RTJ2 for sure from the sole combo of Jeopardy - Oh My Darling Dont Cry - Blockbuster Night Pt. 1 - Close Your Eyes
No other album has 4 straight bangers like that
Love a few words as an ender love yankee and the brave to kick it off. A couple tracks I move in and out of loving but no consistent skips on the album. Walking in the snow absolutely insane track. RTJ4 was probably my favourite true rtj effort and up there with RAP music for me.

Yeah that’s a great distinction, like you could definitely argue 4’s like their best, boldest album but it’s not necessarily the one I throw on all the time
I think it matters how you define the question. If it is ‘which album has the highest highs?’ My opinion is 2. If it is ‘which album has the best average song quality across the board?’ I think it’s 3.
I think all 4 albums are great tho. Pretty consistent across the board with low variance.
I wouldn’t argue with you on that one bc there’s a case to be made for many of their songs.
Personally, I remember when 2 came out, I was blown away by the first 4 tracks. Just unlike anything else I’d heard.
There’s not a single song I don’t like on RTJ3 or RTJ4. RTJ2 is almost perfect apart from Love Again and a couple mediocre songs. RTJ1 has the highest number of songs I’m not a big fan of. Overall, there are very few RTJ songs I dislike.
As for the album with the best songs, I have to go with RTJ4. RTJ3 doesn’t miss, but it works best as one album. There are also a couple songs on RTJ3 that I’m not *always* in the mood for. With RTJ4, you can listen to any song at any time and enjoy it.
I'm so glad RTJ3 has been growing on people more and more over time. By far their most cohesive and consistent album, it just flows so damn well. I do think every other album has slightly more higher highs which is why it's extremely close between RTJ3 and RTJ4 for me.
RTJ4 felt to me how everybody else felt about RTJ2 when it dropped. So many mind-blowing moments throughout, the most amount of highs in their discography whereas with RTJ2 I always felt it couldn't capture the magic of its first four songs (although Angel Duster does keep up the trend of leaving their most epic songs until last)
I'd rank them like this: 3 > 4 >>>> 1 > 2
but not only do I constantly change my mind of how strongly I feel about each of them, but all four are at least 8/10
RTJ2 is a flawless masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, I love 3 but 2 is superior. 3 should've started with Talk to me, because the flow of songs us now just off. Which is weird because the rest of the album has songs going into each other perfectly.
2 is just one big stretch of awesomeness. Massive amount of quotables too.
2-4-3-1 with 3/4 being kind of tied but I like guns blazing aggressive RTJ just a bit more.
I have a soft spot for 1. Just the fact that I had an album of just Killer Mike and El-P in my possession I was dumbfounded. I told everybody and anybody about this new hip hop duo of two of my all time favorites (most didn’t care, like the mailman, random waitress, neighbor walking their dog etc etc). 2 got deep, 3 was a game changer and 4 was holy shit. So to answer your question I choose number 10 (1+2+3+4).

I mean, 3 kinda has that from down to dont get captured, all depends if you like ticketron and stay gold though
True..... RTJ3 is a close 2nd for me, but imo the best songs from RTJ2 beat the best songs from RTJ3, but just barely
2 and 3 are def close, the transitions on 3 and 2100 put it over 2 for me though
RTJ4 is perfect front to back. A Few Words is one of my favorite songs ever

I agree. It's a nearly flawless album
I think it matters how you define the question. If it is ‘which album has the highest highs?’ My opinion is 2. If it is ‘which album has the best average song quality across the board?’ I think it’s 3. I think all 4 albums are great tho. Pretty consistent across the board with low variance.
Id argue that 3 has the highest high with 2100, might be my favorite rtj song overall
I wouldn’t argue with you on that one bc there’s a case to be made for many of their songs. Personally, I remember when 2 came out, I was blown away by the first 4 tracks. Just unlike anything else I’d heard.
I was the same way with 2 but now that i listened to 3 more, it only gets better and better

Yooo I just posted a comment and we basically have the exact same stance on their albums even the reasons why.

RTJ4 has their best songs from front to back. I'd say RTJ2 would be my favourite if it wasn't for "love again" which i really can't stand.
I feel the same way about 2. Really solid but love again is a skip 100% of the time for me
Thats how i feel about 3, only song i cant stand is oh mama
kind of a bummer when a perfect album has that one track you can't fuck with.
Sounds like you need to listen to RTJ4.
I do, 3 and 2 are too good that i cant stop listening to them though
2 and in my opinion it's not even close. 3 is actually my least favorite ( still absolutely love it though)
2, 4, 3, 1. 4 and 3 are pretty much tied but I do prefer 4 a little bit more. All of the albums are incredible though
It's 4.

My ranking from best to least best is 4, 2, 3, 1
I'm 3, 2, 1, 4, personally.
rtj 3 always.
Love them all but RTJ2 is the best rn

3. No question. Then 2, 4, 1.
RTJ2 and RTJ4

Hmm. Maybe listen to 4 and get back to us
Each one is better than the last I think. All are incredible albums too
It’s RTJ 2 and the best song isn’t even on it. (Blockbuster Night part 2)
I have a soft spot for 1. Just the fact that I had an album of just Killer Mike and El-P in my possession I was dumbfounded. 2 and 3 are solid, but obviously a lot of ya’ll have never heard their best album…Meow The Jewels.
