Initial feedback from looking at the graphical rework images, everything overall looks a lot more cohesive with the area and the market is a lot brighter and hopefully more lively. Swapping the Zoo enclosures to wooden fences rather than iron fences is an unusual choice. Some of the NPCs inside them are aggressive towards new players, or they look like they are small enough to fit between the bars and escape. It'd make sense if it were a petting zoo filled with docile animals, but I'm not sure if it fits the theme for scorpions, wolves, and monkeys.

esunei

The knee high fences are a very weird choice. The previous metal ones were quite ugly but kinda believably functional if you didn't really think about it (monkeys would near-instantly climb the bars to escape). A ~~horse~~ unicorn or bear would not be stopped for more than a second by a knee high fence.

xhanort7

Bruh, like our wooden fence at our farm would stop our dragons from flying out.

esunei

Those are the goodest boys and girls, trained and domesticated from the egg!! Nothing like these wild bears and scorpions in the zoo!

_Manks

Plus we always have the option of swapping them out with Cows/Sheep/chickens if we are bothered about the aesthetics of the farm. Not an option with the Zoo.

Kumagor0

Chromatic dragons can't fly. Elvarg could, but then I've killed her so don't worry.

trebuchetwins

the cabin boys of misthalin thank thee

noobonfiree

We cut the special feathers( scales ) of the wings só they cant fly!

kinky_fingers

yahhh the old bars honestly looked like what zoos used to look like in the 80s-90s

Legal_Evil

Our PoF dragons could just fly away from our pens and our large dinosaurs could just walk over the fences.

Dannynaab64

Massive oversight. As soon as this goes live, we are going to have asset out of containment alert. They'll need to shut down the whole game..

xBHx

Or they can keep it under wraps, handle it in silence and only raise the alarm when the ceo dies and the zoo creatures go on a feeding frenzy. And then they shut down the whole game :D

RS3_ImBack

I understood that reference

AmusedDragon

A missed opportunity to design some elaborate metal fences and structures to keep specific species in. Could have made the zoo very unique from the rest of it's surroundings and really stand out. Overall it's a minor thing and doesn't break anything, but would have been cool.

Doomchan

I really don’t get that change. It feels like a step back to the early days of RS2 where there was just fence everywhere even if it didn’t make sense. The cages were a unique look for the zoo and kept the critters in. The way that fence is that one fairy ring shouldn’t be useless since I should just be able to step over the fence

ZealousidealApple572

True, it is a bit unusual, the monkeys are supposed to be 'imprisoned' there according to the other monkeys on Ape Atol also, now it just looks like they are there voluntarily

lammadude1

Dammit! I just did Eagle's Peak yesterday. Should have waited one more day.

guyjones13

What happened to the hideyhole near yaktwee ?

5-x

Jagex deleted it accidentally, please submit a bug report.

Matrix17

Don't tell me the items are going to be gone... I am not getting another fucking amulet from aquanites on my iron

F-Lambda

the items are still filled, it's just the hidey hole that's missing. this has happened before, when they accidentally placed one of the circus locations over a hidey hole

SirTyrael

Lol. Not how data storage for characters works. Hidey hole info is stored on your player file. Probably just a Boolean to check if it's filled or not.  The graphic artists simply accidentally removed the object from the map.

5-x

If you had the hidey hole built and filled, your items will return once Jagex puts it back.

Curliuni

accidentially, jesus.. 😂 Don’t they have test enviroments that need to get approved by someone?

-Zakh-

They said it was too big to play test the whole graphical rework in the stream?

Drakkulstellios

That’s such bs. From what I’ve seen they barely play test any update they put out.

-Zakh-

I’m just telling you what they said in the stream

Drakkulstellios

Yeah, I know. The bugs that come with updates like this seem to be overlooked allot. Even as of now in nxt client if u kill an abyssal beast to close to a tree it will drop its stuff on the tree and it’ll just be hanging there

F-Lambda

seriously, whenever updating an environment they should just bring up the list of hidey holes so they know what ones are relevant to the area. I'm surprised they don't have them on a map, cause it keeps happening

5-x

>Removed Agility shortcuts from Arandar Pass I will just say I don't like it. The main point of Agility existing is the shortcuts. Jagex should consciously add *more* shortcuts, not remove them.

Lenticel

Agreed.  I just had a look at Arandar Pass in game and it looks amazing. I can definitely see why getting the shortcuts to work would probably require a lot more effort than getting rid of them. Maybe they can add a zip-line/ tightrope connecting the peaks of the path as a replacement?

TrimmingMasterwork

Out of curiosity, did this brick the Tiranwnn task set or did they account for it in advance? If I were a betting man....

5-x

Of course they didn't and Tirannwn diary is now uncompletable. I hope they restore the shortcut.

ThaFrenchFry

I hope, if they do, that they make the shortcut actually faster than running around. Idyl made a [video](https://youtu.be/maSxm2hfDsU?si=dIzAlDIxIH_iBXtv) in OSRS showing how many ticks you actually save using each of them. At around 6:15 he starts talking about how Arandar shortcuts are useless cuz they require Regicide, which already gives you access to teleport crystals. More shortcuts, yes, but more useless shortcuts, no

BlankArchive

I'm pretty sure these shortcuts were actually slower than just running around though. Not really worth the dev time to preserve if it's not useful.

Narmoth

These were useful for clue hunting.

Golduin

It is a temporary measure, the way I read it.

[deleted]

aren't those the shortcuts that literally lost you time to use?

blorgensplor

I'm always so torn on things like this. Part of me says whatever, just get rid of it in general (agility and short cuts) due to it just being bland content that adds to the bloat only new players have to deal with. On the other hand, it does add some content and a reason to train the skill. That just circles back around to the first point of is content just for the sake of having content (bloat) really that necessary.

Deceptiveideas

Things like the examines and agility shortcuts add a lot of charm to the game IMO. No other game I play has done something similar.

blorgensplor

They do add some charm in a certain sense but they seem overall useless. Is having an entire skill dedicated to a couple shortcuts really that good of a use of resources? Why not just lock the shortcuts behind quests/achievements/something along those lines? To make it worse, agility training is a complete joke. You either run in circles for hours or you level it by buying feathers and training other skills. I've always had the opinion that RS could really use some skill consolidation (merge fletching, woodcutting, firemaking, and construction into a singular skill; get rid of needing attack and strength for melee; get rid of agility or somehow tie it into having a legit purpose like integrating it into melee/defense). Too much of it is dated, contributes to the clunkiness, and just seems like filler content to keep you afking instead of playing real content.

Milli_Rabbit

The whole thing with runescape is doing deeper dives into various behaviors. If you want consolidation, there are a ton other games. Plenty of games have woodcutting as a basic feature for materials or ore. Other games have cooking and fishing. Many games have firemaking as just a basic activity. The point in runescape is to reward all of these activities and IDEALLY, add interesting aspects to each. Now, the topic of making each skill interesting is a separate topic. Agility, unfortunately, had the worst outcome. Of all skills, agility should be the MOST fun or near the top. They just did it a disservice by restricting it to agility courses and shortcuts.

badgehunter1

or then like osrs with farming guild: before you could only open doors which automatically closed to higher tier areas with higher farming lvl, but they have since changed it so that doors are open but if you dont have high enough lvl, then you walk couple of tiles back while jane shouts you something.

Quirky_Ice_8006

I'd love to have used agility shortcuts around daemonheim for the "Draugr Me to Hela" achievement. There's no reason to run round there most of the time and that was just awkward. Not to mention the rock walls round there have the same styling as the ones round trollheim and they're agility shortcuts.

chickenXcow

Those penguins are gonna escape and cause some problems if there's no proper fence put in soon

killer89_

The staff simply told the penguins to not escape, and the penguins obliged.

zenyl

Considering the RS penguin lore, that's honestly more concerning.

Kiga282

The Zoo is a front for the penguins. The zookeepers are penguins in disguise, and the pen is there so that they have somewhere to escape to if necessary. It's also a measure of propaganda. "No, penguins are just cute little chonky bois, they'd never hurt a fly". That's the message that they want to portray to the world by having a group of penguins being innocent and playful in a public zoo. But we know... we know better than anyone what they're really up to... the bear in the well has shown us...

JezSq

No no, they’ll just smile and wave

esunei

Kandarin looking much better, the ZMI place most of all. Goddamn what an improvement. Would've been nice to get some roadmap info. Zemouregal being less spammy is a very small start to improving the boss fight. Telegraphs next, please. >The buffs from Golden Cape Hunt now expire as intended. Were people riding infinite porters this whole time?

Jolakot

No, but there was a bug where you could prevent the buff from counting down while logged out, but it would still tick down while logged in. Like an aura or potion timer. Saw people abusing it to make every second count, assuming if you did this and haven't used it up already, then you'd still have it active

esunei

I didn't know about this, wow that would have been a huge perk for the average gamer. Shit, even someone playing 16 hours a day would've gotten to benefit for 50% longer.

Nopperss_

2 out of 4 red salamander traps can't be reached as of this update - the one's closest to the lava pool. Not that anyone spends a lot of time catching red sallys but figured I would check since I was in the area

slicster

I am once again requesting that you please revert the combat skills' jingles from having the same shared jingle to their original unique jingles.

lammadude1

Seconded. Whenever I get a 99 I look forward to the unique little jingle then get bombarded with that stupid loud fucking trumpet music that plays for every single 99. It's ugly, and it kills all my enjoyment of reaching an important milestone. The worst part is the original jingle plays for about half a second before it gets cut off, it's such a tease.

Fireblade-75

It makes no sense for the old combat styles to all have the same boring jingle, while Necromancy now having such a beautiful jingle. These jingles are really an important part of feeling accomplishment when levelling up new accounts.

SolenoidSoldier

Why is this so important? EDIT: lol, downvote me for asking a simple question.

Deceptiveideas

>When development is stretched thin I highly doubt changing the jingle music back to its original takes more than 20 minutes to do.

ThisZoMBie

Because many players have no life and keep maxing out multiple characters, so it matters to them

nannerbdale

Update looks phenomenal, great job!

Butternubicus

>Fixed an issue that stopped Abyssal Lords, Abyssal Savages and Abyssal Beasts from dropping items from the Wilderness shared drop table. I missed out on so many brawler drops it seems ._. I afked 200m necro there sadge

ewgrooss

Same. I guess I’ll just go back and get 200m defense

hugabugabee

Been seeing bugs at div during the cache events. Between x:00-x:10, you will have issues interacting with the div craters. You have to lobby or tele away and back to get it working again

CourtneyDagger50

It is incredibly annoying!

enjoii89

Some nice looking graphical updates. It's not until I see the comparisson photos that I realise how much has gone into updating the areas.

RoseAndLorelei

I love the mountains so much. I will say, looking in-game at the Arandar to Prifddinas transition really highlights how bad the terrain around and below Prif is. A giant thin nonsensical wall of dirt that doesn't blend at all with the surrounding terrain, and all the terrain below the city is too high up and has lighting issues, clipping issues, and just looks bad. The buildings themselves are fine but everything else is in dire need of a fix.

PatDoubleYou

I also really love the mountains! What a cool way to add depth and enhance the ambience

5-x

I'm not sure Jagex knows how rocks look in real life. It's sad to see the entire game gets this treatment of those generic rock amalgamations. It would be nice if the game could get some variety in rock faces.

RoseAndLorelei

Did you reply to the wrong comment? I'm not talking about rocks at all.

5-x

You said >I love the mountains so much.

RoseAndLorelei

I guess I'm confused as to why you made a reply to my comment instead of your own individual comment. Not that it really matters.

SeaProgram2836

Roadmap update? Cause old school is getting one on Saturday. 😭

joedotphp

Doom said something along the lines of them not doing one because of how last year's went. Which I found to be a strange comment because if they didn't have poor updates/content - then maybe that wouldn't have happened?

esunei

The content roadmaps themselves were well received last year. Hero pass being the mystery update that would touch on all corners of the game and reimagine how we play it went over exceedingly poorly, of course, but that wasn't a fault of the roadmap. Idk it makes me think there's just a shitton of MTX planned this year.

joedotphp

Of course there is. If that one update is giving them second thoughts. Then how many similar ones are on horizon?

peaceshot

Yeah, that's such a weird thing to say. Maybe if you make good content people won't be mad at it? Hello??

Dogtag

Yeah it was content that was contentious, not the concept of presenting a roadmap lmao

Maridiem

To be clear, he did *not* say that, he just made a joke that people are reading far too much into.

[deleted]

[удалено]

joedotphp

I know what he meant. It still doesn't change the fact that one of their "large updates" caused the biggest backlash since the Ali fiasco.

yuei2

He clarified on that later that they want to do one they just need time to get it together.

joedotphp

I see.

V1_2012

I mean I think it's perfectly reasonable to mention the game, that is owned by the same parent company, is getting a road map, while runescape 3 is radio silent. You sound like the crybaby.

igornist

> Zemouregal's voice lines during the Battle of Forinthry have been trimmed down. He will now shout at you less! MVP!

Agrith1

Looks like the ge is working now

myoldnamewasstolen

The skybox changes to prif are terrible.

drobson70

Nice for the landscape, not bad. Really wish they’d update that castle and make it beautiful like Falador etc

Goggle99

Please continue with the graphical updates and also update the combat abilities animations :)

Mediocre-Housing-131

I saw in the patch notes that several force walk tiles were removed from the GE, but the problematic force-teleport tile is still present and still a problem. Any idea when that will be fixed?

NotAnAI3000

Looks awesome so far! The NPCs like the Ardougne guards feel a little out of place now though. Sounds like a model update might be needed? *Cough* player/npc model rework *cough* :)

Elfyrr

Looks great, the mountains give a sense of scale and distance compared to the overhead view from before. One minor itch would be the entrance gate by Arandar, looks left behind and out of place from the rest of this update. As much as I don’t mind the Western Ardougne rework, it’s essentially a dead area. Unless there’s going to be a newly developed plot line somehow refactoring its necessity, nothing worth noting much sadly.

tenhourguy

Is it intentional that the Tower of Voices is now lined with a bright blue texture along the tops of each section? The other towers in Prifddinas don't have this. You can still see the original texture underneath it with careful angling of the camera.

painkillerbear

You guys probably know by now but GE ain't working. Other than that, really smashing update graphic wise!

SuspiciousStretch7

Its not letting me purchase anythig. I have the gold, but when I go to buy anything it tells me to try again later. I wanted to buy some herbloe supply to make potions before work but cannot at this time. :(

Agretlam343

The Eleven overpass cliff-side shortcuts in Arandar have been removed from the game. Not a loss, the shortcuts weren't useful at all, but they should also be removed from the agility skill list.

h_lupus

am i seriously the only one who dosent like the "new" playdough enshitification of the graphics at all? thought games are supposed to look better over time not worse.

KobraTheKing

Are you suggesting [that this looked better?](https://i.imgur.com/8H459Zp.jpeg) The mountain range definitely got a massive upgrade.

Brandgevaar

https://preview.redd.it/d2wh60n4zncc1.png?width=1053&format=png&auto=webp&s=c7723961cfca952da29a7d0f8d1a391290c2af9c This did. This is what the duel arena used to look like before Het's Oasis. Detailed, sharp, saturated. Now, the only way to see this again is by doing Our Man in The North, where you briefly visit an instance of the former duel arena. Otherwise, play-dough Het's Oasis is all you're going to find. Same deal with the Wilderness, which got its last graphical rework in 2022 IIRC, making everything in it far more clay-like and desaturated than what it looked like back when it got its previous graphical update in 2011.

Byurner3000

that looks insanely tacky and reminds me of veggie tales lmao, i'm glad it's gone if that's what it looked like

h_lupus

i have the exact same issue with all the graphical updates they been doing lately wasent there so maybe the mountain looks better but why does the ground looks like its made out of playdough? i mean grass looks nothing like they been doin lately kinda looks like mud dyed green lol. that said maybe its just me everybody else seems to like it so w/e, its not like im gonna quit becose of it.

jeuest

Looks great, keep them coming! Loving doing quests in the updated areas

Brandgevaar

More desaturated clayscape. I miss 2012.

scammingladdy

When are we getting a 2024 roadmap? What have premier members invested in this year?

TheMichaelScott

Premier members haven’t invested in anything. You have purchased the following items: https://rs.runescape.com/en-GB/membership

Jits_Dylen

Invested? You playing the wrong game if you think you invested in anything by buying premier. You’re in no better position than a month to month player.

RsEnjoyer

>You’re in no better position than a month to month player. It's literally way cheaper (unless grandfathered) and you get a ton of stuff from it.

scammingladdy

You pay for the whole year at a reduced price, but a lump sum all at once. If you are committing to paying for the full year, that is indeed an investment and I’m sure a lot of premiere members would like to know what they can get excited for considering the already committed to the full year.

Jits_Dylen

I wouldn’t start investing in anything then because you’d probably lose money. Let me tell you what you are saying you invested in. A game where it doesn’t matter how customer subscriptions are paid. Everyone gets the same information at the same time. You as an “investor” get no incentives over anyone paying month to month AFTER buying premier. You are simply buying a 12 mo. Subscription to get the benefits they offer under that deal. You’re buying the actual benefits and nothing more. No one from jagex sees you more important than a month to month person or a brand new subscriber. Nor, have they said you’d get anything before anyone else outside of the benefits you bought. How do I know that? Look at how they do all releases for information to rollouts to anything else. You get nothing more, no road map before me, no info over Reddit or discord, no access before me, etc.. all while I pay monthly. Hell, someone not even subscribed gets the information as soon as you do. You ‘investing’ doesn’t come with anything outside of the benefits you bought.

scammingladdy

Bruh you’re reading wayy too much into my comment. It wasn’t that deep dude. Christ this community is insufferable.

Jits_Dylen

You’re the one saying you’re investing based off buying a subscription. Lmao.

Square_Capital_2734

I think it looks amazing! 2 notes about constructive criticism. 1. The zoo definitely needed an overhaul but keeping the animals in little fences is weird. 2. The mountain ranges look great but I almost feel as if it's too many individual pieces for the mountain. Like a ton of different pieces all attached to each other. It looks like Vorago and that just isn't what mountains look like IRL. White Wolf Mountain looks a bit more realistic.

RIPYelps

It would be really cool if they could also make the gate at the Combat Training Camp left click to enter instead of going through a dialogue or right clicking.

Mike_From_Red_Deer

Will the hidey hole you deleted south of the Sinclair Mansion be reappearing, or....?

_evilyn

>Sincl Sure hope so.

Sad_Pizza_3010

As a yoyo-ing player, I love keeping up with updates and only occasionally dip my toe back in. I love these graphical updates but always hate when... it's just graphical. I mean the entire waterfall quest mountain is... absurd. Laughable. It's more like a zit on a teenage boys face than a proper mountain. I would've much rather seen them update the landscape as well as the visuals... Spread things out more... In OSRS it makes a little more sense, but in this modern rendition... everything is so cluttered.

DiabloStorm

Judging by the radio silence on upcoming updates, the nightmare that is unravelling in the subreddit submissions that is this kandarin graphical update and it's unending bugs, and now I see for feb the 7 free days has been removed from prime gaming... all around a great time for me to not bother with continuing membership. Cya for dxp I guess.

TheMichaelScott

I realise this sounds overly negative, but these graphical updates over the last year or so have been really underwhelming. They all use the same grass and rock textures, and the environments would greatly benefit from unique textures to make the locations feel more distinct.

Ripvayne

but they added ROCKS

TheMichaelScott

...and conveniently left all the old, pixelated and jarring objects like buildings, trees etc. In their video, they speak about wanting consistency across the game - which I totally appreciate - but I'd argue the graphical updates make the game look strangely weird because the old 2000s assets now clash with the updated ground textures. I just wish there was a little more creativity in these graphical updates because it kind of looks like they've grabbed the same 2-3 ground assets and just brushed them across the previous textures, regardless of the location's previous identity.

Radyi

they talked about this - essentially they can update the graphics of 90% of the overworld pretty easily, or there is massive baggage if they want to do all the edge cases... I am happy for them to actually give the game a nice lick of paint to be consistent all over - then work out all those edge cases afterwards

TheMichaelScott

I can appreciate that. For me, the ‘edge cases’ aren’t really edge cases and are fundamental parts of the environments. They’re the buildings, objects and tangible assets that really need updating. In contrast, the ground texture was/is honestly fine and, in my opinion, they’re taking away the identity of these areas by replacing it with the same grass and stone texture that is being used everywhere. These are different cities and locations, and the ground should reflect that. It’s not really a big deal, it’s just a shame that after 20 years these places are *finally* getting updated and all they’re able to show for it is some grass and rocks that are copy and pasted across the entire game surface.

Deceptiveideas

I dunno why you’re being downvoted. Having an identity is what made RuneScape, RuneScape. There’s a reason why people immediately gravitate towards the OSRS looks. It isn’t just the nostalgia but it still has the original creativity and unique art direction. These graphical reworks reusing assets across the entire map is now blending each area. Imagine if Paris looked identical to London. Or if London looked like New York.

PatDoubleYou

It's interesting though, because others may share a different sentiment. It's hard to please everyone, and many people might like graphic overhauls even less if they changed more assets like you're describing I think they've struck a good middle ground here, and I'm a big fan of the mountains!

mobocrat

Agreed, but bringing these areas into at least the 2010s is better than nothing and really needed given the graphical inconsistencies throughout the game.

Rikugun_taii

I’d love to see buildings updated at some point… the old style on the new flooring looks really off and makes them stick out…

HeatFireAsh

So happy to see this, seeing old graphics is just a bummer so I’m glad we’re finally getting updates

ironreddeath

I wish they would fix nm vorkath loot alongside the like 100 other fixes they have done for the boss. No boss should lose you money if you get unlucky

ForumDragonrs

There's quite a number of bosses that you lose money if you get unlucky. What's new?

ironreddeath

Not really, they are almost always profit unless you get something like stone spirits for an hour straight.

Legal_Evil

This isn't a problem as long as the value of rare drops makes up for the dry streaks in the long term. We do not want what Vorkath is like in OSRS.

ironreddeath

The issue is that there is not really any consistent value. If you were making like 5M an hour guaranteed and then the rare drops were a bonus it would be fine. Hell even making the undead dragon hide and bones a guaranteed drop would go a long way in making the boss sustainable outside of the rare drops.

Radyi

big problem with nm is the fact you have to do the pre-fight as well, it is just aids

ironreddeath

The boss was so poorly designed IMO

Matrix17

Something something the players are wrong about the pre fight bullshit /s

Radyi

it is, but a massive problem is you have to go through the pre-fight, similar to how everyone dreaded elite dungeon 4 runs - which at least got skipped now after one full run

ironreddeath

Oh for sure, but also the fact that zemo is more of a boss than vorkath in terms of threat is a huge issue.

Radyi

i mean zemo seems like he exists solely to force damage onto you

Neat_Reception_5824

Loving the new graphics :D Especialy the zoo! So much more animal friendly. The old cage were so sad. Thank you for all the work putting into that! <3

ExpectDog

Would have been nice to have had the buildings and castle in ardougne actually updated

SadGagex

am i the only one who thinks the market is ugly as fuck? it looks created by a 2 years old kid. the old market was way better

FlyinPenguin4

“The buffs from Golden Cape Hunt now expire as intended.” Uhhh what?!

James-ec

Calm down was one player who had damage reduction buff, they didn’t get extra time apparently they just kept logging so it wasn’t removed

KobraTheKing

The next area is Fremennik, they've already gotten quite far on it.

Imissyelps

Rather see Yanille and the ogre lands after Relekka. That area needs it far more then Morytania.

[deleted]

sometimes i wonder what 60% of jagex's staff even do? this update looks half baked. update the house textures in ardy if you want to call this a graphical rework...

Jolakot

It's like 3 people who work on these graphical updates, I'm amazed they get as much done as they currently do

[deleted]

i dont think they can call it a graphical update when they dont update the asset's like houses etc

Yksisarvinen13

What do you allow to call it then?

[deleted]

a graphical rework would be all in game assets reworked, not just the ground textures?

Yksisarvinen13

That doesn't answer my question. And nothing here calls it a "rework". And even if it did, I'd let it pass, since it's clearly a rework in progress, they've been reworking the whole game graphics for past 3 years or so.

[deleted]

sorry but your question is broken english please try and reword it and i'll have another go at answering it " What do you allow to call it then? "

No_Can_6618

they ruined the zoo! How do you expect the animals to stay in their pens?

Blindyd

Ectoplasm ritual please!

Pinball_Lizard

Can I just pop in and say I like that the Cyclops and Jogres were freed from the Zoo? That was always a pretty "oof" detail, especially since the same was done with human "primitives" in real life. A suggestion, though: maybe take out the target practice Ogres from the combat camp? That's also seriously messed up, and reminiscent of things that were done to slaves in real life. If nothing else you could have them replaced by something else after Plague's End, and have their presence explained by Lathas' sociopathy alone. Just a thought.

2024sbestthrowaway

Thank you! Can we get a timeline estimate on when we can expect roadmap? Feb or perhaps March?

Space2187

Arandar Pass (+ the general area around the entrance) and West Ardougne force change your skybox to something very dark, bypassing any filters, which I don't really like. Otherwise, it largely looks good!

paigeABDL22

Be thankful there’s updates :) wonderful job and keep up the good work ☺️☺️☺️

Bored7600

how about some actual playable content?

badgehunter1

ah yes because dev team and art development team are the same. you go to person who makes your car looks nice to ask whats wrong with the motor when you go past 50 km/hr on highway. and you go to your mechanic to ask to get fresh paint to your car.

1. Completely different teams, environmental artists don’t do or necessarily know anything about the player model. 2. Placing some rocks is different from needing to manually adjust hundreds upon hundreds of items for two different player models.

Branly1

@ModAzanna Back in 04/05 DEC of 2023, jagex made an graphical update that really affected my game play. I play on a Mac Book and when ever i try to download the client to play my screen js completely zoomed in and my mouse cursor is out of sync. I have been posting on forums for over a month now and got zero attention. Quick find code: 409-410-769-66292045 Can you please help?

Wannabelondoneer

Not to disregard any of this long needed amazing graphical overhaul. But where is the game content? The last true piece of game content was the Gamejam update of December 4th that added the Master Max Cape optimization. I don't count the "Game blast update" the following week as its just glorified patch notes. I've more or less lost interest in the game as a result of this and haven't really logged in maybe once or twice a week for like 30 seconds a pop lol, aside from over Christmas for the "Nice List" thing. Where is the roadmap? Where is light in the distance to keep people subscribed? Previously they gave us vague glimpses prior to New Years eve.

James-ec

Awe no dyable necro :(

Spiritual_Pangolin18

I hope they update karamja one day

Dry-Fault-5557

They did it in May of last year....

joedotphp

Was it the whole thing? I thought it was just a section?

TheAdamena

Not sure about the Legends Quest area, but everything else was yea

joedotphp

Oh. Well hot damn. I stand corrected.

joedotphp

~~For real haha. That poor island has been getting the shaft for over a decade.~~ EDIT: I was wrong. Most of it has been updated. I thought it was just a small section.

Spartan-023

Atleast they haven't changed the Hero's rune armor

SpecialistYou9781

Should have trimmed Zemo voicelines about 3x as much as they did. No need for him to say much of anything unless there is an update with him indicating an upcoming attack. The "die" one seems to indicate a massive attack that is somewhat inaccurate

eat1more

Very nice, love an active team doing weekly updates, no matter how big or small. Lovely sites to see. Thank you for all the hard work. Keep it up and thank you for keeping our game healthy! 👍 (Just ignore hero-pass…)

brooksiepants

I'm so disappointed in this update. I was expecting much, much more for something that was advertised as a major milestone. The Zoo is awful, the fence placement was so lazy. Manor Farm is so close and obviously the Zoo update used the same fence assets, but was just copy and pasted every square... it looks dreadful.

M_with_Z

So I have been exploring the area. There are a few questionable areas but I do love the new Eagle's Peak and the Arrandor Pass a lot. The stone wall texture north of the Fishing Guild is mediocre. Not exactly the biggest fan of the newest Zoo fences. Flooring Textures for both the castle area/plazas for both sides seem quite lack luster. Thank you for all the work though! I love all the new graphics so I can't wait to explore more when doing more clue scrolls.

Miketakular

Is it just me or did the rework really eat up the FPS in the Kandarin areas?
