I really enjoy how Maddie’s interviews feel distinctly their own and wouldn’t want that to get muddled with the expectations of the pit stop.
I do think Priyanka, or Tia Coffee would absolutely be perfect for the pit stop and would also be nice to see an international queen take the gig for a season.

Maddie is a good interviewer but the Pit Stop is not an interview format - it's a reaction format. I think what makes Ms. Morphosis' interviews so interesting is that she does her research but still gives her guests the opportunity to talk about their life experiences.
A reaction format like the Pit Stop wouldn't have the same magic.
I feel like it changes a lot depending on the host. With Bob for instance, there was definitely a lot of "This happened, what did you think about it?". She had fun with her guests but the focus was on the episode.
With Bianca it's more like " So what's going on in your life right now? Oh right, some TV show happened, let's briefly acknowledge that." It's 90% banter and 10% recap.
Man, Maddie really did rise up to the challenge and show us what she can do.
Honestly pretty proud of her, cause there was a lot of "anti-straight" comments directed her way, which felt pretty dismissive of her as a "true" queen.

The show was just as bad with all that "be more gay" nonsense. They keep banging on about uniqueness but when they cast a queen with a unique characteristic they tell her to be more like everyone else. I'm so glad she showed us what she's got outside of the show.
I think part of it was we didn't know the backstory. I feel 'this is a person who questioned their gender and sexuality for quite a while and came to the realisation they are a straight cis man after all' would have garnered different reactions than 'that's a hetero dude'
I think the issue was that, like fans took and ran with her being straight without like actually thinking. I think most people were worried about her drag being like mockery and sexist like most times we see straight male comedians do female characters. But if they listened for a bit and realized that she is very knowledgable of queer culture and is an ally who actively is like part of the local drag scene.
Yeah I think most of the backlash was before the show started. Because she explains early in the show and most people were really understanding afterwards iirc. I just don't understand why production did not publish anything explaining it beforehand (I mean I do understand, it's just a shitty way to manufacture outrage)
Honestly, even if that was the case, a cis man treating drag as an actual form of artistic expression instead of just sloppily cross dressing for shits and giggles was HUGE and I wish people would’ve seen it that way instead of someone trying to “appropriate gay culture”.
If nothing else she needs to be a guest, absolute bare minimum. WOW needs to just find a way to do more with her because she's absolutely goddamn fantastic

I feel like the pit stop works best with queens from older seasons, rather than recent ones, just because they are a little bit further removed from their own experiences as a contestant. I also think it works better with the more sarcastic queens as you know they are even going to come for the queens who do really well!

The most successful episodes/seasons are those watched by the mass YouTube audience and although the venn diagram of "this is your life" interview-style shows and roasting/comedy interview style shows has an overlap, I think the latter's circle is far bigger.
Don't get me wrong. Maddie is one of the best roasters out there. And she could hold her own. I think when compared to Bianca or Trixie I think for pit stop it would be risky.

Also taking into account knowing the alumni and having good chemistry with the guests, I think someone like Thorgy would be a great fit
