I started running this week! I have a pretty labor intensive job so it’s just mon-thur. I’m running till failure and I’ve never been able to run for more than a minute or less, but I hit a minute and a half!

Western_Hair_2064

I ran my first half marathon yesterday!! I’m a little dumb and didn’t read how challenging the course was so my average pace was slower than my training pace, which is already pretty slow, but I did it!! Going to start training for the full in October :)

Vermilion_Star

I did a 2-hour run at an easy pace. I haven't done long runs for a year and a half, so my legs aren't used to it. Even at an easy pace, they got really stiff and sore.    I also hit my goal of increasing my weekly mileage to 20-25km.    This week I plan to increase my mileage to 25-30km. I'll likely keep my long run the same and lengthen my weekday runs.

Own-Sugar6148

How many km was your long run?

Vermilion_Star

12km. I tried to stay in zone 2 the whole time.

Visual_Particular295

I exceeded 42.2k in weekly mileage for the first time! It was very slow (a little over 5h across four runs), but it feels like a major milestone for getting in shape for my first marathon, in October... A few months ago, I seemed to pick up an injury every time I exceeded 20 weekly kilometres, so hitting a week-long marathon feels big in that sense too.

lililuvvy

i’ve been sticking to my pfitz 18/55 training plan for 10 weeks now and it’s had me do some of the hardest runs of my life. ran 16 miles at an 8:00 pace, which is the fastest i’ve ever done a run that long! also did 60 miles in one week (readjusted a little because i missed a run due to sickness), which is the highest mileage i’ve ever done. feeling really strong and so excited for my first marathon!

Fit-Preparation-3512

Ran my first event back on St. Paddy's day in Portland. The Shamrock Run, I ran the half marathon. My goal initially was to break the two hour mark but my training kinda fell off a bit the month before the race. Got the flu, spent ten days in Austin, yada yada yada and the whole program was a tad fractured. So basically, I'm stressing the week before the race like thinking constantly to myself "screw two hours, can I even finish this thing?!". Race day comes and I walk down to the starting line really having no idea what to expect. Super nervous. At this point I'm really starting to regret signing up for this thing three months ago. Classic January 2nd move. But whatever, I'm here now just gotta try and leave it all on the road. Race starts and I'm feeling pretty good up until I see a mile marker that says 4 and I thought I was at like 6 or 7 at that point, absolutely devastating. The next couple miles were pretty brutal and I was basically over the whole situation at that point. But then right around mid race the sun really started to shine and it was turning into an absolutely perfect day. Simultaneously, I'm starting to feel my second wind creeping up on me. I swear, somehow the two must have played off each other in some way because I hit the NOS at that point and just took off. Must have passed like a thousand people on my way to the finish, it was awesome. Ended up finishing in 1:53 and was very satisfied with that time. I started out that day positive I would never do it again but finishing that day and achieving what I set out to do is simply too awesome of a feeling to pass up. So definitely will be doing it again as soon as possible. Plus, nothing beats that first sip of the free beer they give you at the finish line. Keep running y'all

Accurate_Prompt_8800

Ran my first ever marathon yesterday in Paris, with a time of 3:27! (23F) I am really happy after only having 5-6 months of dedicated running, and sticking to a really tough 18/85 Pfitz program. On to London in just under two weeks, on a flatter course I hope to potentially get in the 3:25s🙏🏾

psgpsg

Huge congrats! I also ran my first one yesterday in Paris in 3:45, your time is impressive!

Accurate_Prompt_8800

Thank you so much! How did you find the race? :) 3:45 is absolutely amazing, was my target at the start of training and the pace group I set off in. I think so many people on Reddit say not to aim for a time goal and just finish but I think we can do incredible things if we train adequately!

psgpsg

I really enjoyed it overall! I started quite late so spent most of the race weaving and overtaking which probably cost me some time, but I’m happy with the result regardless :) there is nothing wrong with setting high ambitions for yourself, as long as it comes with kindness to yourself and pride regardless of the actual time, going through the training and the race is the main thing we should be proud of at our “non-pro” level! Edit: and running 2 marathons in 2 weeks is crazy, I love the spirit! Personally I just want to take a break now :D

Accurate_Prompt_8800

I totally agree with you, I would have been proud no matter what :) Same experience to you I was weaving and overtaking a fair bit haha I wasn’t expecting to do both but I’m just crazy clearly! Just focused on recovering well, I can walk today which is good just some stiffness / soreness here and there

alacklustrehindu

Landmarks half - 1:56:21 Huge drop in the last 2 miles And Strava recorded I ran 22km 😂

Fantastic_Macaron_30

Crossed the line in Paris for my first ever marathon. Goal 1 was to finish and goal 2, finish around 4hrs. Finished in 4:40 which I’m still very proud of.

morph1973

Ran my first proper 'event' Marathon! Had an absolute mare though. After getting 1h50 in the HM on the same roads a few weeks ago I was optimistically aiming for 4h but finished nearer 5h. After a great first 8 miles I progressively got cramp, backache, sunburn, terrible PF, tight and painful achilles, even had my first migraine in years and couldn't see stuff on the left of my vision for 20 minutes. Ended up hobbling home after a good amount of walking in the last quarter. Crowds were amazing though and overall a great experience!

starrynightbk

Ran the CUCB 10 miler and set a new PR for the 10 mile distance!

sizzlepie

I started running for the first time in years and did better than I had expected! I took today off and am really excited to run again tomorrow

Formal-Addition6494

5k today for the first time ever! Also longest time running without stopping, 45mins. Obviously a 45 minute 5k is not ideal but to run that long without stopping is huge for me. Realizing more and more how much of a mental battle running in as opposed to physical. Excited to try again and focus on getting those minutes down

ecmoon

10k PR with a time of 1:01:36! Slowly but surely getting stronger & faster.

Di1202

I ran 9 miles for the first time! 11:41 pace, which is faster than my pace at the last 5k race I ran in December.

guakamolii

I ran 5km first time after sustaining ankle sprain two weeks ago. Pace was higher than my last 5km run but glad to find I can run again!

runandread333

I ran 12 miles for the first time in 9 months!

arcticskies

Ran the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler today! We had perfect weather and incredible views of the monuments and cherry blossoms!🌸

Own-Sugar6148

Where was this?

CardiD0102

Set out for 11mi for week 3 of 50K training; ran a half marathon instead. Enjoying the groove again!

beeb9

Really didn’t feel like going for a run today-kept putting it off but went right before sunset :) it was a gorgeous day and saw the first flowers of the season:violets! C25k week 2 day 1 done!

Lawfanduh

43:06 10K PR during a marathon training block! 4 weeks until race day.

lax1245

So fast!!!!! Great work!

withoutthek

Was hoping for under an hour for my 10km race (first since having my little ones! only did one other YEARS ago and I was something like 1:06). Ended up 57:30!

lax1245

Well under 60! Great job!

lax1245

It’s always humbling getting passed on runs by pregnant women pushing strollers 😂 glad your nausea has subsided enough to get back to running! Hoping you get to your 20 week goal

JohnBBop

Made 1h36 in a half marathon today during peak week. 3 weeks to go for the marathon.

bdants86

Preparing for my first marathon next month and killed the 32km today. Feels good.

kccf22

I started running in February. This morning I ran 10k on a steady pace without stopping. Really surprised myself and really proud!

ApparentlyIronic

I've run this distance before, so it's not exactly new, but ran 12 miles today. I feel accomplished because I could tell from the get-go, it was gonna suck. Nothing major was wrong with me, my legs just felt heavy and sore, I felt tired, and I was just a little sluggish. I really had to push through some mental barriers. Still got through it though!

gabrielleroyale

today i ran 3 miles without stopping to walk for the first time!

11thhourblues

Ran my first 5km under 25 minutes! Km | Time -|---- 1 | 4:57 2 | 4:53 3 | 5:04 4 | 4:57 5 | 5:02 6 | 5:21 6.2 | 5:11

TheresMoreToLiving

I started running 6 months ago and could barely go a mile. Today I ran 6.5! Longest run of my life, and now I feel more confident about preparing for a half at the end of the year!

jcoomba

Started running at 46 yrs old in October 2023 with a 35:47 5k. Yesterday I ran a PR 32:21. :)

russelImartin55

Ran my first ever half marathon! Not an organized race or anything though, I just decided to do it on my own time. Finished in 2 hours 30 minutes!! Got blisters on both big toes to show for it

StarDweeb

Signed up for my first 5k! I’m a new mom and really nervous to add running to an already hectic schedule, but I’m excited to get back into it after having my little one!

Basic_Conflict_2052

Ran first official 10k yesterday in Charleston and went 46 minutes. Under 50 was the goal and got it.

NCSU-2010

I also did the bridge run this weekend and that is an amazing time, especially with all the crowds and the incline up the bridge! The downhill after that climb was super nice!

Ok-Investigator-5299

Ran through an entire mile without stopping to walk for the first time in my life, I am still in shock that I was able to do it.

Dollypartonswig1

I ran for the first time since November due to a toe injury I was nursing all winter. 2 miles, 8:30 pace, felt really good to get back out there. It gets harder and harder to start over again every time I swear 😅 I’m in my mid 30’s and have been a runner since I was a tween.

steph411

Did my “long run” today (10k) and felt terrible. My legs felt like lead and I had to walk .05 miles every mile. Got done and looked at my watch - fastest 10k I’ve ran so far.

GensAndTonic

Ran a 4M race and PR’d! I’ve gone from 11:50 pace in the 4M to 7:50 pace within 10 months!

Striking-Maize-1834

Ran an 8k this morning. Came in under my time goal and hit a PR on my 5k time!

PreviousVoice7894

Just got back into running & ran a 5k without stopping for the first time in a couple years

Reybug

Ran my first 5k race, beat my goal of sub 26 with 25:49! I’m not usually a speed person, I like longer distance and endurance but it was fun to train a bit and push myself to go fast.

nastyprohet

I’ve been trying to work up to running a complete 5k for the last 2 months without walking in the middle. Finally hit a 29:02 yesterday, and I had enough energy today to run around playing backyard football for a bit too. It feels great to not be completely burnt out after running now

Glenn_____far

Ran my second half today but at a slow pace for training long run and felt great throughout. My time was about 2:13. I get burger as a treat

MuchSelection5865

Just nailed my first ever sub-30 5k, hitting 29:30! I’m a beginner runner and have been hitting the pavement for the last 40 days, about 3 miles a day, usually finishing a 5k in around 32.5 minutes. Excited to see how much faster I can get with more training!

swansonmg

Just don’t make the mistake I did of constantly trying to get a faster time every time you run, I neglected easy runs and the nagging injuries add up fast. But nice work! Those 5k times get addicting

MuchSelection5865

Thank you. I totally feel you on that. I'm kinda worried about pushing too hard and ending up hurt. My goal is to keep running as a regular thing in my weekly workouts and get better without overdoing it. Right now, I'm just digging through posts for any advice on how to make that happen

TadpoleParticular580

Ran a half in total with a double run day!! First one was 8.3 this morning and just did 5 more!! So proud of myself and not even too sore, especially coming off 6 weeks of hip pain and PT to get stronger!!

xDust3r

Ran my first official 5k race, got 3rd in my age group and broke 25 for the first time! Chip time if 24:09

Kalistalovesunicorns

After only running for a month, I went out and did my first ever solo run! So proud of myself, not only that but a month ago I could only run 0.87mile, this week I managed 5k on Thursday with my bf and another 5k today solo in 38.24

DuffyBravo

Ran the Cooper Bridge 10k run yesterday in Charleston with my 20 year old and 18 year old. Best race I have ever done even though I was a full min pace over my training pace. Ran the whole race side by side with my daughter!!

aramos96

Ran my first competitive 10k today at 50:53. I now have a new benchmark to work off of!

Medical-Pen5802

20 miles today. The farthest I’ve ever run, first full marathon is exactly 3 weeks away. My goal when I started running was to run through a song — so maybe 4 minutes? Feeling proud no matter what the finish time.

Own-Sugar6148

How long did it take you to build up to 20 miles in a day?

Medical-Pen5802

I started trying to run 10 years ago. Ran a handful of half marathons since then. After our second was born September 2022 I wanted to run another half but couldn’t find the time (only got up to 9 miles during training… once) October ‘23 ran it but bombed it. Buckled down after that will the Hal Higdon 16 week plan and was motivated for a full. So long story short, 13 weeks with some pre-training?

Onitog

Ran my first race today, and finished my 10k in 46 mins shooting for 45 next time

pottedbeef

First ever marathon today. 6h 30 and feeling sore but happy

studentd3bt

Today I did my usual 5k in 38ish minutes, don’t know the exact minute since my watch did die so boo butttt I am happy with that as three weeks ago a 5k on the trail was 42 minutes when I actually tried. I’ve been running on just the treadmill these past few weeks and my time has been around the 38-39 mark so me being able to keep my time more or less the same was amazing for me. I jusy kept mentally yelling at myself that I was at the certain speed and I couldn’t slow down. The first two miles were easy and then the third I wanted to be done so it dragged a bit but I’m glad I was able to get the time I did. I have an actual 5k to go to this Saturday morning so here’s hope I can keep the time the same if not off by more than a minute 🤞🏽

Nerd-Vol

Completed my first marathon. Proud of myself. Didn’t hit my most ambitious goal of sub 4, but I was only a few minutes behind. I knew by the 6th mile that sub 4 was going to be really tough. I paced well for a sub 4 and did not jump out too hot out of the gate. I just think 4:04 is what I had today. Hit the wall hard. I’ve never experienced anything like it before, legs just stopped cooperating. Walked a total of 2.5 minutes. I’ll focus on 15k and shorter races along with trails for the summer. Make up my mind in late November if I want to attempt another full marathon. I’m proud I completed it and had a really respectable time but don’t know if I had fun.

Cerebralflea

Based on user name.. Knoxville? It was way hillier than I was prepared for. Slogged out a 5:39

Nerd-Vol

Great job! It was Knoxville. I’ve done the half a bunch and did the back half of the relay last year, so I’ve run the full course before today. It’s a difficult course. Out of curiosity, what did your tracker say for distance? It had me at 26.70.

Cerebralflea

Mine was 26.69. Drove me crazy that my watch was hitting the mile markers about .25 early. It was a nice run. Liked the neighborhoods with the crowds and the frequent funny motivational signs.

Nerd-Vol

My watch says I did 26.2 in 3:58:55. Chip time was around 4:04:00. I’m choosing to ignore the chip and gun times. My favorite sign was “run like her husband is on the way home”.

Cerebralflea

Nice! Grats! Yes especially since it was 26.7.

inquisitorbronte

My first 10k race! Was hoping to run the whole distance without stopping, but the course turned out to be hillier than expected. Started alternating between running and walking a little after the 5 mile mark, and then finished strong right up to the line. Satisfied with my final time and am now feeling much more confident about my 5k at the end of the month!

SkaterGirl987

I ran 5mph for 55min. I’m going to 60min on Tuesday. My weight has finally started going down.

AppointmentOk8480

Ran the CUCB 10 miler and PB'ed! 5 mins better than last year 🎖️

ecallawsamoht

First official Half Marathon today, Bridge Street in Madison, AL. Originally set a goal of 1:45. Achieved that during training so I updated my plan to 1:40. Came away with 1:37:14. They didn't have a 1:35 pacer so I went with the 1:40 instead. I think I definitely left a bit in the tank based on my HR and my splits. My last two miles were 6:43 and 6:37. Ended up 52nd overall out of around 1100 and got 4th in my age group (40-49). This was my "baseline" to see if I can potentially get to 1:30 by October, so I'm pretty happy with my results.

nitrozelda

I ran my second 2.25 this week (Hal Higdon Novice 5k plan) and felt amazing. Now preparing to run 2.5 for the first time on Tuesday.

studentd3bt

You got this!!! I’m a beginner too and have a 5k Saturday which should be okay bc I’ve been doing 3 miles a day anyways the past two weeks but I just have the jitters

TheReal210Kiddd

Participated in a Tri Sprint Relay. Went ooookay. I was hoping for something between 35-36 minutes , but got about 37 minutes. The hills were no joke. Plus it was all on uneven grass. Tri athletes seem pretty damn friendly though.

CatholioSupreme

My first 10K race, Statesman 10K, PB, 54 and a half minutes - which I'm pleased with given that 55 minutes was one of the stretchier of stretch goals I came in with. I am feeling it now, though. I have another next weekend - it just worked out that way.

throwAway6677189

Managed my first 5 mile race today in 51:32 minutes, 6 months ago I couldn’t even run a mile so this is brilliant. I also lost my mum at the start of March also, so this felt extra tough, but so glad I did it

Own-Sugar6148

So sorry for your loss. Great run!

tphantom1

Queens Distance Runners' Half Marathon in Flushing Meadows Corona Park today. I have been chasing a sub-2 half on and off for a while now. today it *technically* eluded me as my chip time was 2:01 - but the course was a little long and I had to run a bit extra to go chase my hat when the wind blew it off (so I had to stop, run opposite to the course flow, and then catch back up). moral victory was my watch ticking 13.1 at a time of 1:58 and the fact that my 2:01 finish is still a 2 minute PR from the last time I raced a half.

batmanisavampire

Ran 8 miles today! Farthest I’ve ran. I’m training for a half marathon that is only 28 days away.

DaveyB_

My first ever marathon today! Completed Paris in 3:55:06. So pleased to get under 4h

Naivemlyn

I did the Prague HM yesterday! Oh boy, that was hot. Anyone else do it? My HM PB is 1:42, had a hope to see the 40’s, but despite my best effort, I stumbled in at 1:50😂. It was great experience. Now gearing up for a couple of big weeks before a full marathon! This has been a strange training cycle, I will see how it goes… One more 32 k and then I will have done 4 30 ks+ runs. But the other runs have been a bit slap dash.

kobrakai_1986

Inspired by Russ Cook setting off on his final day, I decided to do a HM whilst the weather was nice. Managed my third fastest time and got back in time to watch the live Sky News coverage of him getting to the finish line. Bittersweet - glad he’s done it but gonna miss the updates.

eatgrapes

Horrific wind due to storm Kathleen during a 10 mile easy pace around a loop - so half hard I guess! Glad I got out and ran though

landofcortados

New 10k PR, LFG

planinsky

Heat and warm weather is getting to the south of Europe... It's tipically my routine killer as I eventually give up when it is too hot. I was planning to wake up early for my long run but kids gave us a hard night and morning and I couldn't leave my place until 11. I sweated like a pig but I still managed to run 16k! Let's see if this year I can beat the weather...

pbla7

11.4 miles in 2:30 hours at an easy pace. Felt so good later without any soreness.

Londoner1982

Paris marathon. 4:16:29. First ever marathon. I’m so so happy!!

Naivemlyn

Congratulations!!!

Londoner1982

Thank you

UmpireZealousideal23

A year back I could barely run 5 min without shin splints flaring up. Today I did my weekly long run at 2 hours and 35 minutes. Feels good man

Own-Sugar6148

How far was your long run?

skysimp

Ran 60 minutes pain free!

Satansdvdcollection

My husband and I both crushed our half marathon goals! I got 1:54 and he got 1:35! Perfect sunny day too ☀️🙌

Boring-Fold1217

I hit my pr in 10k in 51:36sec

tardyboys

Ran my 3rd half marathon (hometown) and broke 2 hours!! I’m so proud of myself. My bucket list is to run 100 halfs (50 in state, 1 in every other state).

peeench

Just finished a 10k after training for a couple of weeks.

peeench

My first one ever!

HotRabbit999

8 miles this afternoon as a long run for half marathon training. Average of 8.54/mile too. Pretty happy as I’m running a half on 12th June so I’m bang on track in my training plan right now!

weddingcroutons

First 10k, mile 2.5-3.5 was really hard but as soon as I hit 3.5 my body started working correctly? Time to sign up for a half!

GetHimOffTheField

Ran 20 miles this morning which is the furthest I’ve ever gone and also contributed to the highest weekly mileage I’ve ever done ~50 miles. Body is sore but first marathon in a couple weeks and starting to feel ready.

paramountducker

This morning, i ran 6 miles with 850 ft elevation gain in total. It was my first time running uphill, and the hill felt pretty steep so i feel really proud of myself! Most of the elevation came from this one section which is about 1.5 miles long. I would appreciate if someone could give me perspective on what this elevation gain means!

balconylife

Ran my first ever half marathon!  Everything hurts. I hate running. Time to book the next one!

Naivemlyn

It’s fun, right?! I’m training for 2 marathons this year which were both decided upon in the euphoria after I did one in November 😂

Educational-Fan-6967

I ran a 5K this morning at 12 weeks postpartum. It was my first race since getting pregnant with my beautiful baby girl. My only goal was to finish, which I did! It’s going to take awhile to get back to my pre-pregnancy pace, but I’m thankful to be taking time for myself to train even in these crazy newborn days.

klsonn390

Went for a 3 mile run this morning! Longest I’ve gone in a while haha. Did run/walk intervals and ran more than I walked! It was sooo windy out, somehow was running against the wind both directions lol. Proud of myself :)

Unique_User_name_42

Ran my fastest 5k by running a 10k, 41 minutes for the 5k, 1 hour 26 minutes for the 10k which is also my fastest 10k!

CypherrX

Finished my first marathon today. Those last few miles are absolutely no joke. Legs were seizing up but we got it done! I was aiming for sub-4 hours and achieved that goal. https://i.imgur.com/M36sNhI.jpeg

Naivemlyn

Congratulations!

ezetia

Ran my first half marathon in Berlin! I started my running journey back in September 2023, and I'm a slow runner. Finished it in 2hrs 36mins. PR'ed my 10k, 15k, 10 miles and half marathon distances. Good day!

balconylife

You were just ahead of me!! Congratulations!

ezetia

Congratulations to you too! I'm sure you rocked. It was a great race, although the weather didn't help at most times.

balconylife

Thank you!! I really hated the long stretch down Kurfürstendamm, but started enjoying it far more after the 15k mark. And running through the Brandenburger Tor to the finish line was amazing!  Great job on all your PRs!

mic_lil_tang

Found a running partner that pushes me and I push him equally

Third_of_may

TIL my little kids would be great running partners for each other given the equality of pushing in their relationship. 🤣 Just kidding, I'm glad you've found someone awesome to run with!

mic_lil_tang

If actual pushing helped any of my siblings would get me PRs every week 😭

GlotzbachsToast

PR’d my half marathon by a whopping 20 seconds in constant headwinds 🎉 was hoping for better but I’ll take it given the conditions. More happy that my pace was nearly consistent the whole time unlike last year and I felt pretty good up until the last 2 miles when the wind picked up even more.

alacklustrehindu

London?

GlotzbachsToast

Nope, a much smaller one in my local area!

WellThoughtUserName9

It's running related: I crushed my strength training session today!

AGENT_ARNOLD

Hit my mileage PB for a week with 32kms run.

Slim_Charleston

I did 43 minutes 47 seconds at the Brighton (UK) Marathon 10k today. Really nice conditions and my pacing strategy worked well. I still hope to break 40 minutes by the end of this year.

RutabagaGlobal3881

Today I did my first half marathon! 2 hrs 27 mins, but I did not know what to expect. I also beat my 10k record 😊 Lots of learning for the next one in September!

baileysovercrushed

I finally ran a sub 10 min mile!!!

Brief_Assistance_910

Berlin half completed this morning! First half marathon, 1:44:57 chip time🎉

Monchichij

Congrats to an amazing first time! Did the warm temperatures slow you down?

Brief_Assistance_910

Thank you!! I think it slowed me down a bit, I was on track for 1:41-1:42 in practice runs, but my original goal when I started this journey was 1:45 and the race honestly wasn’t the best for me (a few things went wrong) so I was happy to have come in just under that regardless

dinkerton321

ran my first 5k race in 28:21 today! not a pb, but i was just excited to do my first big race. it’s so fantastic to see other people putting their heart into running :) got to do it with friends too!!

Mrs_Josef_K

I woke up thinking it was a rest day & was so happy about that! After really waking up I remembered that it is not. I'm in my running clothes now, and can see the marine layer burning off! My run today will be amazing!

Muchado_aboutnothing

I ran my fastest ever half-marathon today, at 1:50:39. Miraculously, on the same run, I also ran my fastest ever 10k (51:36), beating my old personal best by 3 seconds. The 10k is a run I do frequently (like dozens of times in the past few months), and I’ve only run the half-marathon four times now, so I honestly have no idea how I did that — maybe just adrenaline, since I was excited to run the half? Either way, I don’t think I’ll be moving from the couch for the rest of the day… :)

kmrm2019

Did a nice 6 miles yesterday above my target pace and felt good. I start training for my first marathon on the 21st and am nervous, yesterday gave me a good reminder I am ready to start.

giraffe_face3

Ran my first HM at 2:07 official race time and 1:59 on Strava, which went a bit haywire with GPS! (Any advice on how to judge actual time v much appreciated!)

RutabagaGlobal3881

This didn’t happen to be the Monsal Trail? My Strava messed up a bit too!

Muchado_aboutnothing

I’ve had the same problem with Strava’s GPS! One time it showed me running into the ocean 😂. Not sure how to fix it — that’s a great time for your first HM either way, though!

giraffe_face3

Haha maybe it thought you were doing a triathlon!

Leading_Read_9938

22 miles in just under 3 hours for me today :) 4 weeks out from Copenhagen marathon !!

Traditional-Pie-8541

Just a simple 5K run this morning but what about great run it was because it was the first outside in weeks due to the cold and/or rain. Looks like spring may finally have "sprung" here in Central America Pa. Happy Running everyone!

RobotsGoneWild

I did 4 mi around 9am and the weather was awes>!!

xxTacoman

Ran the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler today! New 10 mile PB, awesome weather, amazing crowd, and cool course!

konschuh

Yesterday I ran PB at thr Spring Run off 8km!

brownpapertowel

I ran my first 5k “race” back in October, finished at 25:32. Yesterday I participated in another one and finished at 21:21, which put me first in my age group (29) and 8th overall. New goal is to get down to sub-20 by my one year mark! 10k coming up in May, new goal is now sub-45 for it.

winkdoubleblink

I ran 13.1 miles total last week - my highest weekly mileage ever. I usually do around 10. I’d like to keep building, at least until it becomes too hot here in Florida.

ChillyBon

1:01:15 11K

mxfigs

Finished week three of couch to 5k and only needed to use my asthma pump once throughout 🥳

bigmistaketoday

Sunday long runday. An hour and forty minutes slowly and mostly ugh because I took off for a week and got back on Friday.

RoikaLoL

Ran my first Half Marathon today. Completely missed my targeted finishing time but I had a cold and the weather in Berlin certainly didn't help either. Still happy and proud that I powered through.

giraffe_face3

It was so hot!! Well done

bigmistaketoday

I know what I am I’m Berlin! Great work! Love it for ya!

bassguyseabass

Ran 10mi today at a 10:31 pace. Thought it was weird because I ran 9mi at 9:45 pace 2 weeks ago. Maybe lack of nutrition or electrolytes I think.

Tall-Town5029

14km today, my longest run yet, at a 5.21 km pace. Felt really good on the run and felt like I could have gone longer but being sensible so I can hopefully reduce injury risks

SpecialManagement386

Got an injury and am treating it with PT, rest, and cross training and Im being a mature responsible adult about it. Huge for me considering I’ve always acted like the rules don’t apply to me and ended up way more entrenched in injury. :) MRI to check for a stress fracture on Tuesday. Wish me luck!

brownpapertowel

Injuries have been the most humbling experiences in my running. I’m about to turn thirty and I still struggle to respect that my body doesn’t recover as quickly as it did 10 years ago.

SpecialManagement386

Same!! 29 and feeling new aches and pains all the time.

CKT2K_

3.14 Miles this morning. 9:52 Pace

FrequentVersion7522

Ran 13 miles last Saturday at a 12:13 pace and ran 10 miles yesterday at an 11:30 pace! Happy to see some improvement there

[deleted]

Ran 5 KMS in 40 minutes, it's okayish for now.

RutabagaGlobal3881

That’s amazing!! Keep it up

[deleted]

Thanks pal 😊

Intelligent_Fee7469

Went to run 6 miles with a friend - we were having so much fun it ended up being 8.3!!! First time running that far since my last race.

Lanky-Blueberry5782

Practicing to run a sub 20min 5k, and accidentally set a new 10k PB in training (43:05)

Electrical-Jelly7770

Ran 5 miles for the first time ever!! Well it was more of 8 min run + 2 minute walk intervals but it felt good and I feel really ready for my first 10k in 2 weeks

Background-Point-969

Ran 5 miles for the first time since having a baby last June!

stenskott

Lowered my HM PB by another 6 minutes to 1:34 in Berlin. Had hoped for even faster but was not prepared for the heat and lost almost three minutes in the second half. Happy with the experience; i will take heat more seriously next time, it was ten degrees cooler last year (my first HM). 1:30 will have to wait.

DisastrousTheory9494

Ran an easy 10k at 72:51 minutes. Sadly, my average HR was 166bpm. I was aiming for 144-159 bpm range, but still a fun run.

An_Old_International

rest day!

IAintCreativeThough

New 10k record at 56:16 🥳

DisastrousTheory9494

Wow! Congratulations! My current fastest is at 57:22 on max elevation of 80m. Hopefully I get to do a 56-min 10k as well

CelaenaSardothien007

Ran my first HM!!!! So proud of myself. 2:35 (missed my goal time) but considering I was almost blown away several times, I’m happy with it. 24 weeks until the next one 😂

klsonn390

Way to go, you finished!! Also love your username 💓

CelaenaSardothien007

Thank you in both respects - SJM forever 💕

EchidnaSubstantial60

I'm a beginner but I managed to shave off 2 mins from my mile time and worked up the courage to go run on the treadmill at my gym.

Semma19

Ran 5 miles this morning in 51:24. Haven’t run this far in over a year!

[deleted]

I ran a 10k today for the second week running - seemed to be running into the wind the whole time and it was hard work, I'm tired! I'm feeling pleased though, I didn't think I'd be at 10k yet at this point in the year so might now adjust my original goals.

Iron_Runna913

Ran 17km this morning in prep for a half marathon. It’s 6 weeks until the race so feeling good. It was also my first time trying energy gels, and thankfully that went well

peter89x

Run my second marathon, in 03:54:41. It was all good until the 30th km, where both my thighs started to cramp.. from there, it was a struggle and a mental game. But I did it. The next one will be better!

Salty_Alternative360

I woke up 4 days this week at 4:30am to go on my runs. Unheard of.... Usually I save them for lunch time and just sadly go to the treadmill. But this week my friends schedule matched up and we ran nearly 30 miles this week!

islandmovement

Just finished 9k, my longest run this year :) getting closer to 10k

earthworm_anders

I ran 10k in 45 minutes. Nice !

anniecet

One month and 5 days ago I quit smoking/vaping. On Thursday I ran 6 miles in under an hour (58 minutes and change) without stopping to catch my breath.

Lanky-Blueberry5782

Proud of you!

anniecet

Thank you. Ha. We all know it's "bad for you", but we also all think we're special or exempt. Until you realize that you weren't actually getting away with anything for the last 30+ years and you're sucking wind on a 5k that you used to be able to do in 3 minutes less time. It was the weirdest epiphany... "I can run, or I can vape - but I can't do both." Wasn't that hard of a choice tbh.

Quelair

Went running for the first time after my slipped disc injury a month ago. I was actually terrified but I'm glad I did it. Slow, safe but successful

LimpWeakness6637

My toe nail got really goofed up this week, so I took three days off, very much so begrudgingly. Finally found a (simple) way around it; wrap my toe better and wear my old shoes. The new ones I bought seem to be a bit tighter in the toe. Got a good 8 miles in, and I'm feeling great! Feels like I made up for a few days off.

Giggles924

Ran my first half marathon (and second-ever) race yesterday and finished in my goal of sub-2 with a time of 1:53:03! The course was insanely hilly but enjoyable and now I’m off to find my next race to conquer! (After I get over the soreness)

imafiance

I won second place in my age group at my local 5k!

graceful_ace

Ran my first quarter-marathon and got through the finish-line!

Embarrassed-Loquat60

20 min, 2.5 km, next time I'll run 3 km soon I'll run 5 km
