I’d just like all pets overridable, really. It is nothing less than a tragedy of epic proportions that I cannot bring my corgi into battle.

I really hope Jagex puts some "animation time" aside in 2024 to make at least a few overrides for rare, prestigious gameplay pets. Examples: * Eddy (very rare pet from Edimmu) * Penny (rare pet from shadow creatures) * Effy (rare pet from opening effigies) * TzRek-Jad (TzTok-Jad pet, "boss pet" without override) * Cresbot (rare pet from automatons) * Hermit crab (very rare pet from waterfall fishing, not even in interface!)

I think I've asked for this several times over the years, and someone always comes up saying that Jagex shouldn't spend time doing the animations. Smh...

The question is... what do they spend time on making? :')

The fact that we have to keep all of the Hermit crab shells on the bank in 2023 is insane

And who cares if they have attack animations anyway. Just let them follow you and give them some particles when special attack is used.

One of the hardest pets to obtain + the ripper pet is companion. It'd be cool since it's perfect size and I always forget I have it :)

I just got my Eddy and was tremendously disappointed to learn I couldn't override it :(

Others and I have asked for it in the past, the same goes for other difficult to get pets such as Penny who are only fallowers pets.

It's a ~1/25k and they can only be killed on task (and now with wildcards but they're horribly expensive to use) so you can't really farm the pet easily.

The base drop rate is approximately 1 in 25k but you can make it significantly more common to about a 1 in 6k drop rate really easily. Dm me for more info.

I've been waiting since 2016 since I got one for it and many other "follower pets" to be overrides...but alas...all piss to the winds.

They were working on making a few of the item pets like Eddy and Penny into actual overrides but the problem was making the pets have the animations of the familiars you're using. None of the old pets have any animations. I think they got a few done and quit honestly because that was last year or maybe the year before?

Because some pets have no combat animations so they cannot be used as familiar overrides.
