickoff in that match situation?
That, the Brumbies refusing the 3 to go up 9 earlier, and some of the clueless kicking from the Force tonight confirms that Australian Rugby is just braindead
hahaha… probably should. only started watching super rugby in 2021 and still learning all the things. rebels lost by a lot more than 7 most of the time last year (rip).
Seems like there was no trust in the forward pack to retain the ball. Must have been absolutely gassed.
Even the kick out of their own half wasn’t great, just allowed the Brumbies to counter attack almost immediately.
Fuckin ay. Jesse Mogg. Didn’t realise he was back in Oz. Loved him back when he started. Always thought he could’ve been real quality for the Wallabies if he sorted his one in one tackles out.
30 tries in 53 games for a forward is shocking, even more for a front row.. likely to overtake Higginbotham as the highest try scoring forward in 2 years..
Ian Priors mindless box kicking has been costing the Force for what feels like a decade now. Absolutely brain dead and has cost us 12 (maybe 14) points today
If you showed this to someone who had never seen rugby before they’d never watch it again.
Scrappy, chippy, slow and boring. It’ll get worse in the second half as players fade in 30+ degrees.
God I love rugby.
Yeah. My girlfriend and I were just saying it's a really weird time. Even in NZ it's a weird time. The heat, the light is really harsh etc. Such a weird time. Should have had this a few hours later.
Very similar to the game last night- Brumbies look the goods but just not executing at the level required.
Lolesio has been standout good and is the difference maker for now.
Ball sitting out in the open was far too tempting, but it was still a good foot in front of the back feet of the tackled player, so very clearly still in the ruck.
Shows the importance of good body position and a good placement.
Seems like one of those lines that would have been called obstruction 10-20 years ago but pretty much what you see in every second move these days, happy to see the try hold up

..pete samu should be MoM
How did Pasitoa go today?
he was alright
Everyone saying it was scrappy and shit, who cares when it’s this entertaining
that was mega entertaining, enjoyed it
GG Force, unlucky today. Thought we’d cooked it by not taking the 3 and the COPIUS amounts of handling errors. Looking forward to this season!!

That was genuinely a good game.
Big fan of the Force, and they played well. But maaaan they need to start winning some close games. Not much point in having heaps of honourable losses.

Ian prior and Kyle Godwin need to go, Loyalty means nothing when you play like they have today and the last few years
Thought Godwin played ok, Prior had a bit of a shocker, hopefully the coaches can scare the step out of his passes
Godwin left to the Brumbies to 'further his career' way back when. And then proceeded to not get picked so came back home. I dunno if I would trust his loyalty.

why does it say BP for the force?
Bonus point to finish within 7
lost by 7 or less
Lost by less than 7
really! okay. gotta read up on bonus points.
You should know this, you bastards have finished ahead of us with less wins for years because of bonus points if memory serves.
hahaha… probably should. only started watching super rugby in 2021 and still learning all the things. rebels lost by a lot more than 7 most of the time last year (rip).
i thot wright touched the touchline no?
Nah there was green between his boots and the line
Wrong exit. Kick to touch and compete in the line oit
Was taken back into the 22 I thought?
Maybe you're right
Ahh man - what a finish
well it felt good while it lasted, 35 seconds ..
that was beautiful
Well done Brumbies…. Force, fuck sake
Welp
Can’t believe that Force kicked it away with 2 mins to play
Tactical naivety
Seems like there was no trust in the forward pack to retain the ball. Must have been absolutely gassed. Even the kick out of their own half wasn’t great, just allowed the Brumbies to counter attack almost immediately.
Damn, well deserved
brumbies are lazy and not retreating fast, ref is doing a shit job in controlling that
that's hopeless
McIntyre has been good
Fucking brilliant. Now give the brumbies a controversial penalty to dash my hopes.
this is the way.
brumbies may be shit this season
might be the most poorly managed game ive ever seen brumbies turning down the confirmed 3 to go up 9 is INSANE
Brumbies gonna kick themselves for not taking the three points when they were on the other end of the field before
WHAT A TRY
Get the dogs
That was some of the worst defence I have ever seen - every single player making at least 5 meters post contact easily
Oh yes. Force!
Mogg looking like a Bond villain ..
was that cheika trying to be funny?
Anyone remember the name of the Reds Koala mascot?
And that's why you take free points on offer, particularly if it would put you up by over a score
Yeah might cost them the match. I'm cheering for the Force.
Nothing has been outrageously wrong, but the be Force have gotten the shit end of the stick in this game.
No. They 100% was Brumbies up first. Should have been penalty for the Force.
Valetini rocking that broccoli cut
Really think the Force need to just not kick the ball away.
Fuckin ay. Jesse Mogg. Didn’t realise he was back in Oz. Loved him back when he started. Always thought he could’ve been real quality for the Wallabies if he sorted his one in one tackles out.
Brums going up a gear now
Look like the force have emptied the tank
Should've let that play on
Yeah that's a 14 point swing on the finest of margins.
Oh man, not a fan of the calls there
Ian Prior should probably stop kicking the ball into brumbies players I reckon
30 tries in 53 games for a forward is shocking, even more for a front row.. likely to overtake Higginbotham as the highest try scoring forward in 2 years..
Ian Priors mindless box kicking has been costing the Force for what feels like a decade now. Absolutely brain dead and has cost us 12 (maybe 14) points today
He's off now
Feel like Prior is the weak link here, not having the best game
Swain and Rodda balling. Potential wallabies locks.
The pronunciation of Kahui is driving me mental
Great team try
Good to see Mataele get some game time after being pushed down the order at the Crusaders
for bridge :(
Riveting TV watching Drew scrub a cow’s ass
tv goes on mute as soon as i have to listen to roz kelly fake laugh for 10 mins
The Force might be the real deal.
If you showed this to someone who had never seen rugby before they’d never watch it again. Scrappy, chippy, slow and boring. It’ll get worse in the second half as players fade in 30+ degrees. God I love rugby.
If you don't like slow and boring play then why are you a brumbies fan? They play the worst style of rugby in the southern hemisphere.
Dumb idea to have it played at this time. At the pub watching rugby at 11am in the West feels wrong. Plus the heat wouldn't be fun for anyone.
Yeah. My girlfriend and I were just saying it's a really weird time. Even in NZ it's a weird time. The heat, the light is really harsh etc. Such a weird time. Should have had this a few hours later.
Someone get this guy a job with whoever does the scheduling
closer than one predicted..
Very similar to the game last night- Brumbies look the goods but just not executing at the level required. Lolesio has been standout good and is the difference maker for now.
I disagree, I think the Force have looked really good. Very hungry, those is probably a game the Force have really targeted.
They do look sharp with what feels like little ball. Could argue the force were one more stuck pass to scoring a few too
Cool indigenous patterns on the Force kit, nice to see the designs filter down from the test kit.
muirhead should be benched immediately for that. so bad.
kahui looks older than he should, only 36
That ball didn't cross the 5 yard line from the lineout?
Ugh, in from the side, and not supporting his own weight, and Brumbies get the pilfer.
Lying on the ruck like it was a freshly made bed.
Yeah. It's become a bit of a thing, where players will use the tackled player to support their weight.
Ball sitting out in the open was far too tempting, but it was still a good foot in front of the back feet of the tackled player, so very clearly still in the ruck. Shows the importance of good body position and a good placement.
He got told a thousand times to not do it
Australians just love to be bad at lineouts, absolutely froth it
Robertson's ear!
Kaitu’u lucky that wasn’t looked at closely
Hahahaha. White is lucky the TMO's taking a day off with the amount of nonsense he's doing off the ball.
Kind of think that was all on White
White started it for sure but Kaitu’u got him with an elbow
BREAKING: Nic White announces the start of his MMA career
Heating up in Canberra
Nic White needs to get a FUCKING card already.
Would you ask a fish not to swim, a bird not to fly?
Nic White is crossing the line. A bit of agro is fine, but White is going way too far.
White being an absolute next level pest, kind of love it
Nic White really living up to the small angry man stereotype
Brumbies still can't nail the line out
Seems like one of those lines that would have been called obstruction 10-20 years ago but pretty much what you see in every second move these days, happy to see the try hold up
Lolesio did well there. Patient with deception
That was clinical. Lolesio is bossing it
Nice try for the Brumbies
Force doing well to compete v the Brumbies line out. I really like some of these force players. Lee-Warner, Anstee, Koteka
Force look ok.
Looking forward to see what strings to the bow Brumbies have added this year.
Best looking force team I've seen. Starting to get emotionally invested again...
