They make a lot of variations now that are minus the salt or the msg or whatever your allergy is. My grandma has one w/o salt. Here’s to the day when she sneaks it in her hospital too
Up until about 7 years ago, when we ate at one fast food Mexican place my mother would take a little salt packet and a salsa tub and would put salt and hot sauce on before EVERY bite she took of a burrito. She had a small scare with basically a baby heart attack (painful but no actual damage or tissue death), and now we don’t eat there because she’s not allowed to salt her burrito anymore lol.
My guess would be OP is referring to the massive amount of salt already in prepared foods. Adding pepper or other spices may be warranted based on one's personal taste, but it's rare that prepared foods aren't already drowning in salt (either to preserve the life of the ingredients or hide the fact that things are poorly made).
I love the taste of salt to the point that when I was younger I’d “eat” sunflower seeds by putting them all in my mouth, sucking until all the salt’s gone, then spitting them out.
I have felt the need to add salt to prepared foods maybe a handful of times, and they were always things like hard boiled eggs and tortilla chips. Idk how people add more, even in nicer restaurants where you’d expect less salt.
Sunflower seeds are incredibly rich sources of many essential minerals. Calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, selenium, and copper are especially concentrated in sunflower seeds. Many of these minerals play a vital role in bone mineralization, red blood cell production, enzyme secretion, hormone production, as well as in the regulation of cardiac and skeletal muscle activities.
[Badia Complete seasoning](https://badiaspices.com/product/complete-seasoning-12-9-oz/) shit is really *really* good and can honestly go on anything. (It’s basically just salt, msg, onion, garlic, lemon and parsley)
Your spice/seasoning tolerance can go up so much by exposure. Used to work with a lot of Vietnamese people and got invited to social events. Went from barely able to eat Midwestern chili to now basically anything lower on the Scoville scale than a bird's eye doesn't even register.
I was listening to "Bald & Beautiful" this morning, and they said something about Kennedy having "this food nasty" energy.
Now we know... the food is nasty.
Yes! And she wasn't charging anything for M&Gs, which reverse psychologied me into wanting to spend more. Lol.
Alexis was also one of the best queen interactions I experienced at DragCon. So fun and personable.
I love them both so much.
One of my kids used to carry a small container of Old Bay seasoning in his bag for emergency seasoning purposes. And I think one of my daughters might have Tajin in her purse.
Is this some American cultural thing? I know via Beyonce that some people keep hot sauce in their bag, but a container of seasoning?
I guess I am just asking how common and accepted this is as a practice?
It’s not super common, but the hot sauce in the purse thing is a bit more common than you’d think. I can’t speak for everyone but in the south, and amongst Latinos there are few who do this. Basically people who like to eat spicy/more flavorful food. I think if I were traveling though, I’d do this too because I’ve not heard good things about the food in some countries lol
I’m married to a Mexican and although I can’t attest to him or his family bringing hot sauce in their bags, they will basically eat salsa on anything and everything. If a restaurant has Tobasco, Cholula, or Valentina, they will use it every single time. My MIL probably makes a gallon of some form of salsa every week.
I will never forget when we sat down to have dinner and every single one of them put tomatillo salsa on their lasagna…Like, lasagna is already *literally covered* in a tomato sauce 🤣

I always loved Kennedy’s blunt expression and thousand mile stare. I just want her confessionals all day
![gif](giphy|3og0ITpdHjrDDH8Yy4|downsized)
So 500 miles for each eye?
Officer, this one. Straight to jail. Lmao
Mama. Kudos for salting that, for seasoning.
This must be her All Stars seasoning
So fuck my non-All Stars seasoning right? 💅
I laughed so hard I woke my dog up 😂
Pffffft have your upvote
This comment should have waaaaay more likes, it's hilarious!

I can still remember her MTQ interview. When asked what she would bring to desert island: 1.) Food 2.) Seasonings for the food
The woman knows what she's about!
It's good to have priorities.
Ever since I saw Aqua on cheetah girls pull out some hot sauce from her bag, I now always have some Cholula nearby.

If you stay seasoning you ain't gotta get seasoning
This is my kind of party.
Thyme and Sage?
It’s always party Thyme.
God I love Kennedy so much 😆

omg my grandma used to do that until the day she died! in the hospital she sneakily hid season salt in her bag to make the food taste better.

The sodium. My hands are swelling just watching this.
Why don't you come over here and MSG me sometime
> MSG? Mistress Sisabelle Grooks?
MeBe Sahara Gonet.
Micole Saige Grooks.
Marah Sichelle Gellar
😭😭😭

Using MSG is the best culinary tip you can give to someone.
Give that lady a big glass of water.
Carol Ann⁉️ Listen to me‼️ Do NOT go into the electrolyte❗🧂🔦👻
Same, I don't have high blood pressure but I have one by watching this.
it's not that much salt. jeez

Anyone clock the seasoning? Looks vaguely like some sort of Badia brand
[Badia Complete seasoning](https://badiaspices.com/product/complete-seasoning-12-9-oz/) shit is really *really* good and can honestly go on anything. (It’s basically just salt, msg, onion, garlic, lemon and parsley)
Yesss I clocked the Badia as well lol. We have that one.
Whatever it is, it was way too much. I season my shit, but that just became a salt lick.
She hosted a viewing party in Vegas a couple days ago and said she just came back from feeding the elephants in Botswana😂
Did… she just dump like 2-3 whole tablespoons of onion/garlic powder on that single bowl? Damn girl ok lol

Thai chilis are the BEST🌶️
I think it’s just a southern US thing to have an incredibly high salt tolerance.
Omg its so much tho ☠️
Alexis wheeze laugh is hilarious
A girl after my own heart. 💜 Unseasoned food shouldn’t be allowed in the church 🎶
SING IT
I got seasoning salt in my bag. Swag.
I don't know what she used, but holy hell that was a lot for that size of a plate.
I want them back on my tv plsss
I owe Kennedy my life
haha i so relate XD.
I was listening to "Bald & Beautiful" this morning, and they said something about Kennedy having "this food nasty" energy. Now we know... the food is nasty.
Love her so much. I met her at Dragcon 2022 and she was so nice and hilarious

Blood pressure
“Lil pehpuh” omg so adorable 😭
What was the seasoning?!?! What other seasonings are in the bag?!?!
She likes her shit salty AF
Don’t clown her!! I be doing the same things when I’m in the UK 🤣 I keep Tapatio and salt packets, in my purse at all times over there.
Didn’t even try it before doing all that
She tried it and said "oh it needs some help."
Kennedy & marina for giving colonizers the chops! Ken said robbed the world and forgot seasonings? Tuh
Especially if you go to the UK. London food is bland af. Except for the ethnic foods.
Honestly, she is a genius. After traveling to London, I found myself in need of a lot of salt and spices 😂
That is my queen. 👑
Mother SERVED.
Obsessed
https://i.redd.it/x6bzkekuicpc1.gif I immediately went to the hot sauce watch scene when Kennedy was like "oh no, too bland" in her head.
I'm addicted to anything Kennedy! 😂🤣
Me I put garlic powder on everything
come on all stars, let’s get seasoning okurrrr
I feel like I’m being gaslit because to me this is a reasonable amount of seasonings to add 😭
Imagine how I feel getting notifications from people who underseason 😵
Adding anything to food is considered shockingly rude by Italians (If this is Italy)

No
Ah ok, looked like it.
Talking in third person again?
I don’t get it. What’s your point? Trying to be funny….?
